Taipei Nanjing Fuxing Station - A sports bar full of foreigners, a great place to practice English?
📍Stella Jug (A pitcher of Beer) NT$650
🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑
We each had a pitcher of beer; I'm not sure how many liters it holds, but it should be at least one liter! Haha. I was really thirsty that day, and when you order a pitcher, the staff will give you two cups, so you can share it. The reason for ordering a pitcher is that it’s quite a good deal!
▶️ Environment
🔹 The space is large and the atmosphere is dim
🔹 The decor leans towards an American style, with a bar counter and a DJ
🔹 When it's crowded, you might have to share a table, but you can chat with the person next to you xD
🔻 At special times, they start playing very loud music, which makes chatting less convenient.
▶️ Overall Evaluation
🔹 This place is one of the bars I've been to with a lot of foreigners. Additionally, around 10 PM, there is a special time where women can drink cocktails for free. (I've heard it's an unlimited drink situation, so be careful; they are quite strong. The staff may also offer shots.) On that day, we didn’t order any food; we just went for a drink after having dinner nearby, and I really liked the atmosphere here. So, if you’re bored and looking to chat with strangers, this is a good choice XD.
🍸 Kaohsiung Sanmin ▫️ Kaohsiung Medical University Business District
🍸 A charming little restaurant that serves coffee in the morning and alcohol at night.
It's been a week since I started my new job, and of course, I have to meet up with my sisters on the eve of the weekend to treat my hardworking self! 🌟
I happened to see some recommendations for this restaurant recently and found out it’s only 500 meters from my home. On top of that, the menu features unique Taiwanese creative dishes rather than the typical Italian fare you find in most bars or bistros, so I decided to take this opportunity to check it out. ❤️
When I arrived that day, there happened to be a private event. After a short wait, I was seated successfully. However, the restaurant has a spacious layout, but the tables are relatively close together. Occasionally, I was distracted by the chatter from neighboring tables, which could be a bit noisy. But what’s worth mentioning is that there were two cats, one orange and one black, roaming around, peeking out from time to time for some petting, which was very adorable! 🐈
As for the food, it wasn't particularly stunning but had no flaws either. Overall, both the main courses and appetizers were quite decent. The drinks were categorized into "Beginner" and "Practitioner," which was quite interesting. Each option we tried was light in alcohol content and not overly sour or sweet, making it very smooth and enjoyable. Plus, if plain drinking gets too much, there's still plain water available for self-service, which is a nice bonus. 👍🏻
The owner and the service staff were very friendly. When it came time to pay, the owner even gave us a discount of 98 NT dollars, which was greatly appreciated. Based on this experience, I’m quite inclined to return next time. Even without drinking, enjoying coffee and dumplings there feels wonderful! 🥟
Let's just let the pictures tell the rest of the story! ✨

Dickson's Fooday mouthpiece food review is updated!
Although it's just chatter, it's definitely open, fair, and just! 😍😍😍
This time, we arrived at a tavern.
However, this one is newly opened on Linsen North Road.
This tavern is actually quite new.
It seems they have recently been promoting many activities to attract customers.
What's rare is that in an environment like Linsen North Road, which leans more towards Japanese-style consumption,
we can see a tavern similar to those in the Eastern District.
Typically, the target audience for these two areas is quite different.
Linsen North Road usually has more Japanese customers,
primarily consuming drinks like beer in an all-you-can-drink format.
Therefore, we rarely see taverns like those in the Eastern District and Xinyi District in Linsen North Road.
The overall atmosphere of the shops is quite different.
Additionally, the types of alcohol sold will also vary slightly.
Taverns in the Eastern District and Xinyi District focus more on cocktails,
and they utilize equipment like sofas and such for a cozy atmosphere.
You can clearly see that this newly opened tavern wants to tap into the formats of the Eastern District and Xinyi District in Linsen North Road.
What's the future development from here? We'll just have to keep watching!
First of all, because this tavern serves fewer food options,
I didn't order any food that day.
Moreover, this tavern is also somewhat far from the MRT station or public transport options.
Whether you take the MRT or a bus,
you will need to walk for a while to reach it.
The closest public transport stop requires about a 10-minute walk to get there.
It's not too far, but it's not a place you can reach immediately after getting off.
Furthermore, the location is somewhat on the side of Linsen North Road.
So friends planning to visit should check the map to confirm directions before coming!
However, what makes this place stand out is that it is a so-called ninja-themed tavern.
So there are a considerable number of decorations related to ninjas inside.
For instance, the walls are adorned with many fans and shurikens.
As can be seen in the photos, there are indeed many little gadgets.
What's even more special is that different days feature various activities or performances.
For example, on the day of my visit,
the special performance was a ninja show.
Although it's called a ninja show,
it basically just involves two hot girls wearing revealing ninja outfits
dancing here.
Due to customs, I didn't include photos here. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This particular performance typically starts after 10 PM,
where two female dancers change into ninja costumes
that quite accentuate their figures. 🤪🤪
Low-cut short skirts and high-thigh slits. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
They come out near the bar area on the first floor to dance.
If circumstances allow, they might even interact with you
or come over to dance with you.
In summary, it’s quite a unique stage performance~~
I think it's because they want to attract more customers since it's their grand opening
that these activities are held.
Personally, I feel that this adds to the charm of the place,
mainly because the models they employed are quite attractive.
However, since this is a tavern,
we would certainly care about the quality of their alcohol.
From my experience on that day, I tasted three types of alcohol.
The flavors were actually quite mild.
I think it mainly leans towards the type of drinks appreciated by the ladies in the Eastern District.
I personally didn't have any particularly impressive memories of their drinks from that day.
So, it wasn't anything stunning, I guess. 🤣🤣

⭐️Food Section
As far as I remember, they don't offer any special food here,
so I completely skipped ordering anything that day.
So if you're planning to visit,
I still recommend eating a bit before coming.
⭐️Drinks Section
I didn't particularly remember the names of the three drinks I ordered that day.
I found all three to be quite average.
However, they did take care in how they prepared and presented the drinks,
using some techniques or a flame gun for presentation.
I think this is something that bars in the Eastern District and Xinyi District were doing a few years ago—
not just serving drinks, but also utilizing some tricks to catch people's eye.
In terms of this part, I think it’s done quite well.
But when it comes to the flavor and sensation of the drinks,
I believe they need improvement. 🤣🤣
⭐️Atmosphere Section
You can tell this tavern is brand new just by looking at the exterior.
Overall, the decoration is quite sophisticated and has a brand-new ambiance.
Besides the first floor,
there's a large space in the basement that can be reserved for private parties.
I think this part has considerable potential,
as I believe many groups of friends will need this kind of private space during certain holidays.
The downstairs area, in addition to seating,
also has a projection screen.
So if all the popular places for private bookings are fully booked,
this might be worth considering.
Since the environment here is very new,
and the chairs in the basement are also very comfortable sofas.
Back to the first-floor tavern,
basically, apart from the bar area,
the first-floor space isn't particularly large.
The sofa area can accommodate just an additional four to six people at most,
giving it a bit of a living room feel.
The owner also mentioned that
this bar aims to provide a homey drinking experience,
so they designed the first floor with several sofas and small tables for drinking.
However, I find it quite curious
that the owner seems to be a motorcycle enthusiast,
since about a quarter of the first floor is occupied by motorcycles.
That is a bit odd.
Who would put motorcycles in their living room? 🤣🤣🤣
Moreover, these motorcycles are not accessible.
Simply put, they're displayed there for people to admire. 🤣🤣
The owner also said not to touch the motorcycles,
so it seems the owner is using this venue to showcase his motorcycles a bit.
⭐️Service Section
From what I remember, there wasn't any notable service that day.
Basically, after ordering drinks from the staff,
they prepared the drinks in the back area and then served them to you.
⭐️Price Section
As mentioned earlier, this bar aims to adopt the styles of the Eastern District and Xinyi District,
so I assume the prices are similar to those of bars in those areas.
But as noted before,
the customer groups in the Eastern District and Linsen North are different.
It’s said that many friends coming to Linsen North are just looking for cheap drinks,
and they care more about having a space for activities and feeling like they can drink for less.
Thus, under this pricing model,
I am not quite sure if this tavern can sustain itself in Linsen North.
But if they can bring the drinking habits from the Eastern District to Linsen North, it could create a new situation.
⭐️Location Section
As mentioned at the beginning, this tavern isn't very close to public transport.
Walking still requires about a 10-minute trek.
In addition, its location is somewhat remote,
so I think the location isn’t particularly great.
However, since there are many Japanese izakayas or karaoke places nearby,
how to stand out in this area of Linsen North is perhaps the challenge for this bar. 🤣🤣
⭐️Overall
I think this bar basically has the feel of a typical tavern found everywhere in the Eastern and Western Districts.
When it comes to the quality of their drinks,
I personally don’t find it remarkable.
You can feel that the owner is very serious about elevating this establishment's visibility,
thus holding numerous activities during this initial period.
I personally think these activities are quite fun.
For instance, the ninja show I attended,
where you can see beautiful girls in ninja outfits dancing.
These kinds of activities indeed attract various customer groups.
However, it was quite unfortunate that
despite hosting such unique events,
when I left around 11 PM,
there were still very few people inside.
Of course, I think
for those interested in bar activities,
you can come here with an open mind to check it out.
After all, I think the ninja show is really quite good! 🤣🤣🤣
🤪Dickson's Chatter Zone🤪
I believe some ladies also love to watch other attractive women.
This bar offers such a quality ninja show.
Bring the ladies to see these voluptuous ninja models.
Use this opportunity to charm the ladies a bit! 🤣🤣🤣
🙎🏻♂️: I specially brought you here to see the ninja show!
👩: What ninja show? This is just girls dancing!
🙎🏻♂️: Exactly! Look at them! Their bodies are amazing! So sexy!
👩: Hmph! How can you say that in front of me? You're out on a date with me today! How can you look at other girls?
🙎🏻♂️: No, I was just admiring them! People love to admire beautiful things, right?
Look at their incredible figures! 😍😍
👩: You’re still saying! I usually just tighten up! Otherwise, look! (pulls down her shirt)
🙎🏻♂️: 😍😍😍 I’m sorry, I was wrong!
👩: Hmph! How dare you cross me!
As you can see,
isn't it better to understand each other through some humor?
If a girl gets mad at you like this,
it means she cares about you!
And it’s also a great opportunity to play around and boost mutual feelings.
Did Dickson’s chatter succeed once again? (?)
🎖️ Malt Genius Bar 🎖️
The number one cocktail bar in Wuxi!
If I could give it 10 stars, I would!
The bar is located in a less-known area of Wuxi, in the Jingkai Xuelang Town. It’s quite hard to find it at night, and most of the customers are regulars.
Even though I don’t visit Wuxi often, I always check in at this bar every time I come back. For example, this time I went two days in a row XD
The environment is well crafted, and the bartender takes good care of every guest, especially those sitting at the bar; they basically can’t finish all the shots. For instance, yesterday I had four gin shots; I love gin!
I ordered a martini. The ingredients for a martini are simple, but making a good one isn’t easy. Just using different gins can lead to a huge variation in taste, which is why I love it very, very much. Five stars.
There was also a hawthorn cocktail; I forgot what the base spirit was, but it was delicious.
The Negroni (coffee version) had gin infused with coffee beans first, and then they roasted coffee beans on top with a torch, thus the Negroni (coffee version) was born, with a lovely coffee aroma (obviously), and it was really fantastic, also five stars!
Additionally, regarding whiskey, as everyone knows, I love Irish whiskey. Its triple distillation process makes the whiskey incredibly “sacred.” This time, I chose Bushmills Black and let the bartender work his magic. He sliced an apple, turned it into puree and juice, and mixed it with whiskey. Five stars!
As mentioned before, most of the guests are regulars. I've been coming here on and off for about two or three years now, and I’ve made some friends, including Chen Qinyi, who will be going to the U.S. for her master’s degree at the end of October. Yesterday was her last visit to Malt Genius, and everyone helped hang a banner to send her off. I hope to see her again in fifteen months.
For me, a bar is not just a place to drink (although the quality of cocktails is very important), but more importantly, it provides a space for socializing and communication, much like MacLaren's where Ted and his friends often went in HIMYM. The reason a bar keeps inviting people back is because of the people there or the stories that happen there. Malt Genius, along with its outstanding cocktails, also offers everyone a great emotional value platform. Ten stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
In the future, I hope to open a bar in Tainan, just selling shots! Whiskey shots, vodka shots, gin shots, tequila shots; anyone who reads this article can come to my bar, and I’ll treat you to unlimited shots!
P.S. Vodka shots are best served cold.
If I can’t open a bar, at least I can set up a simple bar at home, and you are welcome to come and drink at my place XD
There are so many things to write about, so I apologize for the fragmented writing.

This time we visited a very well-known bar in Tainan!
We came to Tainan's famous tavern to check it out!
While on a business trip in Tainan,
I specially made a reservation at this well-known bar!
After work, I rushed to meet up with friends!
By the way,
it’s usually very hard to make a reservation here!
But first, everyone has to figure out the location of this place!
A little mishap occurred that day
because there was a similar tavern next door,
and my friend instinctively pushed the door open!
I was like: "Hey, this doesn't seem like a Chinese herbal medicine shop!"
My friend: "Oh no, I remember this is the right place!"
As it turned out, the waiter must have seen it all before,
and politely said: "Our place is OOXX, you must have gone to the wrong place."
Ah, that was really quite embarrassing~
But the place we accidentally entered looked quite upscale too.

Back to the actual Chinese herbal medicine shop,
the exterior gives off a strong 90s herbal medicine shop vibe,
and there’s even a counter for herbal medicine with an abacus at the entrance,
creating a great atmosphere.
Upon entering the bar,
while the space isn’t particularly spacious,
it is filled with a strong traditional Chinese style accompanied by dim lighting,
making the atmosphere just right.
As for the food, everyone felt it was just ordinary,
basically something to fill the stomach.
That day we ordered salty chicken... Well, it’s just salty chicken!
The menu actually had few items,
it’s probably meant to fill you up a bit to prevent drinking on an empty stomach~
As for the drinks, they were indeed quite good~
After all, it's a well-known bar in Tainan.
The drinks won’t turn into watered-down versions,
the strength, taste, and presentation are all commendable.
Also, the bartender was very hospitable.
My friend and I sat at the bar, and the bartender kept coming to chat,
(perhaps because one of the friends who went with us is a girl!)
But maybe because the space isn’t that big,
the sounds of conversation can get a little noisy due to the room's acoustics.
If you want to have a hushed conversation, you might want to pay attention!
In conclusion,
the Chinese herbal medicine shop is indeed a bar worth visiting in Tainan!
🤪🤪Dickson's ramble🤪🤪
Just Google Tainan bars,
and many bloggers will recommend this place~
Including the alcohol run in Tainan, this should definitely be a must-visit!
Come to Tainan to eat, drink, and have fun with the girls.
Sample all the local delicacies,
and in the evening, of course, you’ll want to have a drink to happily end the day!
As the saying goes,
a drink of alcohol boosts your mood (?
At this point, opening the reservation list,
wow, why is it so hard to book a table~
Let us know, Tainan, the city of food,
should also take care of nightlife; quickly book online
and come to the Chinese herbal medicine shop for a drink.
So that you can have a joyful and pleasant night in Tainan with the girls~ ❤️❤️❤️
"Crazy Bar" in Green Island is a bar full of character, boasting a unique environment and impressive food. The most eye-catching decoration in the store is undoubtedly the motorcycle displayed inside, creating a cool yet slightly retro atmosphere that allows visitors to feel the special vibe as soon as they step in.
Their Mexican chili pizza is definitely a must-try; the crust is very crispy, and paired with mildly spicy Mexican chilies, each bite is full of aroma and crunch, making it hard for anyone to resist. As for the fried chicken, the outer layer is crunchy like a cookie, which is quite interesting, but if you’re expecting spicy fried chicken, you might be a bit disappointed as the spice level here is not very strong. However, the fries are quite good, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, pairing well with the fried chicken.
As for drinks, I recommend trying their Sexy Beach cocktail, which has a refreshing taste and is perfect for enjoying in such an atmosphere. Overall, "Crazy Bar" not only excels in food but its unique decor also makes it a great spot for nightlife in Green Island.

I was fortunate enough to participate in the fan painting support event held at this bar, taking the opportunity to enjoy it during the exhibition!
Hiding in a small alley in the bustling district of Kaohsiung, there is a very eye-catching sign at the entrance that makes it impossible to miss. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by K-POP music that perfectly aligns with the theme~ The interior is decorated with various items related to K-Pop groups, and seeing the light sticks feels very welcoming 💕
Since we came after dinner, we only ordered drinks. This time, I tried the limited-time drink: Make Me Happy, named after a song by Huijun. Drinking it feels as light and refreshing as the song itself, with a slightly sweet and sour flavor that makes you want to take sip after sip. It might also pair well with fried foods!
Next time, I’d like to bring friends who also enjoy K-Pop to visit again! Highly recommended overall 🙌

Dickson's Fooday mouth cannon food review is here!
This time we are at a shisha bar located in the alleys of Linsen North.
I, Dickson, haven't really explored Linsen North much before 🥺🥺
But the overall feel of the shops in Linsen North is really different from that in the Eastern District, Xinyi.
There may be more Japanese people here,
and many shops have a Japanese style,
including a lot of Japanese on the walls, etc.
Most shop owners can also speak Japanese.
Moreover, outside the bars along the alley all look very similar,
simple, with walls that can’t be seen inside and a discreet door.
The shisha bar also has a low-profile appearance.
When you push the door open, the overall interior is in shades of purple,
dimly lit, with not many customers,
but there’s a kind of understated luxurious comfort.
The overall atmosphere is quite pleasant,
possibly because there aren't many customers—
that day we had only two or three groups, so it was pretty quiet.
That day, my friend and I smoked a shisha and ordered a drink each.
The shisha part was smooth and easy to smoke,
not too harsh or uncomfortable at all.
The drinks were just okay—
there wasn’t anything spectacular, but it matched well with the shisha,
getting a bit tipsy 😄😄.
The owner was very enthusiastic,
came over to chat and have some fun.
We were treated to some shots,
it was great! 😂😂
Overall, it is a secret shisha bar in Linsen North,
a great place to gather with a few friends or take a girl out for shisha and drinks.
You can definitely come here for a good time!

Linsen North has never been a territory I, Dickson, was familiar with~~
I usually hang out in the Eastern District Xinyi area.
I used to think Linsen North was a place to shout,
"No funny business~~" 😍😍😍
Now it seems like I'm finally venturing into Linsen North~~
Eastern District Xinyi girls are saying:
"Hmph, I’ve rolled through Ximen since I was young,
I mixed into the Eastern District Xinyi,
What’s so special in Linsen North!”
At this point, we need to guide a few girls
and let them see the different culture in Taipei's Linsen North!
Now you can bring out your local guide record of Linsen North
and show it to her.
🙎🏻♂️ "Wow, I’m a local guide level 7!
I just started exploring Linsen North,
Let me give you a whole new experience👋👋."
👩 "Hmph, what’s that?
Every time I pass here, I get hit on by brokers,
It’s so annoying!!"
🙎🏻♂️ "Don’t cry, with me around, no brokers would dare to come!
I’ve got your back❤️❤️.
Look, there’s a mysterious Japanese izakaya here,
And there’s a shisha lounge as well—
Surprising, right~~?"
👩 "Wh...what?
In this ordinary alley,
Are there really that many unique shops~~?"
"Normally, I wouldn’t recognize it at all!!!
And girls like me often hide here to avoid brokers,
But now that you’re by my side,
I can properly explore this new world❤️❤️❤️."
"I didn’t expect you to be so knowledgeable,
You can take me to get to know Linsen North better."
"You’re amazing~~❤️❤️."
Look at that,
You’ve now earned the admiration of the girl!
Feelings are up up!
Plus, you now have more options for date spots!
After all, many people
Only know about the Eastern District, Xinyi area!!!!
Let's explore this mysterious forbidden territory together 😍😍😍.
A bar located next to the Lin Yuan Industrial Zone, if you input the address, it will lead you to a small temple, and right next to it is a shipping container. This bar mainly focuses on being an outdoor tavern, and on Saturdays, there will be a live singer. On weekdays, the main attraction is movie screenings (if you are an ‘E person,’ you can also go on stage and sing for everyone). There are only three indoor seats with air conditioning, allowing you to watch the bartenders make drinks up close.
The food includes skewers, fried items, grilled dishes, American burgers, and beef noodles, along with a variety of non-alcoholic beverages. Interestingly, they also have hookah available.
The owner mentioned that his specialty is "sour," and the plum wine is super refreshing, tasting very much like honey tea with a hint of alcohol. It has a slightly sour flavor that is perfect for girls.
Their chicken thigh skewer is highly recommended, featuring chicken thigh with soft bone, paired with various flavorful sauces that complement each other well.
The outdoor atmosphere is fantastic—grab a small blanket, nestle into the sofa, listen to music, and watch movies. It's surprising that Lin Yuan has such a chill bar.
The bar I like best at Taoyuan Train Station is one opened by the staff from Zhongli Bar.
The quality is guaranteed, and there are no loud noises, just the sound of conversation. All the drinks are specially crafted by the store, and you can't find them outside! Some of the food items are a collaboration with the store, but the standards are good; the sashimi is fresh, and the fried items are slightly salty, perfect for pairing with drinks!
There are two adorable cats 🐱 at the bar. A 5% service fee is collected, but it's totally worth it!
