A Korean porridge shop near Huashan.
It's a Korean store that opened in Taiwan.
There wasn’t much of a line.
Today’s weather is a bit cold, so porridge is quite suitable.
🌟 Octopus Beef Porridge
When it comes to the table, it’s filled with the aroma of sesame oil.
There’s a lot of octopus and a good amount of beef.
However, the flavor is a bit mild.
You need to pair it with the sauces or side dishes they provide on the side.
Once mixed in, the flavor is just right.
🌟 Half-and-Half Beef Porridge
Highly recommended for those who want to try two types of porridge!
One has a stronger flavor with a fried sauce taste,
super reminiscent of zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodles).
The vegetable flavor is somewhat similar to the other one,
with a milder taste.
Overall, there aren't too many customers,
so you won’t have to wait long.
It tastes pretty good.

Will I come again next time: Because it’s relatively cheap, I will come again. But I also want to spend money trying other dishes or other restaurants.
This time’s meal: creamy gimbap P260
Price: P260 (no service charge)
Extra surprise: water and side dishes are served
The two girls were quite full just from this
The flavor of the rice roll wasn’t very pronounced, but the best part was the miso dipping sauce
The crab meat tasted like crab sticks
Check-in comment gets sikhye (sweet rice drink)
Overall, excellent!
The restaurant said that the side dishes can be refilled
If you visit Olango Island and want to find a place to eat
This place is quite suitable!

This is the second time I've eaten at Bei Village. Personally, I don't have a special fondness for their dishes. Today, I came purely with the mindset of conducting a market research among peers.
During the off-peak period, they still had about 20% of customers, which is actually considered good compared to other department stores (the first place goes to Guanyuan Hui; I want to try that next time). Today, I ordered the relatively special Korean-style soybean paste fried fish tofu hot pot 🍲. Since I've been controlling my diet lately, I didn't eat much, so I didn't order any additional dishes (even though I was quite interested in trying the fried noodle dish). Shortly after placing the order, the staff brought out six types of side dishes. There were many varieties, and they weren't just any ordinary side dishes. Today, we had cold tossed bean sprouts, spinach, kelp, kimchi, sweet and spicy fish cake, and passion fruit papaya slices, which should be the same as the items I had last time. Everything was fresh and not overly greasy. After finishing the side dishes, you can go to the public area to refill more of the items you want. The all-you-can-eat side dishes should attract quite a few people to dine here 🤩.
The main dish, the Korean-style soybean paste fried fish pot, had a heavier overall flavor. There were about 4-5 pieces of fried fish, which is actually not a small amount. I guess they are pre-fried and set aside, as the inside was a bit cool when bitten into. You need to soak it in the soup for a while for it to get hot, but if soaked for too long, the skin becomes soft, which I personally don't like, so I deduct a little for this point. The soup base also had a lot of tofu but no other special side dishes. Just like the first time I ate, if I only had this pot, I would feel a bit empty. Luckily, there were side dishes to go along with it. The iron pot bibimbap had egg skin at the bottom and a bowl of rice topped with meat sauce. Personally, I added some Korean chili sauce and put in the side dishes to make my own stone pot bibimbap. It felt very rich, and there was no need to order more rice 🍚. Although I was stuffed, I still wanted to get an ice cream cone 🍦 to make for a perfect ending.
Overall, my dining experience today remains the same. Actually, their tofu pot's flavor is rather ordinary; it’s not bad, but it can't be considered special. The price isn't exactly cheap, but the quality is relatively stable, plus they have free all-you-can-eat side dishes, and they give out ice cream after the meal. All of this makes it feel like a good value for money, especially since Taiwanese people love hot pot, which is why their business is always so good 💰.

I actually knew about this restaurant for a while, but I don't know why it suddenly became a trending restaurant! Perhaps it's because some influencers came to write some reviews, so suddenly the restaurant needs to be reserved in advance to get a table! However, I walked in not long after it opened today and was fortunate enough to find two empty tables, allowing my friend and me to have lunch together smoothly! I originally thought each hot pot was an individual pot 🍲, but it turned out the army pot was actually quite suitable for two people to share. However, there weren't too many ingredients; most of it was taken up by the noodles 🍜. Although the taste was decent, I couldn't help but feel it was a bit monotonous! If I go again, I might not choose the army pot, but will try other options like the tofu pot!
What I found quite interesting was the…
❤️ Seaweed Vermicelli Roll
This dish looks cute, and while it doesn't have much flavor when eating, I really liked the crispy texture of the seaweed on the outside. Inside, there's only a hint of seasoning with the vermicelli, but it can be eaten with a Korean dipping sauce, giving it a unique flavor! I think it's a great appetizer!
Overall, I think this restaurant is just average; it's not as amazing as the influencers say. However, it’s fine to come here for a simple bite when I think about grabbing something to eat, especially since the place has a strong Korean vibe and the staff are very responsible. Overall, there aren’t any significant downsides! At most, the ingredients are a bit on the sparse side~ If someone usually enjoys eating carbs, they should find it quite satisfactory!
I haven't been to Korea for a long time and I really want to eat Korean cuisine. I've always wanted to try the Korean rib hot pot, so I came here. The style of the restaurant is very cute, and it really feels like being in Korea. There’s even a photo booth at the entrance, and the photos print out on thermal paper. If you need a digital copy, you can scan the QR code.
At first, they serve three kinds of side dishes, which you can refill endlessly. Since I have a companion who doesn’t eat spicy food, we ordered the original potato rib hot pot (medium). The flavor was a bit milder than I expected, but the ribs were really tender; they can easily be pulled apart with a spoon and chopsticks. However, there is still meat between the bones, so I recommend using hands to get more. They provide gloves and aprons to avoid getting your hands and clothes dirty, which I think is quite thoughtful. The pot also contains potatoes, wide noodles, and rice cakes. In the end, you can even cook noodles, but I was too full and had to take it to go.
You should eat the steamed egg quickly because the container stays hot, and if you eat too slowly, the bottom will get slightly burnt. The soy bean curd was my first time trying it; it’s on the sweeter side, and I thought it was pretty good. The potato seafood pancake was different from the usual ones; it had quite a lot of filling. Eating Korean food definitely calls for soju, so we ordered peach soju, which matched well.
Overall, I thought it was nice. The staff's attitude was friendly, and they were proactive in asking if we wanted refills. The restaurant environment was comfortable, and next time, I’d like to try something that looks spicier, like kimchi or spicy stir-fried potato rib hot pot.
I often come to eat at this place! I ordered the grilled meat rice, with three types of meat to choose from: beef, pork, and chicken. There’s also an egg option, which can be selected as either fully cooked or soft-boiled. There are three side dishes to choose from, and this time I picked dried tofu, Korean glass noodles, and broccoli. The broccoli has a bit of a spicy kick, which is the garlic kind of spiciness. The dried tofu is slightly sweet, and the Korean glass noodles are a side dish I always order.
Original Potato Rib Hot Pot (Medium)
There are about six large pieces of ribs, tender meat, and you can refill side dishes, rice cakes, and instant noodles for free. Overall, it's average. If I return, I might want to try the baked egg and seafood pancake.
I only made a reservation for a non-peak dining time. The advantage is that they won't rush you after 90 minutes. The service attitude is very good; they will actively lower the heat to avoid splashing and remind you that extra ingredients don't incur additional charges. The appearance and atmosphere are that of a clean Korean snack shop. (No service charge)
I wonder if everyone has tried ginseng chicken soup, a must-eat dish when coming to Korea. It feels super comfortable to have a bowl when the weather is cold, it's truly essential for the chilly weather!
This time, I visited a restaurant that's very close to the Hongdae shopping area. From Exit 9 of Hongik University subway station, it's just a short walk of less than 400 meters. The storefront has very noticeable Chinese characters, and just across the street is a bus stop, making it very convenient for transportation 🚌.
I had been wanting to try this restaurant, as it is an old establishment certified by Michelin Korea. With a sense of curiosity, I came for a meal – to my surprise, there were many Taiwanese people dining around us 😂. I initially thought it was mostly locals eating here.
The menu is simple and straightforward. After being seated, they serve side dishes which can be refilled endlessly. Not long after ordering, the chicken soup was served. The piping hot soup made my heart race, and the whole space became warm ( •̤ᴗ•̤ )♡
My friend and I ordered two different priced ginseng chicken soups 👇🏻
✐ Traditional Ginseng Chicken Soup (토종삼계탕) ₩17,000
✐ Mountain Ginseng Cultivated Root Ginseng Chicken Soup (산삼배양근삼계탕) ₩23,000
Additionally, when paying at the counter, they had candy, which my friend and I both praised as super delicious. It's somewhat similar to our mint candies but of a much higher quality, so you might want to pay a little attention to it when settling the bill 😉⸝⸝> ༥ <⸝⸝😉
I saw the introduction online and came to taste it out of curiosity!
It's not even noon yet, and there's already a line at the door; it’s really a quite popular place, with most of the customers being locals.
This time I ordered pork rice soup and sliced pork rice. The portions are sufficient, and the flavors are average—not too salty, a bit like home-cooked meals.
The self-service area offers unlimited kimchi and radish, which is awesome! 👍
