▶ Lava Burger Patty Sandwich $340 ◀
This sandwich contains a beef burger patty, pickles, caramelized onions, cheese, Sriracha Thousand Island dressing, and sourdough bread. What's special is that they use sourdough bread instead of a regular bun! The caramelized onions add a hint of sweetness that pairs perfectly with the juicy beef patty. It's a delicious combination of salty and sweet! It even features two different types of cheese to enhance the flavor.
▶ Delicious Crab Meat Avocado Burger $380 ◀
This avocado burger looks stunning! It creatively substitutes avocado for starch. Inside, you'll find king crab meat sticks and Korean pickles, two very different dishes surprisingly harmonizing together. It’s seasoned with green wasabi mayo and salsa, and honestly, it tastes very much like California sushi! There’s also a salad on the side, dressed with a grapefruit lemon dressing that is sweet, providing a nice contrast to the avocado burger.
▶ Mexican Corn $150 ◀
Grilled corn topped with a special Mexican seasoning mix and sprinkled with cheese. What's impressive is that the corn retains a lot of juice and has a natural sweetness.
▶ Espresso with Soda and Spiced Grapefruit Juice $200 ◀
The aroma of grapefruit is rich and very smooth! It’s similar to the preparation of Sicilian coffee; even though it’s espresso, it has no bitterness—instead, it's sweet! Those who are hesitant about drinking American-style coffee can give this a try!
▶ Espresso with Secret Milk $160 ◀
This is made similarly to Vietnamese coffee, with a sweet milky flavor. If you love lattes, you must try this!
This place can be considered a sandwich shop of the snack type. It's quite well-known in the area, as people were already lining up outside before it even opened! There are actually no seats inside for dining, so most people buy their food and leave in their cars, or like us, we sat in the nearby rest area to eat right away! We ordered two items.
❤️ Hot Chicken Sando
The chicken flavor is probably the signature item of the shop. It has varying levels of spiciness, and if you can't handle spicy food, you can choose the least spicy option. I opted for medium spiciness, and the chicken fillet was very large and tender, juicy enough to be the perfect description... but I did find it a bit too spicy for my mouth, while my friend was enjoying it a lot, so it mainly depends on your tolerance for spice... otherwise you'll end up like me, needing to drink a lot of water after a few bites!
❤️ Fish Sando
If you've ever tried their McFish sandwich, you'll likely be completely conquered because it's way better than McDonald's McFish! Their fish sandwich is more than twice the size of McDonald's, and when you take a bite, you can see a huge piece of white fish! Plus, their sauce is very appetizing, making you want to eat a few more bites. The portions are actually very generous; I couldn't finish it by myself, and even a guy would feel quite full after eating it—definitely generous and not at all stingy!
Overall, I highly recommend it, but the location is not easy to find, and it's quite an inconspicuous little shop! But if you have the chance, I definitely recommend going to try it out!
Chain fast food sandwich shop
After choosing the main dish, you select the bread, vegetables, and sauces
There are many options and a high degree of freedom
For picky eaters like me, it's easy to avoid everything I don’t eat
Or for those who enjoy rich toppings, they will also like it
If two people order the same main dish, they can customize it separately
But they both pay for the 12-inch price 👍
And the standard operating procedures are well implemented
Each time, the portion size is consistent
Today, I had tender sliced chicken on white bread with English sliced cheese, small cucumbers, and no sauce
After placing the main dish and cheese on the bread, it gets heated
The melted cheese is wonderful
Biting into it offers a rich texture
The only downside is that the 6-inch sandwich makes you hungry quickly.

The sandwiches are very distinctive and delicious, made with rich and quality ingredients.
The sandwiches are hand-pressed on the spot.
Although there is a bit of wait time for their preparation, they are extremely tasty! 👍👍
The drinks are standard.
The desserts are also quite good.
The overall style of this café is very well created,
making it perfect for taking photos! 😍
Whether from the outside to the inside,
every angle looks great for capturing. ✋
The exterior has a vintage feel,
like a corner grocery store.
Inside, there are various small objects and items that are great for viewing and photographing.
The only drawback might be that the indoor space is a bit small…
The distance between tables is very tight,
but it also offers a cozy and warm feeling.
This place is perfect for bringing a book or a small laptop and phone,
to leisurely spend time here,
order a sandwich or dessert,
paired with a cup of coffee or tea,
enjoying a relaxed time in Hualien,
giving off a sense of paradise!
🤪🤪 Dickson's Mouth Cannon 🤪🤪
As a girl who loves coffee shops,
you've become accustomed to the bustling coffee shops of the city.
It's time to experience this kind of paradise-like brunch café!
And such a beautiful shop,
I'm sure girls would love it
and request photos from various angles!
Look at the shop's entrance,
paired with Hualien's brilliant sunlight,
it’s a photo-generating zone! 😍😍😍
I say, isn't it time to train a bit?
With beautiful photos and delicious afternoon tea and coffee,
what else could you possibly want?
Near the MRT City Hall Station, there is a brunch place 🍞 with limited seating inside.
You can choose between toast or bagels for the meal, and you can upgrade to a blueberry bagel for an additional charge. For an extra thirty dollars, you can upgrade the meal to include more drinks 🥤.
The meals come with bread spread with peanut butter and bacon, which have a common taste—nothing too salty or seasoned; it's quite standard. However, the vegetables are quite large and fresh.
Overall, the taste is average; it's not hard to eat but also not particularly special.
Pingtung's old-fashioned night market soy milk is something that every Pingtung person has either tried or at least seen. It’s located at the first stall on the corner of Minzu Night Market, and the owner is a genuine Hong Konger with a strong Hong Kong accent, yet they serve classic Taiwanese flavors.
Their sandwiches are a must-try. From the initial price of 12 NT dollars, it has now risen to 25 NT dollars but is still very affordable. The classic taste remains unchanged; the sandwich is simply spread with mayonnaise and includes ham and half a boiled egg (a thin slice). It’s a simple combination of ingredients, but it’s filled with nostalgia.
The dumplings are handmade and cooked fresh; a serving of 10 pieces costs 60 NT dollars. The filling is solid and juicy, and you have to enjoy it with a bowl of sour and spicy soup. The soup is even more sour, and if it’s not spicy enough, there’s homemade chili oil from the owner that you can add.
Sitting on a bustling street enjoying these simple dishes is what Pingtung flavor is all about for the locals.
[Foodholic Niko @ Taipei]
This store not only has signature sandwiches but also features very unique fried chicken.
"Semi Club" is located near the Zhongshan Junior High School Station, about a 6-minute walk. I had seen this sandwich and brunch spot shared by a KOL I follow on IG, so I chose a weekend to give it a try.
This place has two levels: the first floor is mainly for drink preparation and the bar seating area, with some regular seating, while the basement is not as cool (but after I murmured almost inaudibly, I noticed the staff adjusted the air conditioning 😂).
The decor is minimalist and modern, predominantly in white and silver, which young people will likely appreciate. The basement also features a selection shop, so you can browse while waiting for your food.
Semi Club Signature Sandwich: $340
(Pineapple cream cheese, pulled pork, cilantro avocado salsa, sriracha mayonnaise, white cheese, sourdough bread)
First, the advantages: the sourdough bread is probably buttered before being toasted, making it crispy and flavorful; I loved the bread part! Since there’s sriracha mayonnaise, it has a slight spiciness. Perhaps due to the cheese or the seasoning of the pork, I felt the overall dish was a bit salty—it’s tasty, but you'll find yourself wanting to drink some beverage or water.
By the way, the flavors of cilantro and avocado aren't very strong, so those who aren't fans of cilantro should still give it a try.
Cuban Sandwich: $330
(Slices of cheese, smoked ham, pulled pork, arugula, pickles, mustard seed mayonnaise, focaccia)
This sandwich’s bread is just as excellent, toasted to a crispness that isn’t harsh on the mouth. Apart from the pulled pork, there’s ham, which adds a bit more depth to the overall texture. Initially, I thought the arugula was quite refreshing, but later I felt that having it with the arugula and pickles together was also a bit too salty.
Club Fried Chicken: $200
I think this dish had the highest cost-performance value among everything we tried. It’s tasty and hearty, so it doesn’t feel expensive. The fried chicken is made from chicken breast but isn’t dry; it's just that one piece was slightly undercooked, so they might want to pay attention to that. Instead of using flour to fry, they used something resembling corn chips or cereal as a substitute, making the outer layer crispier and with a hint of sweetness—I personally love it. The chicken itself is already seasoned, so even without dipping it in the mustard seed mayonnaise, the flavor is sufficient; dipping makes it a bit too salty.
Drink 06 (Espresso, Secret Milk, Ruby Black Tea): $160
We took a sip before stirring, so the first taste was the acidity of the espresso, which I usually don’t enjoy. But after mixing it, I was impressed with the taste—it was really good! The espresso blends well with the black tea, and the "secret milk" adds sweetness; overall, it’s very smooth to drink.
Drink 05 (Espresso, Secret Milk, Chocolate): $160
This drink has a mix of acidity and sweetness. However, because the chocolate is quite prominent, it ended up feeling a bit too sweet by the end; I didn’t enjoy this one as much.
Overall, both sandwiches performed well, though I feel they were a bit salty. I preferred the Cuban sandwich more. For drinks, I recommend 06, and I’d like to try 04 (Espresso, Secret Milk) next time. The fried chicken is quite special; if dining with two or more people, I recommend ordering it.
If a friend enjoys American sandwiches, I’d recommend this place for dining.
The downside is that the prices are quite high; for two people having brunch, it easily comes to about 600 NT each. 😳
A well-known sandwich shop.
Located at Exit 8 of the Minquan West Road MRT Station, it's just a short walk away.
If you plan to buy a bit more, remember to bring your own plastic bag; their small plastic bags cost $3 and the large ones cost $5.
There are seats available in the shop, but it doesn't seem very convenient for long stays.
The signature flavor of the sandwiches has always been delicious: ham and cheese, a simple combination but with great taste. There are also jam flavors, sweet or savory depending on personal preference.
They have now started selling flaky pastry flavors, but I felt the prices were a bit high, so I didn't buy any to try. They have also begun selling some Mid-Autumn Festival gift boxes.
The store may be a little difficult to find, it is located in a small passage
The shop owner is a grandpa and he is very kind.
Although the price is a little expensive, I think it is worth it
There are plenty of ingredients inside and it tastes very filling.
Ham and egg ingredients include cucumber/tomato slices/peanut butter/fried egg/ham
The eggs are also fried in a pot on site, and you can feel the steam from the pot
🌟Things to consider when it comes to hygienic hand hygiene
I remember eating it a long time ago. It was a familiar taste and recipe from my childhood. The charcoal grilled flavor of the toast was very familiar. The strawberry jam➕egg, the so-called ancient taste of my hometown! !
"Charcoal Grilled Sandwich" used to be outside the Wu Temple, but now it is located on the other side of the Wu Temple. The business hours have been changed and the sales are until 5 o'clock in the evening. If you want to eat and see, you can go there. There is only one charcoal grill, so you need to wait patiently. I don't want to wait for suggestions. Call to book.
The menu is very simple, with one variety and three flavors, strawberry, peanut, and cream. Each portion costs 40 yuan. You can also add eggs for 50 yuan if I remember correctly.
Charcoal toast 💰40
Charcoal-grilled toast is made for one person at a time. Spread jam on the toast and add fried eggs. Finally, put the toast on the charcoal fire until it is lightly browned on both sides (turn the toast with your hands). Nowadays, people pay attention to wearing gloves. You may mind), it was that simple during the grandma period. It was like this before and it is still like this now, but now the second generation has taken over.
Thoughts: This taste is just like when I was a child. Nowadays, most people use ovens or frying stations. The toast will not have a charcoal aroma. If you want to taste the charcoal aroma, it is still recommended. It is just not delicious enough to queue up. I think .
If you pay attention to food: old-fashioned taste, average and charcoal aroma
If you pay attention to the environment: very simple roadside stalls, if you pay too much attention to wearing gloves, be careful
Pay attention to parking: motorcycles can park at the door
Cars can approach the roadside
If you pay attention to the toilet: none
If you pay attention to queuing: the speed is very fast and there is almost no need to queue.
(I went there on weekdays)
If you value service: Auntie will still greet you warmly
If you pay attention to CP value: 🌟🌟🌟🌟
(Just talking about food and prices)
