☕ Coffee Misto $105
🤦 I heard that the review reward points for cafes are also going to be 40% off.
Oh dear, this might be the last article about this option.
The reward points were already not much, and after the discount, it feels like volunteering.
Haha! Will I end up back in the arms of Google Maps again?
While I'm still in this three-minute heat,
I'd better write a few more pieces to commemorate it.
Coffee Misto was introduced to me by a friend who is already a mom. She's quite budget-conscious and orders this every time she goes to Starbucks.
However, I have to be honest; after getting used to lattes, I find Coffee Misto a bit hard to drink. But after switching to oat milk, it becomes much more delicious, and the price per cup then turns into $125.
The Zhongqing branch is located on Zhongqing Road and has parking available. Next to it is Katsu Sushi, and there's a bus stop at the intersection of Zhongqing and Houzhuang Roads nearby, making it quite convenient.
The store has plenty of seating and a good number of power outlets. On this particular day, from just after noon until before dinner, the store was about 80% full.
This shop is a famous café on Instagram. Not only is the appearance of the café very cute, but the bow decorations on the rooftop also create a great atmosphere! Plus, the dishes are all specially made to look very girly. This has attracted many girls to come and enjoy afternoon tea🫖.
When I came here with a friend today, we didn't make a reservation in advance. Upon entering, we could go upstairs to find a seat we wanted, then head downstairs to choose our drinks, as well as the type of croissant or bread we wanted.
Today we chose:
❤️ Strawberry Butterfly 🦋 Croissant 🥐
It’s called a strawberry croissant, but it actually tastes more like a strawberry-filled bread. The outer layer is quite hard rather than flaky! The strawberry flavor in the middle isn’t very pronounced; it reminds me of the strawberry-filled bread I used to eat as a child. If you just want to have some strawberry bread, it’s okay, but it doesn’t have the croissant texture.
❤️ Latte ☕️
Normally, I would order a cup of coffee to go with the food, but the coffee here is really more for looking at than drinking. However, if you drink coffee often, you should be able to adapt! I actually didn’t finish it! There was just a little left because the bottom part was quite hard to drink.
Overall, if you like trendy places, everything here has a cute vibe, so you might want to experience it. But if you're looking for really tasty food, you might want to try other items to see if there’s something better!

Atmosphere: During the week in the afternoon, the place is still almost full of customers. Basically, it's self-service; after ordering via QR code, you go to the counter to pay. Water and other items are also self-serve. The ambiance in the store is very relaxed, and I was lucky enough to sit by the window with a nice view. It feels especially comfortable when the sun is out.
Food: The flavors are generally standard, but the unique persimmon rice cake from the Xinzhu Agricultural Association is worth a try. Personally, I prefer the peanut flavor over the yam flavor.
Overall, it feels very comfortable. After eating, you can also stroll around the adjacent agricultural supermarket.
In Korea, coffee shops are everywhere. I spotted this one while buying breakfast downstairs, and since I need a cup of coffee every morning, I rushed right in! The entire atmosphere is quite elegant, and the store is very quiet. There is only the owner working as the staff, and he is very polite. Even while preparing the meals, he pauses a bit to ask you to wait patiently!
The owner's English is good, allowing for effective communication about the drinks you want.
I ordered a simple cup of coffee ☕️, a latte. Since it was takeout, I watched the owner as he made the coffee from the side. He was calm and followed the process very steadily. The temperature of the coffee was just right, and it was relatively smooth to drink. If you usually feel uncomfortable after drinking coffee, this shop's coffee is relatively mild and not likely to cause stomach pain, plus the aroma is really good. After drinking it, I did feel refreshed!
Overall, I think it's a nice shop. If I'm staying near Myeongdong again next time, I would consider going there for a meal! I look forward to hearing some feedback from everyone who visits!
☕️French fashion trendy café—Is it not worth it besides the little fox cookies?!
This café, located in Miyashita Park in Shibuya, is a store under the famous French brand Little Fox, known for its fox-shaped cookies, and it is often fully booked with long lines.
However, my recent visit was very disappointing. First of all, the staff's attitude was very cold. When I approached the counter to place my order and hesitated for a moment, the staff immediately asked me to go back to my seat and review the menu before coming back. There were no other customers at that time, so I felt that I wasn't hindering anyone, which made for a very unpleasant experience.
After placing my order, the staff didn't confirm anything further and just told me to pay by card and wait at my seat.
When my order arrived, I was even more disappointed—it was just a very ordinary latte. Influencers usually take pictures of the drinks with the fox cookie attached to the cup, but I had to buy it separately, which costs 400 yen per piece. Adding it to the coffee brought the total over a thousand yen, and I thought it was too expensive, so I didn't add it.
For the same price range, I could have had a higher-quality single-origin coffee at a regular café, so I feel it's not worth it and would not recommend it.
The Snowball Coffee Shop is located on Heping East Road in the Da'an District of Taipei City, with the nearest MRT station being Guting Station, Exit 4, about a 2-minute walk away. The shop mainly offers takeout, with 5 high stool seats available. Although the space is small, the decor is quite exquisite.
Orders are placed verbally at the counter with the staff, and payment can be made with cash or various forms of payment, and receipts are not provided.
I visited during breakfast hours and initially wanted to go to a breakfast shop, but I was attracted by the sign outside Snowball Coffee (the shop has a menu but also displays many small posters of their dishes), so I went in and ordered the recommended breakfast combo: thick egg toast + black tea.
The thick egg toast lives up to its name… it consists only of thick fried eggs and slightly thicker toast, spread with a thin layer of mayonnaise; aside from that, there are no other ingredients, which is amusingly simple 😆, but it’s not bad! (Other flavors with meat require an additional $20.)
I ordered my black tea without sugar and with no ice; it had a slight astringency, but it was okay.
The original price for both items was $80, but as a combo, it was $65, which is reasonable for Taipei City. The staff prepared it as takeout without asking me, but even when I sat down to eat in the shop, they didn't say anything about it. The dine-in space is small but fairly comfortable; the staff was busy yet still friendly. It’s a place I would consider visiting again.
This breakfast shop is one I randomly found on Google, mainly because it's very close to my upcoming schedule and it opens relatively early in Korea. So I decided to go! I didn't expect the interior design to have a European style, with even a small courtyard that mixes in a bit of Japanese concept!
Later, I discovered that the café is quite popular. The entire space of the café is very large, with several areas dedicated to displaying celebrity signed photos. While dining, you can also see many sticky notes left by customers, serving as a unique collection and decoration!
Today I ordered:
❤️ Latte ☕️
The milk foam on the latte was a bit coarse, and the bitterness of the coffee wasn't completely masked, making it somewhat difficult to drink towards the end. Overall, it's not a cup of coffee I would highly recommend!
❤️ Black Tea ☕️
Since my friend doesn't drink coffee, I decided to order a cup of black tea. The black tea tasted quite ordinary and lacked any strong aroma. I felt it would be nice if they could spray some fragrance on it, at least to create a different atmosphere while drinking it. Unfortunately, they just served it very plain!
❤️ Almond Croissant 🥐
The croissant was probably the thing that I found most appealing. The croissant was flaky on the outside and soft on the inside, with a strong almond aroma. As soon as you take a bite, you can smell the rich almond scent. Although there wasn't a thick filling in the middle, it had a light and sweet flavor that wasn't overwhelming! It was a snack that I wished I could take another one home with me!
Overall, I'm not particularly recommending the drinks, but I think the pastries are quite good. If you happen to pass by, it might be worth stopping to take some photos since both the exterior and interior are quite interesting!
I came to the nearest Starbucks location to redeem a Line gift voucher. The atmosphere of this branch is very cozy; although it's small, it has great lighting and the interior is quite new. The style leans more towards a community vibe.
This time, I redeemed a latte, a lava cheese cake, and a lemon tart. The latte was pretty average, similar to what you'd get at other branches. The staff was very eager to ask if I wanted my lava cheese cake heated up; after heating, the chocolate became really delicious, but for someone like me who doesn't often eat sweets, it was still a bit too sweet. The lemon tart was rather mediocre.
Overall, it still serves well as a place to relax or for a work morning.
Banana Blue Coffee, a spacious three-story café located near Shilin MRT Station, is an ideal café for working all day, as it has no time limit.
When I visited on a Saturday afternoon, there were many students and digital nomads who came here to study and work, including several college couples cozying up together. The demographic kept the noise level manageable. I’ve also quietly added this café to my list of "study cafés" 📌.
Environment
As you approach the main entrance, you can see the entire space is built with exposed concrete, and there's a large blue banana 👉🔵🍌. The overall décor primarily features white and gray tones, complemented by royal blue accents.
The first floor has a large lobby area with several uniquely styled sofas, and the ordering counter is inside.
When you go up to the second floor, you’ll find a vast seating area, which also has an outdoor smoking section with a few tables.
On the third floor, there are even more seats, and it is brighter than the second floor, benefiting from almost entirely natural light.
The advantage is that almost all the seats in the building have power outlets, and since the café is located on a corner, it enjoys ample natural light from both sides, making it an excellent environment for studying or using a computer.
Food
The menu in the café is very simple and easy to understand, featuring a full page of drinks and a full page of food.
Beverages include various hand-brewed coffee, flavored coffee, and soft drinks, while the food options include bagels, Vietnamese bread, sandwiches, round breads, pan-fried toasts, and thick slices of toast, available in different bread and filling combinations. I think there are plenty of light meal options, and there are even more substantial offerings like rosemary chicken thighs, which are genuinely satisfying and not hard to eat. Therefore, spending an entire day in this café is absolutely no problem!
Service
After ordering, you find a seat, and the staff will give you a calling device; you can pick up your meal once it beeps. Generally, aside from placing your order, you won’t have many interactions with the staff.
Each floor has drinking water available for self-service, and there’s no time limit on dining, making the café a very free and chill environment.

Overall, just with:
With these three points, I already have a high regard for Banana Blue Coffee! Plus, the food and coffee are also of a decent standard, so it will undoubtedly be one of the cafés I’m willing to revisit.
If you’re a digital worker needing a computer setup or a student looking for a quiet place to study, this café will be perfect for you! 👍
