"Face Changing Sour and Spicy Noodles" is located near Xingtian Temple, about a 4-minute walk from Exit 4. The shop is quite small, but the exterior and sign are very cute, giving off a feeling of thoughtful design. As soon as you walk in, the owner warmly greets you, and even before tasting anything, you already feel a sense of comfort.
The owner is from Chongqing, and the boss has lived in Chongqing for over a decade, so the flavors are definitely authentic~
I ordered the "Yuan Yang Double Combination" with fried dumplings and noodles. The noodles are thin, and the owner has a keen sense of the desired texture; I personally found them just right, with a slightly powdery feel when eating. There are 6 pieces of fried dumplings, and they are quite large, with a generous amount of noodles, so I felt very full after the meal.
The house-made spicy oil with Sichuan peppercorn is incredibly fragrant, and those who love spicy food will definitely enjoy it~ If you can't handle much spice, that's alright too; you can adjust the spiciness. I chose a mild level today, and it was very gentle~ For those who enjoy numbing flavors, you can sprinkle some of the house-made ground Sichuan pepper on top.
After eating, I took home some spicy duck blood stinky tofu and noodles for my family, and the portions were also very large!
The owners are super friendly; they not only carefully explained the dishes to me but also let me try different levels of spiciness. When I was about to leave, they treated me to a special dish of shredded potatoes. When I ate it at home, I was amazed—it tasted completely different from what I imagined for sour and spicy shredded potatoes, being even more refreshing, and the shredded potatoes were really crunchy. I absolutely loved it~
I highly recommend this warm little shop to anyone who enjoys Chongqing cuisine!

▪️Thai Spicy Fried Chicken Thigh Rice $238
Includes a fried egg, side dishes, drink, and soup.
The chicken thigh itself is quite tasty, but the fried skin is ordinary, and the seasoning is average. The side dishes are mostly boiled, and the fried egg is very dry... The side dish of passion fruit and green papaya is quite refreshing, the soup is average, and the drink is very plain.
▪️Moon Shrimp Cakes 6 pieces $129
It just feels like frozen shrimp cakes, nothing special about the taste; they are very thin and the flavor is normal. I expected them to be bigger, but they are quite small.
Overall... it has the taste of a standard casual meal. If I hadn’t suddenly wanted Thai food that day, I originally had no intention of buying it. There are other tastier options at the station, and considering the price and taste, I probably won't visit again.
Located near the MRT Technology Building Station, Atithi Indian Restaurant & Bar serves authentic Indian cuisine with a focus on traditional flavors. In addition to standard curries, naan, and snacks, the menu offers a variety of options, including vegetarian dishes and "Indian-Chinese" dishes that blend Taiwanese flavors. While dining, the children at the table behind us kept asking for more fried rice, which was quite amusing. The restaurant attracts many families and groups of friends, creating a relaxed atmosphere well-suited for group dining.
On the day of our visit, the restaurant treated us to a serving of Papad crisp, which was thin and golden, paired with two classic dipping sauces that had rich layers of flavor.
I was particularly eager to try the Indian street snack, Pani Puri. The outer shell was crispy, while the filling was refreshing, accompanied by a sauce made with a mix of mint, coriander, tamarind, and other spices. It had a slight antiseptic taste that might be a bit shocking for Taiwanese diners; not everyone may love it, but it truly embodies the soul of Indian street food and is worth a try.
For our main course, we chose Gosht Rogan Josh, a spiced lamb curry. This dish was amazing; the lamb was incredibly tender and juicy, with no gamey taste at all. The curry sauce was thick and generous, with a rich flavor highlighted by red pepper and various spices. It is definitely one of their signature dishes worth recommending.
The Tomato Soup left a strong impression—rich and smooth, accompanied by crispy croutons, creating a complete texture experience.
The Plain Naan was rather thin and crispy; while it was decent, it wasn’t particularly outstanding.
The Garlic Naan was pungently garlicky, but it had a layer of butter that made it somewhat similar to Taiwanese garlic bread. I personally prefer a pure garlic flavor, as the butter might overpower it.
Both the Lassi and Masala Chai were on the sweeter side, with a nice expression of spice.
Overall, Atithi is a comfortable restaurant that serves thoughtfully prepared dishes with a wide selection, making it suitable not only for avid fans of Indian cuisine but also for friends looking to try something new.
We visited on a holiday evening, and the bill for two, including service charge, was around NT$1400. If you're concerned about pricing, I recommend visiting on weekdays to enjoy their NT$199 business lunch or takeout set. Whether you are here to savor exotic spices or simply to switch up your palate, this place is a great choice.
This is my first time eating here, and the portion sizes are sufficient and delicious.
This time, I ordered curry chicken thigh rice and cold mixed fresh shrimp. The chicken thigh is cooked until it's tender and melts in your mouth. Adding the fresh chili or lemon juice provided by the restaurant gives it a different flavor, perfect for summer!
The cold mixed fresh shrimp comes with crushed peanuts, Thai basil, and shredded cabbage, which makes it very fragrant. The only downside is that the plate space is quite small, so you have to mix carefully.
The restaurant has a drink machine that you can use as much as you want, making it very affordable overall! I can see myself coming here often 😋
Oh, by the way! If you order a main dish plus a cold side dish, you can get a discount of 15 yuan. Payment via Line Pay is very convenient.
Lastly, the environment is very clean. After eating, you need to return the utensils yourself, and there is a restroom available for washing hands, which I think is great.
Denim Elephant Café is a small shop with an artistic and cultural atmosphere, decorated with an elephant theme on the walls, under the tables, and on the chairs. The ambiance is friendly, playful, and creative. The space is adorned with handicrafts and artworks.
This time I tasted one of their specialties, the Thai vegetarian hot pot series, specifically the spicy hot pot with a South Asian flavor. The soup base incorporates coconut milk, lemongrass, and Thai spices, resulting in a mildly spicy yet comforting flavor, with a rich and aromatic vegetarian broth. It features a variety of vegetables such as tomatoes, mushrooms, and tofu skin. What I particularly appreciated was the balance of the coconut milk aroma and the spiciness of the lemongrass; even though the spiciness is not strong, the aroma is enough to support the overall flavor of the pot.
The vegetarian hot pot and baked dishes are generally well-received, although they are on the higher price side, starting at about 200. For those looking for an affordable meal, the price might seem a bit high, but when combined with the atmosphere and drink/dessert options, the overall experience feels more balanced.
In summary, the spicy hot pot at Denim Elephant Café is a creative dish that combines Thai flavors with vegetarian healthiness, with a well-blended coconut milk base and spices, along with a rich variety of side dishes. It's definitely a place worth revisiting.

Super famous Vietnamese cuisine
I heard that even the Vietnamese ambassador visits this restaurant when coming to Taiwan (not sure if that's true).
Since it was a club gathering, we had reserved a private room in advance.
Each private room is named after a place in Vietnam.
The menu has both à la carte options and set meal courses.
Most of the staff are Vietnamese, which gives a sense of being abroad,
and it feels a bit like you're not actually in Taiwan 😂.
Here are a few dishes that left a strong impression on me:
🌟 Vietnamese Milk Tea
It tastes quite similar to Thai milk tea, but it's not as sweet comparatively.
The spice flavor is also not as strong, leaning more towards Taiwanese preferences.
🌟 Spring Rolls
This dish did not suit my taste at all.
It was filled with a lot of spices and very overpowering.
For me, it was the most disappointing dish.
🌟 Vietnamese Chicken Salad
Very delicious, with a refreshing and pleasant taste.
The combination of chicken and vegetables, along with the seasoning, was very well matched.
It's the kind of dish that makes you want to take bite after bite in summer.
🌟 Stir-Fried Flat Rice Noodles
Tastes like the kind of Vietnamese flat rice noodles you can imagine.
The seafood flavor is adjusted with lemon, so it's very refreshing
and doesn’t taste as salty as Thai dishes.
Overall, it was very well paired.

Below are the items ordered and their prices 🔻
👉🏼 Couple's set meal $1188 👍🏼
🔺 Papaya Salad
The tangy and spicy flavor is perfect as an appetizer; the papaya is the best I've ever had! 🤩 (I’m not usually a big fan of it)
🔺 Money Bag Shrimp Cakes
A portion comes with 2 large cakes; it's considerate that scissors are provided to cut them into smaller pieces. I prefer the texture of these over moon shrimp cakes; the shrimp paste is ample, and the outside is crispy without being dry.
🔺 Thai Spicy Chicken
The portion is cut into six pieces, with a crispy skin, and the meat is tender and juicy, comparable to fried chicken places, served with shredded cabbage to balance the greasiness.
🔺 Thai Lemon Fish
The fish isn’t huge but is similar in size to other chain brands. It has a delicate texture and not too many bones, topped with plenty of seasoning for added spiciness, making it one of the spicier dishes.
🔺 Shrimp Paste Water Spinach
The shrimp paste adds flavor without being too smelly or salty, and the portion is quite generous.
🔺 Coconut Chicken Soup
It looks light but is quite the opposite when tasted 👀; the coconut flavor is fresh, and it’s served with plenty of chicken pieces and vegetables like onions, carrots, and lemongrass for flavor, with the chicken being juicy and not dry.
🔺 Thai Milk Tea
With plenty of ice, it balances out the sweetness of the Thai tea, and the portion is just right to soothe the spiciness and quench thirst.
🔺 White Rice
Two bowls are provided; it doesn’t taste like your typical fragrant Thai rice, but at least it’s not mushy, pairing well with the Thai dishes.
The set meal is enough for two adults and even fills us up a bit.
Each dish is well-seasoned, neither too salty nor too sweet.
The staff is friendly and professional; they are efficient with recommendations, clearing plates, and billing.
The location is in Far Eastern Plaza B1, originally the “Red Bean Hot Pot” stall.
There are plenty of seats for around 50 people, spacious and comfortable.
Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand
For several consecutive years, a Michelin-recommended northern Thai curry noodle shop.
There are a wide variety of choices, from savory dishes and desserts to drinks, all with plenty of options.
The service attitude is also very good.
This time, we specially arrived a bit earlier than the dining time to avoid the queue.
Fortunately, there was no line at all, although there was no air conditioning in the seating area.
However, there are electric fans, which is still great.
🌟 Chicken Curry Noodles
The curry noodles are super delicious!
The broth is rich and balanced, not overwhelmingly so.
The chicken is seasoned just right, not too salty.
The noodles have a good texture and are enjoyable to eat.
Highly recommended!
🌟 Rice Noodles
This is somewhat similar to the Japanese dipping noodle style.
Personally, I'm not a fan of this method.
The rice noodles tend to stick together a bit, which I don't really like.
🌟 Grass Jelly Milk Tea
Super delicious!
The grass jelly is of the chewy kind, quite different from the grass jelly in Taiwan.
I think it pairs very well with the milk tea.
Recommended!
In the food street of the Yuanshan Flower Expo Park, the meals are relatively inexpensive. Payments can only be made in cash or with an EasyCard, and invoices are available.
In summer, there is dry tossed rice noodle with pork, which is different from what I imagined. It feels similar to noodle soup; the dishes are all hot, just with less broth. However, it has a decent amount of ingredients, including bean sprouts and Thai basil, and the pork is sliced with a good portion size. The lemon might be added in larger amounts, making it a bit more sour, but it’s quite suitable for summer. The dining area next to it doesn’t have air conditioning and is hotter. The rice noodles are a bit different from what you get outside and feel more like flat noodles, but they’re quite good with a nice chewiness without being too soft or mushy.
I also ordered the cold tossed shredded papaya, which has a generous portion and is on the sweeter side, but it tastes pretty good.

The crispy chicken with spicy sauce dry noodles comes with about 4-5 pieces of chicken.
Since the sauce for the dry noodles wasn’t flavorful enough, I ended up adding the spicy and sour sauce from the chicken.
My friend ordered the Pad Kra Pao pork set.
It also includes free red tea; if you want other drinks, you have to pay the difference.
It comes with 3 side dishes + a bowl of soup.
