📍Neihu District, Taipei City (MRT Xihu Station)
A store specializing in pistachio-themed drinks and desserts 🌰💚
I was first attracted to this store because they have pistachio milk foam! I usually love milk foam, so I couldn't resist.
After taking a sip of the drink, I absolutely loved it 🥰🥰 At first, I didn’t plan to write a review for this place! I immediately took photos to document it.
The store's interior is very comfortable, surrounded by a green color scheme themed around pistachios 🥳 There are seats available for dining in.
🥤 Fragrant Oolong Pistachio Milk Foam Tea ($65):
This tea has two types of Oolong tea base; I chose the fragrant Oolong, which is marked.
This Oolong tea has a clear, refreshing aroma and doesn't have a roasted taste that overpowers the milk foam.
The highlight of this drink is the pistachio milk foam; it’s not as rich and creamy as other types of milk foam.
The flavor of the milk foam is key! It truly doesn't disappoint those who love pistachios!
The pistachio flavor is strong enough, and the aftertaste is very distinct, with a slight sandy, nutty texture that I highly recommend 🤩
🍭 Pistachio Fresh Cream Custard Pastry ($65):
While enjoying the milk foam in the store, I was drawn in by the aroma of this pastry 🤣
Initially, I thought the price was a bit high, but it turned out to be a super big piece 😆
The filling features an untried flavor, packed with pistachio essence.
The outer crust has a texture similar to that of a cream cake.
🍄
Would I revisit? Yes!
The staff is very friendly.
The items I tried this time definitely make me want to return 😍

🔸 Supports EasyCard! LinePay and Jiekou Payment services.
Handmade Taro Cream Pancakes $60, the combination of taro and fresh milk with pancakes is quite delicious. The pancakes are crispy and the taro is generous in serving size, making the overall taste and texture very good.
Spring Cold Brew Tea $30, this tea is unsweetened and it doesn't taste astringent, which is nice.
The restaurant has limited seating and a decorated environment.
The prices for the dishes in the shop are relatively affordable, so ordering more won't sting your wallet.
🚩Geographic Location🧭
Located near the intersection of Daming Road and Section 2 of Zhongxing Road in Dali District, Taichung City, across from Xinputi Hospital. If you’re lucky, you can find a parking spot on the sidewalk in front of the entrance.
🪑About the Overall Atmosphere🎡
The sign has a white background with black characters in a standard script that says "Port Tofu." The cooking area and ordering area are at the front, with about four tables for dine-in. Inside there is a store dog, a bulldog named Avocado, said to be very lively, but today it wasn’t very responsive. Mobile payment is supported.
💰About the Pricing💰
Barley Tofu + Peanuts $50
🍴About the Dishes☕
Since I have some preferences regarding tofu, I don’t drink broth that is made with brown sugar, and I also don’t eat hard peanuts, plus the barley has to be soft and mushy. So I made sure to clarify everything before ordering this bowl. Although they met my requirements, I found the barley broth to be on the sweeter side, and the tofu wasn’t very soft, feeling a bit coarse.
🤨Conclusion♥
Overall, I still prefer Tong Yuan Tofu, but this place has a store dog to play with, which adds a few extra points.

Comfortable atmosphere 🌤️
This is a dining area built separately.
After climbing the mountain, it’s time to replenish calories! 🤣
Halfway up, I saw a banner that said "Aiyu, Aiyu Egg Pancake,"
and suddenly my appetite kicked in? 🤤
I was originally planning to head down—just thought I’d take a look since it was only 300 meters away.
From a distance, I saw a shop set up by the roadside, and it looked a bit scary! 🤣
When I went in, I ordered directly; the owner would place tokens on a plate, and once ready, she would call you to pick it up.

The new Hong Cha Lao Die that opened near my house has a buy one get one free promotion for its grand opening, so I decided to give it a try!
As a result….
At checkout, there was a rude short-haired lady clerk….
A new store, and this lady clerk has already ruined its reputation…
What a shame!
I ordered Milk Tea with Sweet Potato Balls, slightly sweet, and one cup costs $50.
Wow… it’s really sweet…
Looks like next time I’ll try ordering it with less sugar.
Actually, the price of drinks at this brand is okay.
Now I’m looking forward to them improving the sweetness!
At least it needs to be normal to taste the flavor of milk tea.
There’s a super large Gao Mu milk at the entrance, which is very cute,
a sign of Gao Xiong milk!
After looking closely at the menu, they also sell thick slices!
Looks like there’s an extra light meal option for dinner.
As long as it’s not so sweet next time, I’ll start buying frequently.
When I was studying, the pancake shop in the small wooden house at National Chiao Tung University was incredibly popular; I often had to wait forty to fifty minutes. At that time, I really thought it was delicious, and perhaps because I was still a student with lots of spare time, I enjoyed queuing for good food. 😆 But now, this branch at Nanya University seems to have a much lighter crowd, which makes it a lot easier.
This time, I ordered two varieties: the spicy fried chicken and vegetable pancake with green peppercorn, and the vanilla custard. First, speaking of the spicy fried chicken, the flavor is pretty standard; the numbing and fragrant taste is present, but the chicken slices are actually a bit thin. Coupled with the relatively high price, the cost-performance ratio isn't that great. In contrast, the vanilla custard was a pleasant surprise; the sweetness of the filling is just right, not too overwhelming, and combined with the crispy texture of the pancake, it left me satisfied.
The store's environment is quite simple, without much decorative flair, but the service is friendly, and the food comes out quickly. The overall atmosphere is quite suitable for students or nearby residents looking to satisfy their cravings.
In conclusion, the popularity of the small wooden house pancakes may not be as strong as in the past (if anyone from Chiao Tung University can share about the current status of the small wooden house, that would be great!), but the classic sweet options are still worth trying.
🥤 Brown Sugar Crispy Milk Foam Jin Xuan $75 (1 cup)
1 cup unsweetened with less ice, another cup with a little sugar and less ice.
Last time I had unsweetened green tea, this time I chose Jin Xuan.
First, about the unsweetened part, I personally prefer the taste of milk foam + Jin Xuan. It might also be because last time the green tea was paired with regular milk foam, while this time the Jin Xuan is paired with crispy sugar milk foam, so I find the Jin Xuan milk foam tastes better.
😅 However, neither of these unsweetened drinks really wowed me; they only seem to meet basic standards.
🤔 Just when I really didn't understand why the milk foam series is a signature item from "Sleep Five More Minutes," I took a sip of the mildly sweetened Jin Xuan with milk foam...
Ah, now I understand~~😘
🍯 A little sugar is needed to enhance the flavor!!
Okay, it turns out I misunderstood "Sleep Five More Minutes." I was even thinking maybe I should take a 5-minute nap to enjoy it better. 😆😆😆
❤️ Next time I will remember to at least go for a little sugar ❤️

▪️Mung Bean Soft Serve Cone $80
▪️Mung Bean Soup (given on the day of voting)
I originally had no expectations for the ice cream, but I ended up really liking it. It's quite large, and I love its milky taste, while the mung bean flavor is a subtle accompaniment. It's very smooth and delicious, but if you are someone who loves a strong mung bean flavor, you might be a little disappointed. The cone itself is also very tasty!
The mung bean soup was obtained through voting that day, and I’m not sure if the original size is the same, so I didn’t price it. The mung bean soup was a bit surprising; I initially thought it would be a beautiful shallow soup, but the mung beans were very plump and cooked to a creamy consistency. It had the skin but you couldn’t taste it, and the texture was excellent. The soup wasn’t too sweet, making it super enjoyable!!
Overall, it was quite impressive because there’s only a branch in Taichung. If I pass by, I would want to stop by and eat again (the staff mentioned that the soft serve is only available at the Qing Shui rest area).
Review by a user: There are many wash basins in the service area, which is very convenient.
I hope the mung bean soup branch will be located at the Qing Shui service area. It turns out to be a branch of a well-known Taichung store, and their products can also be purchased at 7-11! They focus on desserts made with mung beans, red beans, and grass jelly, along with ice cream, offering both single items and set choices. Right now, there’s a promotion where you can vote online to receive a cup of mung bean soup.
This time I tried two items:
Mung Bean Soup (60 NTD): The sweetness is just right, with plump and soft mung bean grains that have no shell texture. It’s rare to find mung bean soup where the beans are intact and not mushy; when I cook it at home, they usually break or overcook.
Mung Bean Ice Cream Cone (80 NTD): The creamy ice cream has a natural mung bean flavor that isn’t too sweet, and it pairs perfectly with the crispy cone.
Overall, both items are worth trying, especially for those who enjoy refreshing desserts.
