A-Lai Sweet Potato Noodles is located on Tongde Road in Nangang District, near Houshanpi MRT Station and Zhongxiao Hospital. This sweet potato noodle place has been famous in Nangang for over twenty years, relying solely on this one item, with many customers dining in and quite a few waiting for takeout at most times.
Today I enjoyed sweet potato noodles with vermicelli, priced at 85 NT dollars.
Sweet potato noodles with vermicelli: Each item of the sweet potato noodles is incredibly delicious, with the fish paste products full of elasticity and not falling apart. The blood cake is moderately soft and very easy to eat. The delicate vermicelli paired with a refreshing and rich broth is definitely a pleasure. The radish soaked with broth is so delicious that it makes you forget to let it cool down.
Even if you finish the sweet potato noodles, you can go to the soup area to get hot soup, and they won’t stop you from drinking it, which is a great benefit.
Overall, being hailed as the most delicious sweet potato noodles in Taipei, I think it’s not without reason. The restaurant has almost never stopped serving customers, and while there might be slight oversights from the staff due to the large number of customers, the quality is undeniable. Before completing this review, I also took out several times along the way, and each time the taste remained unchanged, with very stable quality.
Highly recommended to everyone!
Reviewer with Braces: The airport restroom is clean 👍
After exiting through Terminal 2 at Narita Airport, I chose "Nihonbashi Tamai" to conclude my trip in Japan. The restaurant clearly indicated at the entrance that it had been recommended by Michelin Bib Gourmand for four consecutive years, so I was eager to give it a try. I ordered the anago tempura set meal (star eel tempura set) for 3,410 yen plus a draft beer for 770 yen, totaling 4,180 yen. The set included a large piece of star eel, shrimp, okra, sweet potato, pumpkin, lotus root, a bowl of white rice, soup, and pickled vegetables. The white rice was delicate, and the draft beer met Japanese standards, being refreshing and tasty. However, the other ingredients were mediocre, especially the star eel, which was disappointing due to its strong fishy taste that affected the overall flavor. What started as an expectation did not fulfill, and I ultimately felt that this meal was not worth the price, especially for a restaurant that promotes itself with a Michelin recommendation; it was somewhat unacceptable.
The food court at Breeze Plaza on the second floor of Taipei Main Station is always crowded on weekends, and you will inevitably have to queue for a while.
The appetizer of the set meal was served first: Japanese salad, pre-mixed with oil and vinegar (is this Japanese style?) to make it taste sweet and refreshing. The specially blended sparkling drink (Calpis Apple) is so bland that you can't taste its flavor. It only has fine bubbles, which is easy to relieve tiredness. But the main meal hasn’t been served yet?
Overall, the tableware and decoration are very Japanese-style, but at this price point, the quality of the food is not up to par.
🔱 Urakami 天ぷら うらかみ 🔱
Let me talk about the conclusion first. This store definitely deserves five stars. If possible, I would give it six stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟
The store is near Nakanoshima in Osaka, not far from our hotel, the Royal Ritz-Carlton, and within walking distance.
I ordered lunch at noon on Sunday. I must explain the business hours and mode of this store.
On weekdays, they only serve dinner, and the prices are the highest.
Only on holidays there is an extra lunch (and of course dinner), and there is a special package for holiday lunch (it’s amazing, right)
The price of the special package is: 6,000 yen (before tax) and the regular package is: 10,000 yen (before tax)
Of course, you have to order one of each to compare.
Another reason why I highly recommend this store is that one of the apprentices there is Taiwanese.
He introduces each dish in Chinese and how to match the ingredients (salt or tempura sauce)
Even people who don’t speak Japanese can understand it very well XD
(PS. The salt here is divided into three types...)
Sea urchin soup was served first, followed by sashimi. The sashimi is very fresh, sweet and delicious.
Next came two shrimps, one was original shrimp and the other was perilla shrimp. The taste of perilla is unique, refreshing and refreshing. I personally love it
Then comes the fish, followed closely by the green peppers.
Next is the exclusive fried wagyu beef wrapped in shiso for 10,000 yen! I personally think this dick is super cool. When I took a bite, the juices inside were overflowing, mixed with the fragrance of perilla. I liked it.
The next hard dish is this small yellow croaker. The belly of the small yellow croaker tastes slightly salty and bitter, but this is also one of its characteristics.
But his biggest highlight is freshness. How fresh is it? There is a fish tank behind the chef's cooking table, and the small yellow croakers are fished out from it and put into the frying pan...
(The penultimate one can see his surviving companion, but he will not survive the night...)
Fried corn, I highly recommend this one, it’s super sweet and delicious.
Then, the shrimp head appeared. When I wanted to eat tempura, I came here for this shrimp head. The shrimp head can be said to be thick and standing at the same time. After one bite, it is extremely crispy.
! Highly recommended!
Then came the staple food, the tempura rice bowl (10,000) and chazuke rice (6,000) were served, but they were both very delicious and I felt very full after eating them.
Most of the people who come to this store are Japanese. A Taiwanese guy said that he hasn’t met anyone who speaks Chinese in a long time XD
In addition, their restaurant was recently recommended by Michelin. Although it has not yet received a star, it is still recognized.
I am really grateful to meet Taiwanese compatriots, so that this delicious tempura meal will not be confused.

Loads of fried food always bring me a full sense of happiness. When I'm bored at work, I feel like I must have a bowl of fried food rice bowl after work. "Kanako Hannosuke" appeared in my mind when I was thinking about it today. restaurant in front
"Kaneko Hannosuke" is a Tendon specialty store. Tendon is a bowl of rice topped with fried tempura topped with sauce. In short, it is a bowl of rice covered with fried tempura.
The branch I visited today is located on the 2nd floor of Breeze Taipei Station. This entire floor is a restaurant. I arrived at 7:30 on a Monday evening. I saw Kaneko Hannosuke didn’t have to queue, so I decided it was the one.
Grilled salmon family meal for two $399 + set meal $89
A double meal consists of two bowls of rice. Of course, the portions of both bowls are smaller than regular rice bowls. One bowl is the Yangchun Tendon, and the other is the Grilled Salmon Oyako Don.
The seared salmon is quite thin, with some salmon roe on top. It tastes quite good, not unpalatable but not amazing. The Yangchun version of the Tendon contains Japanese maitake mushrooms, Japanese seaweed, green dragon, fried shrimp, and fried eggs, which all taste pretty good. , especially like fried eggs and seaweed
I think this set is very suitable for people who want to eat more abundantly but have difficulty in choosing. But to be honest, the price is still a bit expensive.
Fragrant Chicken Tendon $299 + set meal $89
It's actually a fried chicken donburi, served with a fried egg. There are no other side dishes. The fried egg is a half-boiled egg. When you poke it, the yolk will flow out. It's great to eat with white rice. The seasoning of the fried chicken is pretty good, with a little bit of pepper flavor. , but I think it was a bit too fried and the chicken became a bit hard
For the set meal, you can choose between salad, miso soup, drink, and ice cream.
The salad is a bit bitter, so I wouldn’t recommend it; the miso soup is okay, but a bit salty; the Calpis apple sparkling drink is quite refreshing.
Overall, people who like fried food and rice will probably like Kaneko Hannosuke, but I personally feel that it tastes a bit empty. 2/3 is eating rice. I have tried my best to pace it, but the fried food is a bit empty. The food is still not enough to go with rice... And the miso soup is only available with a set meal. I think the CP value is a bit low...
I originally wanted to give it two stars, but the fried food was pretty good, so I’ll give it one more star.
Things are affordable and affordable, the food tastes relatively light, and the soup tastes a little sweet. You can pick up any food from outside and pay after the meal. There will be an extra menu on the wall for dine-in use, but the proprietress said that because of the epidemic, nothing has been cooked except braised pork rice and so on. So the main thing is that the oden stall at the door is cooking. If you want to add more soup, the boss will help you add soup for free!
It’s nice to eat here when the weather is cold. You can pick up the food and mix it yourself, and you can finish the soup with unlimited refills. Moreover, the prices are very cheap and relatively light. The mushrooms here are also delicious. People who love mushrooms can come here to eat mushrooms. By the way, there is also beef that can be added to the soup, but sometimes there are tendons in it. Overall it’s pretty good!
