#土城
This Fuding pork slice restaurant seems to have just opened not long ago. It is located near exit 2 of Yongning MRT station, right next to a parking lot, making transportation very convenient.
Just by the name and pictures, it's a bit difficult to tell exactly what they sell. So today, I decided to come in for a meal to find out. I ordered Shanghai scallion oil dry noodles, braised pork rice, and a mixed meat and shrimp ball soup. While waiting for my food, I glanced at the posters inside the restaurant. The shrimp balls seemed quite impressive, claiming to contain 95% shrimp meat.
The dry noodles arrived first. The color looks quite heavy in flavor, but actually, it’s not. There’s a faint scallion taste, and it’s only mildly salty. It’s very easy to eat, and I could easily finish a bowl. The braised pork rice is a mix of lean and fatty meat, not greasy and not overly salty. It’s delicious.
Now, let’s talk about the mixed soup. Although it costs $85 for a bowl, they really give you plenty of ingredients. The meat slices are actually not the kind I imagined; they’re chunkier. The texture is very chewy and unique. The shrimp balls truly live up to the claim of 95% shrimp meat; they taste really shrimp-y and are very fragrant. Their texture isn’t as chewy as the meat slices but instead has a bit of crispness from the shrimp. This bowl of soup surprised me; its mildly sour seasoning is very pleasant, and it’s a generous portion—enough for two people to share.
The presentation in the restaurant is simple, but everything is tasty. I recommend it to friends visiting Yongning station!
#Elders Dinner Pocket List
This is my first time eating Fujian food in a restaurant with one Michelin star in Singapore. I think the experience is quite good!
This time I brought my elders to eat. We didn’t eat much, so we ordered the whole meal a la carte. It was very filling and the average unit price was not high, at most 400 per person!
The side dishes are really delicious, especially the nine-turn rice noodles in the four star picks. If you dare to eat sausages, you can give it a try!
👍👍Crispy fried taro heart
Taro that is first fried and then stir-fried is very delicious, sweet, salty and delicious. Anyone who likes taro will love it. My grandma ate about 10 of them and she was very satisfied 😂
👍👍Gold and silver soup with seasonal vegetables
This dish is really delicious. The seasonal vegetable that day was spinach, and it was paired with their special soup. It went very well with the meal and made people want to eat it again and again.
👍👍 Putian Seafood Braised Noodles
This dish is really amazing. I thought it was bland at first, but the more I ate, the more delicious it became. Moreover, six people shared it and they ate a lot. It is a meal that can be taken away every day!
👍👍Jade Jade Cabbage Stewed with Soft Tofu $298/small
Order a small portion of soup, just right for six people. It is a rich and delicious soup, perfect for finishing!
👍Crispy chicken
My family loves it very much. The skin is very crispy and delicious. The flavor is also absorbed into the meat. It is not dry or tasteless.
It is highly recommended to enjoy it when dining with family members and elders. The price is not high, but the service and taste are very good (but you would not usually choose this restaurant when dining with friends. This is my pocket list for dining with the elderly)
Qi rice, southern Fujian Quanzhou snacks
Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bad environment: ⭐️⭐️
Although it is a fly restaurant, the taste is really good
The store is not big, it's on the second floor, so it's a bit hard to find.
🔱 Signature Braised Pork Rice (A la carte ¥32) Can be paired with a set meal
The braised pork rice tastes very good, the braised pork is fragrant. Interestingly, I asked the boss to sprinkle pepper and salt on it, which scared him. It seems that mainlanders eat braised pork rice without pepper...
🔱 Pork swallow (soup) (a la carte ¥10) ¥10 off when paired with the braised pork rice above
The meat swallow is quite special. It's a bit like meat soup, but it doesn't add Taibai powder to thicken it. You can try it, it’s really good when eaten with braised pork rice.
🔱Oyster Omelette
Oyster omelette in mainland China is actually a bit different from Taiwan’s
Taiwan prefers to use Taibai powder to thicken the soup.
Mainland China likes to add an egg
It tastes good, but personally I’m still used to Taiwanese-style oyster omelette!
They are all dishes worth trying!
There are several photos of Quanzhou scenery hanging on the wall, including the East-West Tower and Tianhou Temple (the non-spicy kind...) To be honest, the scenery of Quanzhou is really similar to the scenery of Tainan, hahaha
