Conclusion:
You can give it a try, but I wouldn't rush for it
Because coming from Philinter language school, you need at least 350 ₽ for transport
In terms of taste with desserts
As for the meals
In the Philippines, you can find them everywhere, but there aren't many memorable places
I would prefer to spend my money elsewhere
However, this restaurant also has a bar, so it could be a nice place for good drinks

Introduction:
pork sising
is a famous Filipino dish made with sizzling pork.
It uses chopped pork and is topped with an egg, which you can squeeze some calamansi on and mix before eating.
It's very flavorful and rich in fat, making it great with rice.
seafood pasta (forgot to take a photo)
The pasta I had in the Philippines is completely different from the taste I know in Taiwan
It's bold in flavor, with a lot of sauce
But the noodles are a bit like oil noodles, possibly not the type of noodles commonly found in Taiwan
Because there is a lot of sauce, but the noodles do not absorb it in that way
Personally, I wouldn't get used to it.
Ankake katsu-Don
Pork cutlet rice bowl
The fried pork cutlet is quite decent, similar to those in Taiwan.
Toco-rice (Tacos Rice Bowl)
A dish from Okinawa, as per my Japanese friend
My Korean friend and I both think it’s delicious
The crispy bits on top mix well with the TOCO texture
Each bite has a nice crunch
It's a bit spicy, with a refreshing overall taste.
san miguel pilsen ABV: 5%
A Filipino beer that is on the lighter side
Compared to Taiwan Beer
It lacks maltiness, making it suitable for beginners.
mixed avalanche pancake
Very impressive presentation, the soufflé is delicious
It's on the pricier side.
For water, you need to pay separately
Since it’s a semi-open space, it can be quite warm.
This restaurant is different from a typical izakaya; it is more like a sake dining bistro, focusing on exquisite cuisine and a diverse selection of sake. The quality of the dishes is high, with great attention to detail in each plate, the flavors are refined but the prices are reasonable, offering good value for money. The restaurant has a rich variety of sake, and the owner is cheerful and talkative, with a strong expertise in sake. They will recommend suitable sake based on the guest's preferences, enhancing the overall dining experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, making it ideal for gathering with friends or for enjoying a quiet drink alone. Overall, this place feels delightful and is definitely worth revisiting.
Located in a small alley by the Kaohsiung Arena, my sister initially came to Kaohsiung and found this place incredibly delicious, as agreed upon by her friends. She told me that I absolutely have to come when I visit Kaohsiung!
It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the Kaohsiung Arena. When I arrived around 7:30 PM on a Sunday, there was no need to queue. The restaurant isn't large, with about ten seats, and has a stylish industrial decor.
Although the restaurant's reservation policy is bar-style, there aren't many drink options on the menu. Most people come for the main dishes, so it feels more like a Japanese donburi and udon restaurant.
The grilled scallop salmon don is priced at $430. It’s beautifully presented ❤️, featuring three large scallops and six slices of salmon belly. Overall, it’s not overly seasoned, focusing on the flavor of the ingredients and the aroma of the grilling. The rice is just regular white rice, with spices sprinkled on top of the egg.
The moon-viewing beef don (gyudon) costs $400. There’s a generous amount of meat and three pieces of zucchini. The meat is tender and delicious 👍.
Ordering a donburi or udon comes with a truffle chawanmushi (savory steamed egg) and a soup. The chawanmushi is topped with salmon roe. I’m not a fan of the truffle flavor in some dishes, but I really liked this one (٩۹(๑•̀ω•́ ๑)۶). The chawanmushi is very smooth and probably has additional broth or seasoning, leading to a rich flavor. It stands out as an astonishing dish!
The soup served is a chicken soup with peeled chili, containing a piece of chicken. The soup is lightly spicy, perfect for drinking in cold weather, and it’s delicious.
For me, the deliciousness of the side dishes exceeds that of the main course; I would come just for the sides (✪ω✪). (But the main dishes are also really good, with generous portions that should satisfy most people. The meal is worth the price.)
I came to eat here after reading Fooday's review, and it's really delicious, highly recommended!
There aren't many seats, and we sat at the bar. They only serve Yebisu beer, which is a matter of personal preference. They also offer cocktails and red and white wines.
The dishes are all very tasty, but they tend to be on the heavier side. I only recommend it to those who enjoy strong flavors. Even though the kitchen is small, the food they make is really quite good.
Many Californians seem to know about this restaurant. This restaurant also has branches in other locations, but I've heard they manage it very well, and each branch is always packed! You can generally imagine that they do control quality effectively!
We made a reservation early, and when we arrived at the entrance, the staff welcomed us very warmly and seated us! After scanning the QR code to view the menu, we could directly place our orders with the staff… and then enjoy watching the chef who specializes in serving you prepare your meal right in front of you! Today we ordered…
❤️set menu - 5 sets
It feels like this is one of the items that everyone who comes to the restaurant would choose because it includes five different flavors! When each sushi roll came out, the professional chef would explain each flavor, reminding you to eat it quickly within 30 seconds to prevent the seaweed from becoming chewy! It was a bit warm 🔥, and paired with their specially blended sauce, it was indeed very delicious! Plus, while I thought five small rolls wouldn’t be enough, it turns out they were very filling!
❤️uni sea urchin
Personally, I really enjoy the taste of sea urchin, so every time I see something related to sea urchin in various types of restaurants, I have to try it! My friend chose the one with added truffle 🍄 flavor, but I found the sea urchin to be even better. The taste of the sea urchin was very fresh! It had a rich aroma and the unique sweetness of sea urchin! All in all, it certainly had a delightful flavor!
Overall, I highly recommend everyone to come and try this restaurant. It seems that anyone who has lived in California for a while will recognize this restaurant's existence!
Fujiya is a warm and charming family-style Japanese izakaya, and it has always been one of my favorite spots in the Zhongshan District. The place has two floors, and the seating is a bit close together, decorated with numerous posters of the Japanese enka singer Shinichi Mori (there are really an incredible number of them), and it plays Japanese songs, giving it a unique atmosphere.
This visit was after 10 PM, and we enjoyed a quite satisfying late-night meal here.
I ordered cold udon noodles paired with a gyoza set; the udon noodles had a good chewiness, with a moderate bounce. After mixing in soy sauce with wasabi and chopped green onions, they were very refreshing, perfect for hot days. The gyoza was not overly greasy, and the small, beautifully fried dumplings dipped in Japanese soy sauce had a simple yet delicious flavor.
My friend ordered the fried pork cutlet set, which had a crispy exterior. It wasn't the kind of frying you would find in chain restaurants; it was already drizzled with tonkatsu sauce. Overall, it was tasty but not ostentatious.
The specialty ramen had a meat sauce base for the broth, along with wontons, which is an extremely Chinese/Taiwanese combination. My friend said it tasted pretty good, but ordering this at a Japanese izakaya felt quite rebellious.
Additionally, I ordered some blanched greens and was pleasantly surprised to receive my favorite, water spinach. It was a bit salty but incredibly delicious; I was really happy to be able to eat water spinach during late-night hours.
Not every dish here is breathtaking at this izakaya, but it's precisely this ordinary experience that makes it feel like a place to visit often. Overall, it's a healing little shop worth checking out.
#Penghu #YuanYuanFoodDiary
This is my second time dining here, and I've noticed that the menu has expanded quite a bit.
There are many tourists in the restaurant,
but little do they know, all the seafood here
is actually imported or from the main island 🥹🥹
I arrived for lunch around 1:00 PM.
The other customers’ meals came out fairly quickly,
but since everything is made to order, we had to wait a long time...
The last dish, stir-fried seasonal vegetables, arrived at 1:48 PM...
We had already finished the other dishes by then 😭😭
#Seafood Stir-fried Udon
The taste is quite different from what I had when I took it to go before.
This time, the flavor is on the lighter side, lacking the wok taste.
The udon noodles were overcooked, lacking the chewy texture.
The shrimp is obviously frozen, which was disappointing.
#Chawanmushi (Savory Egg Custard)
Aside from the sweet flavor of the white shrimp on top,
the other ingredients include a small piece of fish cake
and a large clam with not much substance, feeling a bit empty.
#Grilled Mushrooms
Two tiny mushrooms with no sauce, overall rather dry.
I found this quite surprising and disappointing 😢
#Fried Durian
The overall flavor and seasoning are perfectly done.
One piece cut in half costs 80 NT$, which is a bit pricey.
#Stir-fried Seasonal Vegetables
Baby cabbage stir-fried with shredded ginger.
Overall, the flavor is quite good, and considering the price and portion, it's a great value.
The overall dining experience and taste are pretty similar to my first visit~
It's not a place I would visit often, but with the variety of dishes and options,
I could still come here occasionally to satisfy my cravings!
As for those wanting to eat Japanese skewers,
I recommend “Yaki-Bu-Tei,” which is not far away.
The quality of the dishes is much better than that of the Iwate Japanese-style skewers shop.
▶Coca Onion Curry Rice $260◀
Their curry is more like a spice curry, well-seasoned! The chicken feels like sous-vide chicken, very tender! It's a joy to have curry rice at a bistro~~
▶Red Wine Marinated Tender Shoulder Steak $420◀
The pan-seared steak is incredibly tender; it’s not fully cooked but doesn’t feel too raw. It has minimal seasoning, allowing the natural aroma of the beef to shine through. What's special is that it comes with a side of raw egg, and dipping the beef in the raw egg actually enhances the tenderness! There are also some fresh greens on the side, served with sesame sauce.
▶Japanese Soy Sauce Seared Duck Breast $420◀
The duck breast is prepared very well, tender and juicy, without being overcooked. It comes with mustard seed sauce and pickled beans on the side, which elevate the flavor!
▶Finger-Licking Chicken Wings $250◀
What impressed me the most was this dish of chicken wings, which comes with six pieces, each coated with a generous amount of spicy cheese powder. The cheese powder on the outside resembles that of potato chips! It's flavorful but not overly spicy, making it a perfect bar snack~
▶Green Memories $400◀
This cocktail is based on gin and has a sweet flavor. It’s topped with hibiscus mousse, which gives it a tangy sweetness that's very special! The mousse is light in texture, akin to milk foam! You can taste the alcohol, but it's not overwhelming; I highly recommend it for women!
▶CI130-CTS Snow $400◀
This drink has a much stronger alcohol presence, made with peanut rum as the base. It has the aroma of peanut ice cream, topped with whipped egg whites, and the alcohol below is mixed with raw egg, creating a very unique combination!
It rained heavily, and I originally wanted to eat ramen, but ended up trapped in a building. It turned out that it was a complex commercial office similar to a food street, with many small shops hidden in it. Among them, I saw the name of this store, which greatly aroused my interest. Because he has the cuisine of Hokkaido, the northernmost part of Japan, and Ryukyu, the southernmost part of Japan.
As soon as he sat down, he ordered a draft beer without saying a word. After Ass said, he started eating his barbecue skewers, as well as various local specialties from the north and south, including bitter melon and grilled fish. The taste is excellent. It is recommended to eat with friends and chat while eating snacks.
Their work uniforms were hanging next to the dining space, with patterns of Hokkaido and Ryukyu mascots on them. I jokingly asked the boss if they sold them, but unfortunately they were just decorations.
A treasured store, I don’t want to say too much for fear that it will be difficult to make a reservation in the future😂
I will definitely visit again because the food and atmosphere are really charming!
The hamburger steak is so strong, it’s all beef! The meat is juicy! !
The male boss is Japanese, KK said his initials
The female boss is his mother. They opened a shop together during the epidemic.
The entire strip is filled with bar seats, so I hope I can take care of every customer.
It seems that except for us, who are here for the first time, everyone else is a regular customer.
The boss was very kind and came to chat with us.
Also very good at recommending menus!
One person actually ordered four glasses of wine that day.
Two people shared an appetizer, a fried food, two main dishes, and a dessert (it was too toasty when the meal was served, so I asked if I could order it. It happened to be the last hidden version of the chocolate lava cake🥹)
The boss said he would wait until we had finished eating everything on the menu before giving us the hidden version of the dish.
I'm looking forward to it...because the next door neighbor was eating tomato scrambled eggs and we couldn't find it on the menu. It looks super strong...
