April the Mid-Autumn Festival BBQ month, I brought my boyfriend to eat barbecue. We arrived twenty minutes early, and my boyfriend asked the shop owner if we could wait inside until opening – a friendly shop owner +1.
Once we went in and sat down, the owner brought us the menu to choose from, without any fuss. We went for the 899 option and ordered by scanning the QR code. After scanning twice, the table was completely full. The Angus 16oz came up and was juicy after grilling, which made my boyfriend very satisfied. Fortunately, the shop gave us a table meant for four people, which was very spacious. Both my boyfriend and I could sit comfortably on the sofa – another plus! The air conditioning wasn't too strong, so my boyfriend's military haircut was safe, avoiding any headaches – another plus!
The self-serve ice cream bar had vanilla and strawberry, which is awesome as it caters to popular tastes. This is a place I will definitely visit again. I really liked it! 😘

I haven't been to an all-you-can-eat in a long time, and I really feel underpowered 😤. On weekday nights, dining isn't too crowded. I like steak and wagyu, and you can pay extra to have the highest-priced options. For $1299, you can enjoy unlimited alcoholic beverages, which is great for those who love to drink.
I find the boneless short ribs and marbled beef quite delicious. My personal favorite is the scallion salt beef tongue and Iberico pork ribs! The pork here is surprisingly amazing and very fragrant. The sashimi-grade scallops that I had cooked to medium were just right and very sweet and tender 💕. The yam here is also really tasty, and it's a refreshing complement to the meats 🥺.
As for seafood, I personally highly recommend the shrimp. If you like shrimp, you should order a round of it since you'll want to save some appetite for other dishes 😆. Besides the barbecue, the menu is quite rich with options. There are fried items, salads, and a variety of vegetable sides to choose from. I think the salt-grilled rice balls are really good! Next time, I think I’ll try the tea-infused rice!

I personally think their fried squid is quite good; it's chewy, has no fishy taste, and has a great texture from being fried.
For the fried items, I highly recommend their chicken hearts and green peppers.
The chicken hearts are not too dry and still retain some juiciness, while the green peppers are crunchy and really delicious, perfectly pairing with the drink (๑•̀ᄇ•́)و ✧
As for his tofu skin, I think it's just okay; it's a bit dry and crispy, which is better paired with something to drink.

The interaction between the staff and customers isn’t much; it’s just basic checkout and whether you want it spicy or not.
The division of labor inside is clear, with each person responsible for checkout, preparation of ingredients, and cooking, so the speed isn’t too slow.

For a barbecue place located on the roadside, I find it quite clean. They do not offer dine-in service, so all food has to be taken away. You can barely park some motorcycles or cars, but I wouldn’t recommend long-term parking.
"Dai Ji Roast Duck" in Annan District, Tainan, is a well-known roast duck restaurant located on Anhe Road, Section 4. It can be quite difficult to dine there, as there are often issues with making phone reservations. Sometimes the staff are so busy that they might not even pick up the phone (personal experience 😆).
Let's talk about the sliced duck first. The crispy duck skin paired with tender, juicy duck meat, combined with onions and sweet bean sauce wrapped in a thin pancake, creates a delicious bite that's crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with rich layers of flavor. The crispiness of the duck skin complements the soft, chewy pancake perfectly, leaving you wanting more. It's worth mentioning that their sweet bean sauce enhances the dish without overpowering it, perfectly highlighting the duck's deliciousness.
On the other hand, the crispy duck is another highlight. The duck is deep-fried, resulting in a crispy outer layer that is not greasy; although it's slightly dry, it's incredibly crunchy, especially with the aromatic garlic flavor, making it hard to resist. This dish is an excellent choice whether eaten alone or paired with drinks.
However, compared to the outstanding performances of the sliced duck and crispy duck, the stir-fried duck seems a bit ordinary, so I usually don't order it; I typically enjoy two ways of duck. If it's your first time at Dai Ji, I recommend starting with the sliced duck and crispy duck.
Overall, Dai Ji Roast Duck is the top choice for roast duck enthusiasts in Annan District, but remember to make an early reservation, especially during holidays, to avoid missing out on this delicious treat!

Also, you can make reservations online in advance, which is convenient. It’s a great place to unwind with friends after work over food and drinks!!!

This time we visited a roadside charcoal-grilled meat restaurant located in the alleys of Zhongxiao Xinsheng.
The number of tables is limited, so every time I pass by, I see several groups eating by the roadside.

On that day, I came with three other friends to give it a shot.

Overall, the dry-aged ribeye was indeed good.

That's pretty much the composition of this main course.
The dry-aged ribeye itself was alright, and with the sauce, it was tasty. 👌
But unfortunately, while fragrant, the flavor didn't particularly leave a lasting impression.
And perhaps because the portions were initially set to be small, I felt a bit unsatisfied after finishing.
6oz is certainly on the smaller side for a guy.
As for the other roasted vegetables, they were somewhat negligible to me.
After all, I was focusing on the meat.
So overall, I felt a bit empty after the meal.

Additionally, regarding the atmosphere,
it tends to be humid and hot while sitting outdoors in Taiwan in summer.
So even if you come at night in summer, you might still be sweating profusely.
Taipei's winter often sees rain, so sitting by the roadside could also be somewhat unfortunate.
Thus, the atmosphere isn't that great.
Plus, with the roadside lane right next to it, there’s a sense of conflict.
But perhaps this is the unique characteristic of this place!

There’s a line, but it won’t be too long.
It used to be located next to the Mazu Temple.
You can park on the side of the big road nearby.
They only sell one type of charcoal-grilled sausage for $35.
It’s very fragrant and has a nice smoky aroma, the skin is crispy.
The grilled color looks very appetizing and biting into it releases meat juices.
The fat-to-lean ratio is just right; you can taste the fat but it’s not disgusting.
They also serve garlic on the side, which enhances the flavor even more. There’s chili sauce for dipping, but I forgot to dip it in the chili sauce.

The location of the store is just opposite Shajing Tianhong in Baoan District, Shenzhen. There are many restaurants nearby, so it should be quite easy to find.
The space inside the store is bright and the environment looks quite clean. The tableware is all wrapped to ensure a certain level of cleanliness.
Although it is Northeastern barbecue, it also uses the popular Zibo barbecue, which uses pancakes to roll meat with onions.
There are quite a lot of types of kebabs. In addition to the mainstream beef, pork, and mutton belly, there are also grilled sausages, grilled bean skins, etc. The taste is quite good, and the grilled oil is full of aroma. There are also some seafood products, like the grilled squid we ordered, which tasted pretty good.
