I've been here 3 or 4 times already. Although it’s a relatively new steakhouse in the area (opened in 2022), it was a holiday when I visited at 16:30, and it was completely full by around 17:30. Here’s what I ordered:
▪️Crispy Chicken Leg (Taiwan) $200

What I found special about this place at first was their corn cream soup with puff pastry! 😂 The soup is similar to what you would find at a night market steakhouse (not bad) but paired with the puff pastry makes it a big plus. I always order the chicken leg, which they pan-fry to be crispy (though the thick sauce can make it soggy). The chicken is quite large, with a good thickness, and I usually choose the combined flavor (black pepper + mushroom). The portion of the sizzling noodles is generous, along with one egg; if you don’t want the noodles, you can substitute it for an egg. The steak was ordered by my family, so I won’t comment as I eat it less frequently.
I also wanted to mention that their ice cream cones are delicious; it’s rare to find such tasty cookies. The flavors I encountered this time were passion fruit, strawberry, and cantaloupe (the cheaper kind, but still tasty). I previously had the sesame flavor, which was really good!
Overall, I really like this place. It’s a great spot to satisfy a sudden craving for chicken. The servers are mostly young people, always full of energy, and very friendly. They greet you when you leave, so the whole experience feels quite pleasant.
[Taoyuan Zhongli] Garden Steak
A restaurant that exclusively sells steak dishes, featuring the use of whole cuts of beef. The decor includes many plants and ambient light strings that create a lovely atmosphere. The indoor lighting is dim, giving off a hint of American rustic style.
The most expensive steak costs only $490, and there is no service charge. Every steak set comes with soup and bread (both can be refilled). You can take a drink from the fridge, and refills are just $20 per bottle. There are also salads and fries, with fries available for an additional $100.
It is said that the lamb shoulder steak is hard to come by, and I found myself not so lucky. I ordered two different parts of steak 🥩, and I particularly loved the recommended flap steak! The bread for the day was garlic toast, and even though I was already full, I couldn't resist! The thick toast was toasted to a slightly crispy state and smelled wonderful!
One downside is that the restroom is located outside; if it rains heavily, you would need an umbrella. Going out for the restroom in winter might be a bit cold... it's quite breezy.
✨ Personal Recommendation
◽ Flap Steak 14oz (PR) $490 (10oz $400)
> Only the flap steak is available in a large portion, and the doneness is managed by the restaurant, which is medium-rare with a bit of blood. The meat is thick, but since the knife wasn't very sharp, cutting it was slightly difficult, and it was a bit sinewy with not much aroma.
◽ Flank Steak 8oz (PR) ✨ $480
> I initially wanted to order the beef short ribs, but the restaurant advised against it and recommended this one instead. Thankfully, I listened to their suggestion! It was thin, easy to cut, had a good amount of marbling, and the doneness was medium-rare, which I could accept. Adding a bit of salt made it really delicious 😋 even more satisfying than the flap steak. 👍🏻

Starting from the growth journey of eating at X family’s steakhouse since childhood, the crowded dining environment can be quite welcoming. Especially when the steak is served, if you don't hold up a large napkin to block the iron plate and sauce, they might splatter out with a small explosion sound and enticing aroma. Whether it’s the mushroom, black pepper, or mixed sauce, they might accidentally land on the diners staring at them. The fully cooked meat is still quite tender and easy to chew, so diners who prefer no pink meat and have normal teeth can choose that without worrying about it being too tough. Additionally, the bread, drinks, soup, popcorn, and ice cream are all self-service, so you can eat a little bit here and there and still be full until your next meal.
The restaurant has a self-service area with bread, thick soup, drinks, and some lettuce to make salads. The overall experience is about the same as typical steak houses.
I ordered a medium-rare filet steak with mushroom sauce. The flavor of the sauce is what you would expect from a steak house at this price range, with no surprises. The portion of pasta is quite generous, so you can eat until you're full. Personally, I think the steak is quite good compared to similar places. It's not tough to chew, and there’s a nice beef aroma, so I would recommend it. It's a place I'd consider revisiting when I crave this type of steak.

Located near the bustling Hot River Street,
the peak hours are always packed with people.
Drinks, soups, and utensils are self-serve,
with a variety of options like red tea, lemonade, and mango passion fruit smoothie.
The soups available are corn chowder and beef borscht.
You can even add croutons to the corn chowder,
which is quite unique.
It tastes fairly standard, but the croutons add a nice touch.
For appetizers, there's cheese-stuffed grilled toast,
which is quite special
and also pretty delicious.
🥩 Crispy Roasted Chicken Leg
I found the meat not very tender,
and a bit sinewy.
The mixed sauce has a very fragrant flavor,
but unfortunately, this time they didn't give much sauce.
I couldn't really use any sauce on the noodles.
They offer a choice of less noodles and more vegetables, which is nice.
My friend ordered charcoal-grilled pork chops and sirloin steak.
The pork chop was a bit tough, which I didn’t really like.
The sirloin steak performed quite well,
with a strong beef flavor and no fake night market steak vibe.
Plus, it’s convenient since you don’t need to cut it. 👍🏻
Overall, it’s quite a good value for money,
but aside from the sirloin, I didn’t find anything too impressive.
I recommend friends who come here to choose the sirloin steak!
The restaurant called "小时候" (Childhood) opened in Taitung last year, 2023, and later I found out that it is actually a chain. Taitung has a very interesting phenomenon where new restaurants usually require a queue for the first couple of weeks after opening. Since there aren't many options, as long as a restaurant has some decent decor and does a bit of advertising, it can achieve this effect. However, whether the food is actually good and offers good value is the real test.
"小时候" steakhouse seems to have passed this test because it requires customers to line up during weekends. Its advantage is that although the prices are slightly higher, the quality of the meat is at a certain standard, and they handle the doneness of the steak very well. Additionally, the self-service bar offers popcorn, ice cream, corn chowder, and various drinks to enjoy. This makes for a fulfilling dining experience.
The dining space is spacious and comfortable, and there is also a self-service ordering machine next to the entrance. The overall staff is friendly, so I personally recommend visiting to give it a try.

The service attitude is really good. I remember the first time I came, I specifically asked about the food ingredients (because of my allergies), and the staff went to the kitchen to ask the chef for me. They even reminded me which foods at the buffet contain ingredients I can't eat, advising me to be careful when enjoying the buffet. The buffet ingredients are not just simple hearty dishes but are carefully prepared by the restaurant, including side dishes, risotto, pasta, soups, and bread. The menu is also changed regularly.
Chain Famous Steak Western Restaurant - Cairns Rock Grilled Steak Kaohsiung Arena Branch is celebrating an important day with my wife by visiting Cairns for the second time. Their beef is whole, super fresh, and delicious. They use Australian fire-heated rocks heated to 400 degrees and deliver them to the table, adding an extra layer of enjoyment during the dining process by allowing you to control the doneness of the meat itself. It's a very special western restaurant.
Sea and Land Couple Set 💰2480, includes three kinds of beef, Matsusaka pork, and corn chicken, three kinds of seafood, and also includes appetizer vinegar, salad, main course, side dishes, bread, soup, drinks, and dessert. It's truly super value. The beef is grilled to a crisp exterior that locks in the juices, then cut into small pieces to grill to your preferred doneness. The meat is so fresh that it tastes great regardless of how you grill it. The staff will also demonstrate and assist with the grilling process, which is very considerate.
The store has already started decorating for Halloween, creating a full immersive atmosphere. It's a great place for dining dates and enjoying time together.
There is now a promotion where if four people go with a birthday star, one can dine for free, which is very cost-effective!

The restaurant's environment is very bright. The seating arrangement is somewhat dense, but most seats are quite comfortable. The open kitchen allows you to see the cooking process, but be careful not to interfere with the serving path (very dangerous ⚠️).

The 12 oz steak is really large, almost bigger than a woman's face. The portion is just right for men, and you can add noodles if you have a big appetite. You can adjust the doneness of the steak. While it has some gristle, the meat is very tender and flavorful.

The pork chop seems to be made from loin, and it is very tender. The steak is also very tender, but compared to the 12 oz, the texture is a bit firmer.

This time I visited a high-end steakhouse that has received Michelin stars for several years!
I think everyone should know some of the famous high-end steakhouses in Taipei.
The Godfather Steakhouse is definitely one of them.
In the past, when I mentioned that I went to eat at Godfather Steakhouse,
Others would look at me with envious eyes!
But this is my first time eating here! 😂😂😂
Although it accidentally slipped off the Michelin list this year,
With so many years of Michelin experience,
It should still be pretty good, right?
So, I decided to visit and try it out!
However, the location is quite far.
After all, it's in Dazhi~~~
It does take some time to go there specifically for a meal.
The overall appearance and interior are very atmospheric,
Especially at night, it looks quite romantic.
However, I do think it's a bit of a pity.
Although Godfather Steakhouse specializes in steaks,
I feel that the overall steak experience isn't exceptionally outstanding.
While the handling of the steak is quite good,
And the appearance of the dishes is very high-end,
I think for this price,
You could have better quality steaks that provide a more satisfying experience.
But it seems a bit harder to find that in Taiwan.
Maybe it's because I've had more affordable yet delicious steaks in the U.S. 😂😂😂
Overall, I feel the dining atmosphere here is quite good,
Very romantic, you could say the lighting is nice,
It's still quite suitable for celebrating important holidays or anniversaries.
After all, sometimes a brand name represents

This is a smaller portion of Hokkaido scallops.
Overall, there's nothing particularly outstanding or impressive about it.
👉 Shark Fin and Abalone Soup
The special part is that it first serves the toppings for the soup,
Then the soup itself is poured in.
The abalone and shark fin soup is quite refreshing and light,
Which is a nice part.
👉 American Prime Ribeye Steak
I personally prefer my steak medium-rare.
As for the doneness, I think it's handled just right,
And quite suitable for the quality of the meat.
Not too cooked or too raw.
But for me, it tasted like a standard steak,
Nothing particularly memorable or stunning about it~~~
So I think for one of the top few well-known high-end steakhouses in Taiwan,
This is a bit disappointing.
After all, food needs to be taken seriously,
Maybe I just didn’t taste anything particularly unique. 🥹🥹🥹🥹
👉 Dessert
I chose the cheesecake for dessert.
I actually think the dessert fared quite well among today's overall dishes.
While not extremely delicious,
I feel the dessert's performance is quite excellent.
Additionally, besides the cake, there were also cute little cookies.
Not only are they charmingly shaped,
But they taste quite good too!
I don’t mean to say that Godfather Steakhouse's steak is bad;
It has definitely surpassed many outside steaks.
But our expectations are higher!
After all, it was once a Michelin restaurant,

However, the seating arrangements and the distance between the tables surprised me.
In the general dining area outside,
The tables are quite close to each other,
Which in the dining experience,
Makes one feel very close to the neighboring diners.
You can easily be influenced by nearby conversations.
So, I think they could increase the space a bit,
It would be much more comfortable.

The service at this steakhouse is quite good.

I think if one lowers their standards,

I thought coming to such a famous steakhouse like Godfather,

It’s almost like I just visited a regular steakhouse,
