"Taipei/Taichung/Tainan - Stray Dogs Don't Cry"

Many people love cats and dogs, but there are also many who heartlessly abandon them. In Taiwan, there are a lot of stray animals without a home. I hope everyone can join the call to adopt instead of buying.

I really like that there is a banner inside the Taipei store that says:
"The meaning of adoption is to put down your own preferences and support a life that has no one, because you are rebuilding hope."

I personally can't face the scenes of life and death with pets. Additionally, my home is not suitable for raising furry kids, and I do not have enough time to stay at home to accompany them. Therefore, what I can do is support the store through my purchases and help them find a home with my small efforts.

If you also love cats and dogs, feel free to come and see them in the store. You can make an online reservation first to choose whether to sit in the cat area or dog area. The store has relevant regulations that everyone needs to cooperate with. If you bring children, please watch them closely. The staff is very friendly and will handle any situations that arise promptly.

I hope that every time I visit, there are different strays, which means more furry kids have found their destined families.

＞ It’s delicious ice cream! You can stir it into the tea to make the red tea taste better～ It’s also fine to drink it alone, but since it’s fixed half sugar, having the ice cream first and then drinking the tea may feel less sweet; you can drink according to your preference.

[Taoyuan Zhongli] Food. Light Machine 2.0

I've saved up for at least three years and still haven't had the chance to go!
To eat, I don’t necessarily run far,
But for a restaurant that allows pets, it's worth a special trip XD

That day, I specifically went to check out the newly relocated 2.0.
There are a total of six dogs, sorted by age:
Qiusen, AUDI, Huahua, Brandy, Wuhuarou, and Chunli.
The top three oldest are all Border Collies (tri-color and meteor color).
Brandy is a Samoyed, with very fluffy fur.
Wuhuarou is a rare Bernese Mountain Dog, super big! (Fooday's camera didn't capture it) It has a kind of big brother, very steady vibe, lying down like a carpet XD so soft and pettable.
Chunli is a giant Poodle, with curly, soft fur.

Keeping pets is really not easy, but the cleanliness of the environment is very well maintained.
You can feel that these furry kids are well taken care of.
Although the shop space isn't large and the dogs can’t run around,
They are taken out regularly for bathroom breaks.

The dogs move around freely and rest by the dining tables.
So cute RRRRR! It's a super comforting and happy dining time.
There is a fixed time for staff to take group photos (they're great at it).
I recommend everyone to find time to come play with them ❤️

＞ I really liked this dish! The mildly spicy flavor of the Mexican spice powder blends well with the risotto, the shrimp is shelled, and it tastes really fragrant – very fresh feeling.

◽ Stir-fried Wild Mushroom Chicken Thigh Noodles $380
＞ I was quite disappointed that the seasoning wasn't salty enough, and there wasn't much sauce. The chicken thigh was also overcooked, very burnt on the surface, without the juiciness of the meat, overall quite dry.

◽ Red Wine Beef Omurice✨$360
＞ The sourness of the red wine sauce is evident, and the meat isn't tender, it's more elastic in texture. Overall, it's not bad.

Rabbit Dreams is located near Da’an Forest Park, just a three-minute walk from Da’an Forest Park Station. This restaurant features adorable rabbit interactions alongside delicious meals, making it a dream destination for rabbit lovers. The shop originally operated in the Liuzhangli area, and even now, the current Rabbit King, Yuan Zhi, is still full of health and vitality.

Today, I enjoyed Chewy and Chubby, mildly spicy pork curry rice, truffle mushroom risotto, lychee rose sparkling drink, and luohanguo longan tea, totaling 1144 TWD.

Chewy and Chubby:
They have gentle personalities and enjoy soft strokes. The interaction area has clean rabbit blankets and specific interaction times, with staff guiding throughout to ensure the rabbits' comfort and safety. The rabbits available for interaction change each session!

Mildly Spicy Pork Curry Rice:
The presentation is quite cute, with the rice shaped into a rabbit. The curry sauce is aromatic and slightly spicy, perfectly complementing the rice. The pork is tender and juicy, cooked just right, with sides of vegetables, tomatoes, and pickles, making it both delicious and nutritious. The soft-boiled egg is also very tasty. The miso soup has a fair amount of ingredients.

Truffle Mushroom Risotto:
The sauce is rich but not overwhelming, and the truffle aroma is perfectly balanced with the freshness of the mushrooms. The rice has a perfect bite, maintaining a firm texture. A small rabbit carved from red pepper adds a cute touch. The seafood chowder is decent.

Lychee Rose Sparkling Drink:
The bubbles are refreshing, and the sweet lychee complements the fragrant rose, sprinkled with a few flower petals for added visual and taste layers.

Luohanguo Longan Tea:
A health drink made from luohanguo and longan, with a natural sweetness that isn’t cloying. The transparent glass pot showcases an abundance of ingredients, enhancing its quality.

Overall, it is a must-visit dreamy restaurant for rabbit lovers in Taipei. The meal presentation is excellent, creatively designed around the rabbit theme, bringing a smile to one’s face. The dessert is good too, though I felt quite full from the main course today.

The store is spacious, with areas for guests who bring their own small pets to play. It’s pet-friendly overall, but if you have pets other than small rodents, please keep them on a leash for safety. Please check the official Facebook for the latest interaction times and restrictions, and it is advisable to make reservations in advance to ensure interaction slots.

To be honest, the meals are a bit pricey, but with these adorable rabbits around, I am more than willing to treat them to some snacks! 💖💖💖

The L Travel Secret Garden is located on Section 1 of Sichuan Road in Taitung, nestled among the fields and about a twenty-minute drive from Taitung Station. This place primarily features a café that combines animal interaction with light meals, offering an open environment filled with natural vibes.

Today, I enjoyed capybaras, guinea pigs, ragdoll cats, chickens, ducks, llamas, dumplings, brown rice green tea, and German herbal berry tea, totaling 500 NTD.

Capybara:
They stroll by the pond in the backyard, occasionally jumping into the water to swim. The bolder ducks interact with the capybaras. Their fur feels quite coarse, making for a very interesting experience. The little capybara is so adorable! 💖

Guinea Pig:
The cute guinea pigs are separated into two sides within a pen, and just watching them is so soothing. The notice on the fence specifically says, "Please do not swap the guinea pigs' positions arbitrarily." The left side has females, and the right side has males—mixing them up accidentally would be quite a situation! 💖💖💖

Ragdoll Cats:
The delicate ragdoll cats are not in the backyard but are leisurely stretching in a separate indoor area. Of course, please follow the café's guidelines before entering.

Chickens and Ducks:
They each leisurely roam around the grass. The little chicks and ducklings are incredibly cute and run fast, typically making them hard to catch, but just admiring them from afar is soothing enough.

Llamas:
How could we forget the friendly llamas? Though I actually forgot to take photos of them. They are located in a more remote independent enclosure.

Dumplings:
The portion size is moderate, with thin skin and plenty of filling; overall, it's fairly standard.

Brown Rice Green Tea:
The tea is smooth, with a faint aroma of brown rice, warm and pleasant on the palate.

German Herbal Berry Tea:
Rich in fruity layers, with a slightly sweet and sour taste that is very comfortable.

Overall, it’s a café that combines healing animals with light meals. The food is quite average, nothing noteworthy, and that isn't the main attraction for visitors. The 500 NTD price includes a combined entrance fee of 400 NTD for two (with 200 NTD redeemable against food).

The café is spacious, and besides the dining area and the ragdoll cat area, there are plenty of camera-friendly decorations. The backyard is beautifully arranged, with areas for the animals and photogenic spots like a staircase to paradise. It seems there are lodging services available, but since that isn't the focus of this visit, I’ll skip that part.

Even though Taitung is relatively remote, I think this is a worthwhile place to revisit, at least for a healing afternoon.

I highly recommend it to everyone!

Paws Cafe in New Taipei's Xinzhuang

This pet cafe has not been open for long. On the day of my visit, I met the resident cats—Bubbles, Oh Oh, and Lu Lu. All three are Ragdoll cats and extremely adorable! Their fur is beautifully white 🤍, and their eyes sparkle.

There’s a sleepy cat, a very lively E-cat, and another who guards the stairs waiting for a chance to escape.

The portions of the meals are quite large! Guys can easily finish them. The only downside is that the dining time is limited to 90 minutes. I miscalculated—while eating, I also wanted to pet the cats 😭. If you just plan to have afternoon tea, the schedule will be much more relaxed!

＞ The bacon is slightly warmed and has a soft texture, topped with a runny egg and drizzled with cheese sauce, combined with fresh lettuce. The avocado is spread on the muffin, and the bacon itself is quite flavorful, pairing well with the lettuce. This combo comes with two portions! It also includes fries, salad, and fresh fruit, making it super filling for girls (so I let my boyfriend handle it).

Pingtung Pet-Themed Restaurant - Violet Pet Leisure Cafe, originally located on Ziyou Road, recently moved to Gongyu Street. The new location has a very large area with a super large meadow for dogs to run. However, there are currently no facilities, and the dining area is inside a shipping container. Dining in has air conditioning, but there are very few seats, and it is relatively cramped. Another container also has seats, with many cats to accompany diners.

Garlic Chicken Soup Pot 💰290, when served, the surface of the soup had a layer of foam that somewhat affected the appetite (later I removed it myself). The soup base had a rich garlic aroma but was rather light in taste. There were 4-5 pieces of chicken leg meat, and the vegetable platter mainly consisted of mushrooms. It did not include hot pot ingredients and came with a bowl of white rice, which was sufficient in portion.

Creamy Bacon Pasta 💰270, tasted like sauce from a ready-to-eat meal, with a relatively mild flavor. There was a generous amount of bacon which was quite flavorful.

If I visit again, I might just order drinks and let the pets have a big space to run, which would already make them very happy.

A pet-friendly café located between XinZhuang #HappinessStation and #Touqianzhuang. Inside, there are three super white and cute cats and a very friendly Golden Retriever! You can even bring your own pets. The café offers a variety of pet meals and accessories to choose from.

[Environment]
The café is located on the ground floor of a newly built community building. The seating area is on the second floor, with a bright and modern environment, perfect for cats to play around. While dining, you can see cats roaming around and interact with them, which is very therapeutic.

There aren't many seating areas, but most have power outlets, so it's totally fine to sit for a long time and use a computer.

The only downside is that their ventilation seems to have issues. Even though the kitchen is on the first floor, after sitting on the second floor for an afternoon, you leave with a strong smell of oil and smoke on your clothes.

It's recommended that the café should address the ventilation issue seriously, as it might not be very healthy for the cats and dogs to be in that environment 24/7.

[Service]
I rate the service highly! The two staff members were very nice, and you can tell they genuinely like cats and dogs from their interactions. One of the staff even introduced the dog to me and reminded me to be careful of catching a cold as it got cooler when I left. Very considerate!

[Food]
Most meals are served on large plates. I ordered a black pepper handmade pork patty muffin comprehensive breakfast platter. It included lettuce, tomatoes, sliced apples, and small oranges, along with two very crispy sausages. Delicious! The fries were thick-cut and fried, delightful when hot, and not overly greasy when cold.

The muffin burger's texture was somewhat ordinary, but the ingredients inside were solid, especially the large hand-made pork patty, aromatic, fresh, and juicy. The meat juices spread in the mouth with every bite, with no porky smell at all.

Overall, the service and food are both good, and the furry friends in the store are super cute. The staff is very friendly, but the lingering oil and smoke smell on me... Originally, I would rate the dining experience 4-5 stars, but the longer the smell stayed on me, the lower my score, haha.

The first time I saw a meerkat in person was right here 💁🏼‍♀️.

Also, it's rare to find a pet-themed restaurant where I think the food is delicious. I’ve been to several before; even though the meals were cheap, they really weren't that tasty.

This place puts a lot of effort into the food 🍴, but if your main goal is to interact with pets, you might be a bit disappointed. There are only four cats, and they are a bit standoffish (the dining area is divided into two sections; we were sitting in the left area, and you have to go into the right area behind the railing to see the cats). The meerkats are all kept in a glass enclosure, so you can pretty much only take pictures and look at them up close!

I highly recommend upgrading to the set meal; the fries, cream soup, and bread have a nice quality, not like the kind you just pull out of a random cooking pack. The main courses are all quite good, and there are plenty of ingredients!

The cat cafe, "Time Cat," is located deep in Zhongliao Street, near the Cailiao MRT station. The sign features a logo with a French Bulldog and a cat, which is quite eye-catching and cute.

Today, I enjoyed dishes that included a Munchkin cat, a Ragdoll, and a French Bulldog, totaling around 1400 TWD (I think I went wrong somewhere).

Grilled fresh vegetables:
A simple oil-fried spaghetti, with a generous serving of mushrooms.

Creamy fresh vegetables:
Similarly, a standard spaghetti with a creamy flavor.

Tieguanyin tea:
A strong roasted flavor, with good quality tea leaves. Even without sugar, there is no noticeable astringency; it is quite delicious.

For a pet-themed restaurant, I think having this level of quality is not bad. However, I must complain about one thing: even for vegetarian pasta, the place surprisingly doesn't have Tabasco, which is a completely vegetarian condiment.

The cats and dogs are healthy, full of energy, and cute. To pet the cats, you need to see if you have a connection with them, while the dogs are much friendlier. However, French Bulldogs tend to have issues with their hind leg joints, so please be sure not to let them stand up to beg affection. All of this is noted on the entry guidelines.

Overall, it is a pet-friendly establishment with quite a decent standard. The food is average. The payment method is a bit unique, but I won't elaborate on it here.

Basically, the food here shouldn't be the focus (?) and the presentation is quite satisfactory. However, the aroma of the thick slices is really strong, and the sauce has a grainy texture, which is quite good. If you come here in the afternoon to watch the dogs, you can eat it. This little snack seems to be quite chilling~
As for the staple food, it seems to be instant buns that are heated and poured out. They are not unpalatable but just average and filling. I personally prefer braised beef brisket to buttered onion chicken.
