Reviewer with Braces: Not Particularly Friendly Sink 😂
This restaurant located in the Zhuanwei Military Village has an unassuming appearance but surprises with its dishes. The chef puts great care into each dish, and the staff is very enthusiastic and talkative. The only downside is that the restroom facilities are somewhat rudimentary.
The restaurant updates its menu every season, combining local specialties from Yilan with seafood, and each dish is quite exquisite. The set menu is priced at 1,380 NTD, plus a 10% service charge.
Here are the dishes from this meal:
Overall, the restaurant is suitable for those who enjoy trying new things, but I personally would not return.

Dickson's Fooday Review #245
This time, I'm going to introduce a more upscale French cuisine.
For those who are unsure what to eat for a special holiday or anniversary,
come take a look for some inspiration!
This restaurant's name, "Empty Plate," is pronounced in French,
while the term "empty plate" is derived from the Taiwanese pronunciation of the French words.
It's not really an empty plate!
Although this place offers very exquisite French cuisine,
the prices are more affordable compared to other high-end restaurants!
On that day, we ordered a set menu with 8 dishes,
but there was no pairing included.
This set is only $2780!
Compared to many other high-end fine dining restaurants that can easily cost $6000-$8000,
this is quite a good deal!
Moreover, even though the prices at this restaurant are not particularly high,
I found the overall experience to be very good.
The presentation and flavors of each dish were quite impressive.
Each dish was presented elegantly.
Though they all looked small,
they were quite filling when eaten,
and it was evident that the chef put a lot of effort into making them.
So, dining here was truly a delightful surprise!
In addition, the atmosphere here is also quite nice.
From the entrance to the interior, it exudes elegance and quality,
perfectly in line with the presentation of high-end dining.
The staff was also very professional,
providing clear and thorough introductions to each dish as it was served,
informing us how to enjoy each dish and its contents.
This experience is essential for high-end dining!
Compared to other hard-to-book establishments,
this one is much easier to reserve a table at,
and it offers online booking,
so there's no need to rush for seats!
I think this restaurant is really suitable for the general public.
If you need to celebrate a special occasion,
this is definitely worth considering.
After all, the price is quite reasonable,
and the overall dining experience and atmosphere are excellent.
I highly recommend this French restaurant to all my friends!

⭐️ Food Review
👉 Red Duck | Black Olive, Black Lime
It starts with a small cube of red duck,
paired with black olives and black lime for flavor enhancement.
The taste is quite innovative,
opening the door to the subsequent food experience!
👉 Bread with Black Garlic Butter
The bread served is a generous chunk,
which is quite substantial!
Next to it is a large block of butter for dipping,
and a great part is
if your bread is insufficient, you can ask the staff for more!
You can eat your fill!
👉 Hiroshima Oyster, Taro, Clams
This dish is presented as a soup.
You can see that the bowl contains oysters, taro, and clams.
Personally, I'm not a fan of taro soup,
but in this dish, the taste of taro is not overwhelming.
The seafood, including oysters and clams, helps balance the flavor of the taro,
creating a bubbly sensation in the soup.
The visual effect is quite cute as well!
This is also a dish I really like!
👉 Tofu with Sea Bream
I need to mention this dish particularly,
as it is quite special.
The restaurant serves sea bream in a bowl of tofu.
The tofu has a true tofu taste,
and surprisingly, the combination with sea bream feels very harmonious.
The sea bream is exceptionally fresh,
and there is a decent amount of it in this dish,
with the fish sitting right in the middle of the tofu bowl.
I found this dish very delicious!
It's also quite unique to see tofu and seafood combined!
👉 Oxtail | Creamy Napa Cabbage, Angelica
This one leans more towards the vegetable side.
The creamy napa cabbage paired with angelica has a very striking flavor contrast
that leaves a deep impression.
👉 Flounder | Hokkaido Scallops | Jerusalem Artichoke
The scallops used in this dish are quite large,
topped with a small piece of flounder,
and the flavor is a bit stronger compared to the other dishes,
but I also really love this dish!
👉 Quail, Pistachio, Sage
The quail's portion is not particularly large,
with the pistachio and sage simply enhancing the flavor and preparation.
Although this dish is part of the meat course,
the serving is really not that much.
I found the quail quite delicious,
but unfortunately, the meat portion was a bit too little!
👉 Wagyu | Beef Tongue | Burdock
This is also part of the main course.
The wagyu beef tongue and burdock combination.
The wagyu is cooked perfectly,
with a small portion of beef tongue alongside it.
Finally, the burdock helps alleviate any greasiness from the prior dishes.
This beef combo is also a dish I found quite good!
In the end, using the burdock really tied everything together!
Before the wagyu is sent to the kitchen for cooking,
the staff first brings out the whole piece for us to see,
allowing us to check out what meat will be used today
and briefly introducing the dishes of the day.
This was a great way to enhance the experience!
👉 Hokkaido Milk | Citrus | Jasmine
This dish utilizes milk and various flowers.
The floral scent mixed with the milk is quite memorable,
and visually, I felt it was very cute.
Though it disappears quickly when eaten,
it leaves a lasting impression!
👉 Rice Pudding | Lemon | Coffee
Finally, for dessert,
there are two small pieces.
I found the dessert a bit ordinary,
but it was still above average and had a nice concluding feel.
Overall, after enjoying all these dishes,
I found each one quite satisfying,
almost all above average,
with some being particularly unique and impressive.
In terms of seasoning and cooking,
this menu felt neither overwhelmingly strong nor intense.
Most of the dishes and flavors were quite gentle,
utilizing complimentary or contrasting sensations in presentation.
It’s an extremely palatable menu,
and I am very satisfied with this occasion!
⭐️ Atmosphere Review
The ambiance in the restaurant is well-controlled.
The lighting primarily uses warm yellow tones,
perfectly encapsulating the feel of an upscale dining experience.
Additionally, the walls feature some tastefully artistic works.
Though the space in the restaurant isn’t too large,
the layout is quite comfortable,
with a limited number of tables.
This spacious arrangement allows for comfortable dining experiences!
The overall atmosphere reflects that of a high-end restaurant,
making it quite suitable for couples or families
to celebrate special occasions with exquisite meals.
⭐️ Service Review
I found the staff to be quite professional.
As mentioned earlier,
in high-end dining, the way a dish is introduced matters significantly,
which requires employee training,
along with familiarity with ingredients and flavors.
This restaurant performs quite well in this regard.
For essentially every dish, I heard their introductions and understood the contents,
even if I sometimes forget after.
In the moment, it's great to learn a bit more about what we're eating
and how it's prepared, including ingredients, etc.
These aspects are very important!
Additionally, the staff is also very considerate,
particularly regarding promptly refilling water!
⭐️ Price Review
I feel that for an upscale French restaurant,
the prices are quite entry-level.
However, regarding the overall quality of the food,
from presentation to flavor profiles and service attitude,
they all excel in their categories.
Given this price, I really think this place offers extraordinary value!
So, the next time they update their menu,
I will definitely return to visit!
After all, being able to enjoy such high-quality French cuisine at this price,
the value is undeniably high!
⭐️ Summary
I personally think this French restaurant
is genuinely worth recommending.
The prices aren’t exceptionally high,
yet the entire experience is quite enjoyable.
I highly suggest this restaurant for anyone looking to celebrate special occasions or enjoy fine dining.
You can certainly start here!~~

A friend saved up for 1.2 years to visit this restaurant. Apart from choosing one of two main courses, drinks include coffee, black tea, or a special beverage, with the rest fixed. Here’s a simple introduction to the dishes on that day.
Seasonal Menu
Both main courses of the day are priced at $1380 + 10%.
▪️Burger patty · Soft-boiled egg yolk · Tomato salsa
In addition to the above ingredients, there are also cracked leaf sesame leaves, which are particularly noted for their mild spiciness when eaten alone. The flavor of the salsa is lighter, pairing nicely with the sesame leaves. The burger patty is very juicy and delicious.
▪️Germinated grape bread · Zhuangwei peanut butter
The bread is quite standard, but I particularly like that the butter is made from peanuts, giving it a peanut aroma. I cleaned my plate thoroughly.
▪️Bottle gourd soup · Potato foam · Clam bubbles
This dish was a bit hard for me to appreciate. The bottle gourd is pureed completely; the potato foam is delicious, and the clam bubbles have to be savored carefully to taste the flavors. There is plenty of fresh clam meat, so overall it’s not bad; just presented in a unique way with the bottle gourd and clams.
▪️Seared scallops · Mixed greens · Apple vinaigrette
The apple vinaigrette is quite fragrant, refreshing with the greens, but I feel it doesn’t go very well with the scallops. However, the scallops are tender and delicious! It’s a concept of each part following its own path.
▪️Main course: Rib-eye steak with beef bone gravy
As introduced, the meat is freshly cut upon ordering to maintain freshness. While not exceptionally tender, it’s not difficult to chew either. I quite liked the seasoning of the steak; it was beautifully plated, and the portion was larger than expected.
▪️Main course: Honey-glazed cherry duck in three styles
The three styles include original flavor, white wine jujube sauce, and red wine grape sauce. This dish immediately caught my eye when served; the duck meat was incredibly rich, with three large pieces! I liked it quite a bit (though I cut off the oily parts); the skin and meat tasted great as-is. The jujube sauce is quite special, and I found the red wine sauce to be just okay.
▪️Lemon tart
Though called a lemon tart, it’s presented in a deconstructed manner. In fact, the cookie at the bottom along with the lemon mousse (and filling) is quite tasty, and the shape is eye-catching. If it were described as a dessert, I think it would be perfectly fine and delicious, but as a deconstruction, for me, it no longer resembles a lemon tart; the cookie can't replace that hard, crisp texture of a tart shell.
▪️Latte coffee · Seasonal special from Ruins
The coffee is standard. The seasonal special is an Americano with jujube sauce flavor, which is quite unique and refreshing to drink, somewhat similar to Sicilian coffee—very refreshing, but there’s an unpleasant... maybe it’s a jujube skin odor (?) that slightly detracted from the experience; it’s good, yet a bit stinky?
Overall, we visited on a Saturday afternoon when it was raining, and we were the only guests. The dining environment was very comfortable, and the staff was warm and introduced the dishes in detail. I enjoyed both main courses; while the flavors don’t make me particularly eager to revisit, I highly recommend it for those who enjoy this style to come experience it! There’s also a beautiful seaside nearby for taking photos. (Food 3.5 + Atmosphere 0.5)
P.S. When we made the reservation, we could freely experience printmaking or a fern board class; we chose the latter, but since my hands got quite dirty during the process, I didn’t take photos. You can take your work home, which is pretty great!~~
Summary: 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
Dickson's food blog update!
Although it's full of banter 🤪, it is definitely sincere and genuine 🥺.
This time, I visited a budget-friendly Italian and French cuisine little restaurant~
Located in a small alley on Xinyi Anhe, serving a variety of dishes.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and the seating is spacious.
If you dine in the evening, you can see the... street directly from the glass area (?)
The staff has a good attitude and carefully introduces the characteristics and differences of each dish 👍.
Unfortunately, the flavors of the food are not particularly outstanding or memorable.
Not bad, but it's a pity that it's not particularly prominent 🥲.
It could also be because I didn't order the signature dish of the restaurant that day~ lasagna!!
That day, I ordered the classic set meal.
Appetizer 👉 Smoked salmon mousse
👉 It's just a basic platter of smoked salmon served with mousse.
Starter 👉 Pan-seared Hokkaido scallops
👉 Scallops cooked using a searing method, no particular highlights.
It's probably just the general scallop flavor that you can often find outside.
Main dish 👉 Confit duck leg
👉 This is probably the first highlight that I feel was good.
The meat of the duck leg is tender and easy to eat, not greasy, and smooth.
But the portion is a bit small~
Main dish 👉 Steak
👉 Just... an ordinary steak, nothing memorable or impressive... 🤯
Dessert 👉 Soufflé
👉 This is probably the best highlight of the day.
It has a cute and distinctive shape, and it tastes great 👍.
Overall, the food part of the set meal is considered average.
I might as well order the lasagna next time to see how amazing it is!

🤪🤪 Dickson's banter 🤪🤪
In this place with many mysterious restaurants and shops along Xinyi Anhe,
there's a little French kitchen~~
It's a pity that there are no breakthroughs in terms of flavor!
But since I was already in Xinyi Anhe,
combined with nearby bars,
it's OK to stop here for a bite!
Meeting up with a girl to eat lasagna and dessert first,
to warm up and fill our stomachs before heading out to drink nearby!
Or continue eating and drinking at a gastropub~~~
On that day, my itinerary indeed continued with the next stop at a gastropub after finishing here!
Just as I mentioned before,
dates require transitions~~~
You can't just stay at one place!
So where did I go next~~
To know the details, please wait for the next post! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This French restaurant, La Plage, is located in Wading River, in the northern part of Long Island. I originally wanted to choose the Duck Leg Confit. However, I still prefer roasted fish, especially roasted Mediterranean sea bass (which can be found at Costco). Comparatively, fish main courses seem to be more worthwhile.
Branzino Filet ($29)
Asparagus, Cherry Tomato, Wilted Greens, Lemon Chive Vinaigrette
Sardinian Cous Cous, Roasted Peppers, Chorizo,
Little Neck Clams, Swiss Chard
Duck Leg Confit ($26)
Fresh Chive Risotto, Truffle Essence, Exotic Mushrooms Served Table-Side
On our last day in Vietnam we decided to try our luck online
Found this highly rated restaurant online
It turned out that the reservations online were already full.
But we didn’t want to give up so we called directly☎️
It just so happened that they had space available at the time we could.
When the gang was preparing to go there, it happened to be raining heavily in Vietnam.
But the man on the bus at the door still worked very hard to guide us.
After taking a seat in the restaurant, the waiter worked hard to introduce us in English.
There are many choices for meals. Finally we ordered
❤️Foie Gras
Basically, as long as this dish is on the menu, I never seem to miss it. I will definitely want to order it every time. The foie gras here is also very delicious ~ boiled pears are used to enhance the flavor of the foie gras. Umami! Combined with the 🍞bread below, the whole thing is very coordinated! It’s a highly recommended appetizer!
❤️Appetizing scallops
The scallops are slightly fried on both sides, and the degree is just right. The fresh scallops are not wasted, making the whole thing tough~ Caviar is added to the scallops, and apple strips and raisins are used to add a change in taste! With the combination of the surrounding sauces and the sweet and sour taste of the scallops, you can not only enjoy the umami flavor of the scallops, but also experience a harmonious combination of salty and sweet! It’s also an appetizer that I highly recommend~
❤️Salmon Avocado🥑
As the name suggests, it is a combination of raw salmon and avocado! This sauce tastes a bit like mango jam. It is paired with the freshness of salmon and the original taste of avocado, giving the whole dish a sweet and sour taste, adding to the texture!
❤️Flannel Steak + Thin Noodles
The selected part of the steak 🥩 is very soft and tender, without too much oil to affect the taste! We choose to cook it medium rare~~If you are afraid of blood, you can actually cook it a little bit more! But I personally like how soft and tender it is! They will also ask us if we want to cut the steak for me before serving it ~ I personally prefer to do it myself! But such considerate service is also worthy of praise!
❤️Salmon Filet
The salmon here can be paired with any sauce and surrounding side dishes you want! I chose a different passion fruit jam and... fried mushrooms and cauliflower 🥦 The salmon was fried just right ~ it was completely pink and not too dry ~ the important thing is that the quality of the fish is really great! Highly recommend the salmon here~
❤️Handmade ice cream🍦
It is said that their ice cream has different flavors every day! Actually, we couldn't taste what it tasted like today... but it tasted great! Great for clearing your mouth at the end
❤️Baked pudding
The caramelized surface of the pudding is super fragrant. When you hit it with a spoon, it matches the pudding body. The crispy and tender texture is super delicious! It's not too sweet at all...and the toasted pudding slowly spreads in your mouth! Perfect for wrapping up the evening!
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. The service is great! The food is great - even the wine is great! But there are a lot of meal options and a lot of changes! Basically, there’s nothing that doesn’t taste good!
If you have the chance to come to Hanoi, you might as well give it a try!
A high-end French restaurant in the Tailu Lifestyle Mall in Qianzhen, Kaohsiung. It specializes in new-style French food fired directly by wood fire. All meals are developed by the chef. Real ingredients and prototype foods are used to present each meal.
The average price per person is around 2,700. If you occasionally indulge in luxury food, you get what you pay for. It is highly recommended for gatherings with friends, lovers, and couples on special holidays. It is definitely a very respectable restaurant.
Everything from the decoration to the meal service is of a high standard. The top of the Wagyu beef rump is very popular. It is medium rare and very tender and delicious! The quail side dishes are also super delicious. This is the first time I have eaten quail meat that is so good for my stomach. The chef really has two brushes.
Each of the ten meals in total amazes me. New dishes are changed every season. I am looking forward to the summer menu at the end of July and want to try it😋
Environment ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Meals⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I used to go to Huatai to eat joints, but this time I wanted to go to the third floor of the food court to see how the newly opened second floor is like. I found that the JK STUDIO next to it actually has a relatively cheap dinner at noon on weekdays (before 14:30). There were many business lunches, so I decided to take this opportunity to eat and see~
There were three main dishes in the business lunch that appealed to me, namely confit duck leg, Kavalan pork chop and rib-eye steak. Finally, my traveling companion chose the duck leg, and I chose the Kavalan pork chop recommended by many people on Google reviews. The business lunch includes the main course, a bun with salted butter, the soup of the day, an appetizer salad and a drink (Earl Gray tea or Americano coffee). The overall portion is not very large. Generally, boys are about 70% full after finishing the meal, because there is just a cake. 30% off, I also ordered some classic chocolate cake as a finishing touch~
All the meals are above average, but what I would like to mention in particular is probably the Kavalan Pork Chop as the main course, which is very amazing. The pork is cooked quite soft, and there is no pig smell. It is simply paired with Mustard seed sauce and rose salt, it is a main meal worthy of the price.
Confit duck legs are relatively ordinary, and it is difficult to eat elegantly with a knife and fork. If you are going on a date with an unfamiliar friend or partner, it is recommended to avoid this dish🤣
Just chocolate cake, chocolate cake, if there is a discount, you can order it.
Belgium has several lovely cities beyond its capital Brussels, and Ghent, where Du Progres is located, is one of them. The well-preserved medieval castle bell tower, combined with modern street trams, interweave old and new scenery to create a city with historical heritage and comfort that you can imagine. A city for people to settle in.
Waterzooi (chicken stew with vegetable cream) is a dish that originated in Ghent. The chicken itself does not have a strong flavor and is relatively dry. It feels like it should be chicken breast (? But it is still good to eat it with vegetables dipped in cream sauce. If the cream can be stewed with the chicken, it will be more delicious!
Stoverij varkenswangetjes (Stewed Pork Cheeks) The meat is quite soft when stewed, but I personally think the pork is a bit fishy. Fortunately, there is a plate of vegetables to relieve the greasiness.
Visvingers tartaarsaus (fish fillet with tartar sauce) is an appetizer, which is ordinary but not oily when fried. The appetizers are served very quickly, but the main meal has to wait for a long time. Fortunately, there is a fish fillet scene at this time😅
There are many beer brands to choose from, and they will also be paired with corresponding beer glasses. I like Jupiler the best. It tastes quite like Taiwanese beer (it also has a similar status in Belgium). It is refreshing, not bitter and very smooth~
Du Progres is located in the Grain Plaza. The location is easy to find, and the waiter’s attitude is also very good. The price is a bit expensive, but you can still come and experience it~

🔰First visit🔰
#dateRestaurant
Regarding the first date, choosing a restaurant is a detail that girls care about. Surprisingly, safety steakhouses are actually very unsafe. Maybe there are better choices.
During the meal that day, I asked the girl Pengpeng, how would you feel if a boy took you to this restaurant?
"I think this boy has good taste👍🏼"
I tried to imagine foreign languages speaking around me, looking out to the view of the infinity pool, the restaurant on the 10th floor of the International Hotel, foreign chefs interacting with every table of guests when visiting the restaurant, bright yellow lights and relaxed French style The food doesn’t feel like being in Taiwan.
As a promoter of emotional warmth, all details of the restaurant are subject to inspection.
French cuisine still has a very high-end impression in the minds of Taiwanese people. They like the chef to order a la carte in a relaxed and slightly larger portion, suitable for sharing, and the time and pressure will not be so great.
The bread of the day was well received. The mini baguette had the texture of focaccia and the Taiwanese flavor of mullet roe cream. All three girls ordered it again.
Wagyu tartare can be had in half or one portion. It tastes refreshing, but I don’t like it very much.
I had the Provence stew from "Ratatouille" and the mixed vegetable stew in some Michelin restaurants. This dish is originally a country dish, but at Seasons by olivier e. it has a more rural feel in southern France. The fish steak above is Pengpeng thinks it’s delicious😋
The charcoal grilled beef rib eye is smoked using a wooden box, and the visual effect is very eye-catching. I like the lava chocolate cake for dessert. It has a refreshing flavor that is less sweet and does not put any extra burden on the stomach.
The service staff were friendly, and the chef came out to greet everyone and take photos. A wonderful night was filled with extra point questions one after another.
-Pre-meal bread mini baguette (available when seated)
-Truffle chicken mousse/white ham/Emmental cheese/toast $458
-Wagyu tartare/romaine lettuce/baguette slices $398 (half portion) $748 (one portion)
-Provence sea donkey fish stew $788
-French classic country pork with white sauce $598
-Charcoal grilled beef rib eye/classic green pepper $988 (half portion) $1388 (one portion)
-Lava chocolate cake/vanilla ice cream $328
-Grand Marnier Soufflé $338
