It’s hard to eat South American food in Taiwan.
This time I saw a cheap and well-reviewed Jamaican restaurant and wanted to try it.
This time I ordered the signature jerk chicken rice
A bit like the concept of chicken leg rice
But the special thing is his sauce
It feels a bit like sweet chili sauce, but also has a bit of spiciness.
As a result, although it is spicy, it tastes very delicious.
Rice part: There are soy products with soybeans in it
The meal will not feel monotonous and the overall taste will be very colorful.
Although I still prefer white rice.
In addition, this store also sells oxtail rice. I want to try it next time!
Conclusion: I think it’s highly recommended and worth it if you want to try exotic cuisine.
I accidentally discovered this restaurant while walking around Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam today.
I saw the photos outside and thought it was great. I wanted to go in right away.
Unexpectedly, it was not time to open the door, so I missed it.
But the photo of the entrance looked really great, so I decided to wait nearby.
When the door opened, as soon as I arrived upstairs, I felt that the whole atmosphere was great!
The restaurant has an open kitchen...
You can see what the chefs and bartenders are doing!
The waiters are also very enthusiastic, smiling and speak very good English!
Originally we just wanted to order a glass of wine during happy hour🍸and a small meal to go with the wine~
In the end, I just had dinner because the food was so delicious.
Let’s talk about what we ordered today~~
❤️Ceviche roja
Although I felt that I should eat local food to be more delicious in Vietnam, I didn’t expect that when I just came back from Central and South America, I ordered the most classic dish when I entered this restaurant. When the dish was served, it was full of visual effects. Not only does it look good, they also provide matching crisps to enhance the taste of the food itself, making it even more delicious! They really brought out the essence of this dish from Central and South America. The raw fish is very fresh and the sweet and sour part of the salsa is also well controlled! Everything else is chopped very finely so that every combination of vegetables and raw fish can be perfectly blended! I personally highly recommend this one!
❤️Crab chicharron
This dish is also a very famous dish ~ soft shell crab! The meal was served at just the right temperature - some salmon roe was added on top to enhance the flavor! There is an incredible use of avocado 🥑 sauce underneath the soft shell crab. The avocado sauce paired with the soft shell crab is really delicious! They also provide a red chili sauce that enhances the original flavor of the soft shell crab when paired with it! Laddu adds to the excitement! I also highly recommend this one!
❤️Crispy baby octopus 🐙
Since they didn't have baby octopus today, they used tuna instead! In the middle, raw egg yolk is used to enhance the flavor ~ and then chili puree made from Mexican chili peppers is provided. You can adjust the spiciness according to your own preferences and add it in... The umami and fusion of the whole meal are perfect ~ perfect for pairing with wine or It’s delicious even if you eat it alone! You can feel the sweetness of seafood and the delicate fusion of vegetables in every bite~
We also ordered two glasses of Argentinian red wine, which is perfect for dining and wine tasting here!
I personally highly recommend this restaurant and hope everyone will give it a try if you have the opportunity!
Last time I shared this famous dish eaten by locals in Chile!
It’s like if you haven’t eaten it, you haven’t been to Chile.
This time I also went to a similar local snack bar...
It's not far from the last place...
But I ate the more delicious Gazuela
❤️Gazuela
Like I said last time... they use a lot of different vegetables to cook them! The natural sweetness of the vegetables is completely cooked...and then some beans and rice are added...and finally served with chicken drumsticks that are cooked until tender! Then sprinkle with coriander before serving~
Although it sounds simple, it is very smooth, delicious and healthy!
It not only warms the body, but also fills the stomach. It is good protein plus high-quality starch~
Highly recommended for those who are concerned about their weight, those who like to try new things, or even those who want to maintain their health!
This is a small shop in a market where locals go
There are only about 10 seats in a small room.
Their menu is inside a transparent display at the door...
There are styles of each dish in it
They don’t sell many varieties, but they are the most unique local Chilean dishes.
I just ordered one dish today. Chilean people say that if you haven’t tried it, you haven’t been to Chile.
❤️Cazuela
This soup is a very nutritious dish that can be served as a meal! It contains carrots, potatoes, pumpkins, corn, onions and chicken legs! Equally full of protein and healthy carbohydrates! There will also be a little bit of rice...it tastes a bit like soup rice, but because the sweetness of the vegetables is completely integrated into the soup ~ I love it!
If you come to Chile, I highly recommend this local Chilean dish to everyone!
❤️Noodle soup
The soup of this noodle also has a special taste. If you have ever tried Indian food, I think it tastes very similar to some Indian sauces! It looks red but not spicy at all. It has a rather special aroma! But I’m not used to eating noodles. Our Taiwanese noodles are much more delicious!
This is a small restaurant that only locals go to...it may not be easy to find for tourists! But if you can take a car to the nearby area, you can really try the local taste!
As soon as I arrived, I searched for this local restaurant.
It looks quite tasty from the outside~
After entering, I thought it must be a good restaurant...
The staff in the store don’t speak English very well and almost have to communicate in Spanish.
But I can still order food smoothly...
We ordered a comprehensive teppanyaki grill
Their meat includes beef and chicken...In fact, many people in Cusco, Peru will eat alpaca🦙meat or squirrel🐿️meat...
But I found a better restaurant for alpaca meat...
So don’t try it here!
But luckily I didn’t order too many dishes from this restaurant…
Because this Peruvian food is not authentic...
The food produced is very lackluster...
The texture of the meat is also excellent because it has been placed on the iron plate!
It affected the taste very much. We basically didn’t finish the food at all.
The small snacks given are sweet potato crisps or potatoes🥔not too salty and taste pretty good!
Overall, I won't go out of my way to come here again. I don't think there is a better reason for me to eat again!
This restaurant is located in a very large department store in Chile!
There are a lot of customers coming and going. The restaurant has an obvious feature, which is the ship-shaped seats!
The waiters in Central and South America are still enthusiastic
The explanation of the meals is also very good.
What’s even better is that the people here speak English very well!
I finally had great Chilean food today~~
❤️grill octopus~
I highly recommend this dish to anyone who likes octopus! The seafood here is great...not the kind that I can't chew! It's an octopus that's so tender and you can taste the sweetness! The onions on the outside and the slightly sour taste are awesome! But the potatoes below were a bit soft and rotten due to the soup... which is a bit of a pity! But I personally still like it very much ~ I recommend everyone to give it a try!
❤️mango sour
Everyone who comes to Central and South America must try the classic pisco sour.. But if you want to try too many and want to change the taste, you can try the mango flavor! Personally, I think it's a little less bitter... and has a little more mango sweetness! Very suitable for girls who don’t know how to drink~
My friend also ordered fried fish steak…
The flavor is great and the meat is very solid. I like it very much~
It’s really easy to get enough protein!
The point is, it’s so delicious~
I recommend everyone to come to this restaurant to enjoy Chilean cuisine~
Experience the deliciousness of local seafood!
In this hot water town, it is also a restaurant that does not speak English.
But simple Spanish can successfully communicate
There are many kinds of dishes, probably to cater to tourists from all over the world.
In the end, I chose their specialties.
It's a pity that he didn't ask me about the softness of the meat like other restaurants.
That means they won’t ask me if I want it medium or well-done.
I was a little dumbfounded when I took the first bite.
The taste is very strong. It's not that it's smelly, but it's really salty.
Serve rice and potatoes in the same meal
Maybe it’s so the boys can eat enough
Indeed, the overall portion is very sufficient
But it's not very delicious
Juice is pure fresh juice
Told them no ice so got a glass of plain juice
This glass of juice satisfies my fatigue all day long
Generally speaking, I don’t recommend going to this restaurant.
But maybe it’s okay to take a juice break!
This is a very authentic local specialties restaurant~
The service is very good, with a smile, understanding the customer's needs and providing professional advice!
Now that I’m here, I want to try alpaca meat, which many people are afraid of!
Because I heard that it actually has a fishy smell, it’s hard to accept!
This dish is called
❤️lomo de alpaca oporto
They mainly use their own yellow mustard sauce. It tastes very similar to the seeded mustard sauce that is added to Beef Wellington! Then there are two very tender alpaca steaks~ I personally think this restaurant handled it very well! Even less smelly than sheep! Paired with a little sesame leaves~it feels very smooth!
Later the clerk also offered muña tea! This is a local tea that can relieve altitude sickness! It can be said that it is very attentive~
Later, a small chocolate cake was also provided to remove the taste in the mouth and bring a little sweetness! Very satisfied with their efforts...and very satisfied with the food! If I have the chance, I will come back to try other meals!
Perhaps because of the location, many people dine here during meal time.
And the waiters and chefs are actually very polite...
I originally ordered a bowl of seafood soup...
After taking a bite, I told the clerk that it was too salty and difficult to eat.
The chef immediately came out and took it away and processed it again.
But the soup that came back was still very salty...
It's the kind of situation where your mouth is full of tears after eating...
And even though they just threw a crab in it...
But it’s too difficult to handle. It’s a pity that I can’t eat the whole crab meat!
The shoes and fish are not very fresh and even a bit old...
Basically, I don’t want to try too many other meals..
If you don’t have local friends or haven’t lived in Peru for a while
It's hard to know this restaurant exists
But as long as you are lucky enough to make an appointment... you will really have endless aftertaste!
When I arrived at the door at 12 o'clock when it opened, I saw many customers waiting for a table without reservations...
Fortunately, I paid the deposit online to reserve a table a week ago.
As soon as I arrived at the scene today, I was received upstairs smoothly.
The entire restaurant is divided into first-floor seating, second-floor seating and outdoor areas!
When I made the reservation, I only had the seats upstairs to choose from...but it was still very atmospheric!
And the service staff is very friendly and will ask if you want an English menu or a Spanish menu!
Now that I'm in Central and South America... I want to recommend two dishes that you must try... because they are really delicious!
first course
❤️ ceviche
This dish is included in most Central and South American cuisine! The Isolina restaurant I recommend is very clean and delicious. They deep-fried the octopus to maintain its original tenderness and sweetness. They paired it with pickled fish. The fish is raw but completely There will be no nausea. Some people who are afraid to eat sashimi are probably afraid of the taste. I personally think that if the ceviche is well made, it can get rid of that taste... and it will also be served with some local corn and onions! The last important thing is the sauce. The sauce is made with lemon as the base and comes with a small dish of local special chili sauce! The freshness and sweetness of the seafood are brought out completely by the lemon, and a little bit of spiciness is added ~ it is really delicious!
I also recommend a must-drink in Central and South America…
❤️pisco sour
This is a common cocktail in Central and South America! As the name suggests, the wine is a simple combination of pisco brandy and chavod, with some slight sweetness from other fruit juices. People who don’t usually drink can drink it separately, otherwise it will have a little stamina!
The last one is my personal favorite~
❤️anticuchos de lengua
This is a beef tongue grilled like a kebab! When I took my first bite, I actually thought it was a bit strong. But the roasted potatoes on the side can balance out the taste! The grilled beef tongue is tender and tender ~ a must order for those who like to eat at barbecue restaurants!
