🚩 Location 🧭
Located on the 3rd floor of the Millennium Hotel in Taichung City, Xitun District, at the intersection of Zheng Road and Section 2 of Huizhong Road. There is a parking space in the hotel basement for 1 hour at 60 NT dollars.
🪑 About the Overall Atmosphere 🎡
When you exit the elevator on the 3rd floor, you can see the reception desk immediately. The decor features a light wooden style. The self-serve area is not very big, mainly concentrated on one side. Drinks, desserts, and fruits are positioned in the center or on the other side. The selection is not too extensive, but they offer private rooms for company year-end parties or similar events; there are only four restrooms, which is a bit limited and often causes waiting.

🍴 About the Meals ☕
One of the recommended dishes is the tomato beef noodles, which are made fresh upon order. The beef is tender and delicious, and the noodles have a nice chew that complements the tomato broth. The freshly made beef soup is very tasty, with the meat slices placed in a bowl and topped with piping hot broth; the broth itself is rich and flavorful. The lion's head meat sauce noodles have different noodles than the tomato beef noodles, but are also quite flavorful and chewy. The steamed crabs are cut in half for easier consumption. The cherry duck breast and seafood congee are also highly recommended. The orange juice tastes like it is freshly squeezed and delicious.
🤨 Conclusion ♥
Actually, I feel that the choices are not very many, and by the end, I was mostly eating repeat dishes. Considering the price, the cost-performance ratio is not high, and unless for gatherings or events, I wouldn’t consider coming back to eat.
🍱 A large view of Mount Fuji! Enjoy a buffet of Shizuoka delicacies at the onsen resort!
The restaurant located within the "Konohana no Yu" onsen resort at the Gotemba outlets offers a lunch buffet price of 3,300 yen for adults.
I initially thought it was just an ordinary buffet, but upon closer inspection, I found that the menu featured many local Shizuoka specialties, all available in one meal! You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, such as the fresh and sweet vegetables and the rice, which is Koshihikari!
While there are some Western dishes, the Japanese options are more abundant and tastier. Some local dining tips from Shizuoka are explained in the photos.
Furthermore, if you sit by the window, you can see a large view of Mount Fuji! Although on the day I visited, it was half-covered by clouds, I would be so happy if the weather were better.
If you come to soak in the onsen or stay here, I highly recommend dining at this place!

I have always known that the buffet at Mei Fu is famous, but I never had the chance to visit. This time, it just so happened that a friend had a birthday that month, and with four people dining together, one person could eat for free. It was a Sunday night, and the regular price was $2000 + 10% service charge per person, but after the discount, the average was $1700 (including service charge), which felt like quite a good deal!
Here are some items that stood out to me or that I really liked:
👍 I must highly recommend the freshly made mixed fruit juice and vegetable juice; they were truly made with real ingredients, though a bit sweet, I'm not sure if they added extra sugar.
The selection of cooked food isn't too extensive, but there were still some items I didn't try or notice. The grilled items weren't as impressive compared to other places I've been to, but the teppanyaki section had a lot of options. At the beginning, you have to queue a bit, but it’s hard to grab everything at once when you're a bit hungry 😂
The highlight was the dessert section.
I've always remembered that this place is also very famous for its desserts.
There were many items that you might find in specialty stores outside,
including room temperature, refrigerated items, and even waffles.
I was dazzled by the variety.
As a dessert lover, I wanted to try everything.
Although not every item was delicious,
I think it was already better than many buffets in terms of quality.
There were also some unique items like macarons and King cakes.
Overall, this place is fairly standard; a bit on the pricey side with not as many items as I expected. There don't seem to be many items that truly wow you. I feel that places like Xiang Xiang and Xu Ji at the same price point are more worthwhile, but it’s still nice to try at least once; they have birthday discounts available—just something to consider.
Reviewer Comments: The restroom is relatively far and requires walking outside to the restaurant.
I recently dined at the Paradise Dynasty located in Taipei Station. I chose a weekday evening and arrived around 6 PM. The restaurant was crowded, and there was a line to grab food. Dining hours are from 5:30 to 9:30, and there is quite a variety of dishes, including sashimi, fried items, cold dishes and salads, a teppanyaki area, drinks and fruits, desserts, etc.
Among them, the sashimi and teppanyaki areas were the most popular. The sashimi was fresh and had a good texture worth trying. Although the grilled steak was a bit undercooked, it was still decent. The diced beef from the teppanyaki area was also pretty good and definitely a must-try. The stir-fried clams with basil had a nice flavor, and the taro balls and sesame balls were quite appealing from the dim sum section. The caramelized grapefruit and cheesecake were also quite nice.
However, the replenishment speed for dishes was rather slow; I went back several times and still didn’t get some popular items. Overall, although there are some minor details that could be improved, the overall dining experience has its advantages. It's worth a try, and the price is relatively cheap compared to other buffet options.
Brace Face Review: You have to walk outside to the restaurant to find the restroom.
Palette Buffet Restaurant
Overall dining experience is average.
Pros:
Cons:
Price reference: Holiday dinner is around 2000 + 10%, with discounts bringing the average cost per person to 1750. Considering the price point, the dessert section and some highlighted items are more attractive, but overall service and attention to detail still have room for improvement.
Buying tickets online can be cheaper. This was my first time visiting the Hansui afternoon tea shop in Tianmu, and overall it was a good experience. I requested a seat by the window when making the reservation, and the restaurant accommodated this, making the dining experience very comfortable. The waitstaff were proactive in clearing unused plates.
The sashimi was a mix of delicious and mediocre; there might have been different levels of freshness?! The seafood was highly recommended, especially the shrimp, but the first batch seemed average and smaller, while the second batch was larger and sweet.
I recommend the hot beef soup, which tasted fresh and didn’t have any fishy smell, perfect for warming up in winter before enjoying the meal.
For dessert, I recommend the freshly made soufflé. The version at the Tianmu store has more chewiness compared to the one at the Fuxing store, though my friend who works in baking really enjoyed it. However, soufflés take time to bake and aren’t made in large quantities, so I suggest checking how much time is left before going over to grab one to avoid disappointment. The tea jelly is also worth trying, featuring a subtle tea aroma and not too sweet, seemingly made with kanten, giving it a special Q texture. Other desserts I liked included the classic chocolate, which is more bitter and less sweet.
When first entering, everyone queues at the sashimi area, so it’s advisable to first grab other food from the cold food area to avoid wasting time since the afternoon tea dining period is only two hours.
The salad was good with olive oil and balsamic vinegar available for self-adding, along with shredded cheese.
If you enjoy beer, you can try the Jing Che Beer King's German wheat beer, which is smooth and not bitter, but be sure not to leave it too long or it will become bitter.
Recently, the Hokkaido Gourmet Festival was launched. The top-grade Matsuba crab, one of the three major crabs of Hokkaido, is all-you-can-eat, and almost everyone has this on their table. A must-try, and there are scissors provided for you to serve yourself.
There are a lot of options like freshly grilled steak, lamb chops, soups, and more, and almost everything is available for you to eat, but overall, it can make you very full.
There are many types of desserts available, including freshly made soufflés, and every dessert is delicious.
For drinks, there are juices, specialty drinks, canned beverages, coffee machines, and more.
There are plenty of seats available, and many people dining, so reservations are required. A service charge of 10% will be added to the price. However, the prices are relatively high; for dinner, it costs $1790 plus the service charge. It's usually somewhere people go to celebrate or for special occasions.
The transportation location is very convenient, being very close to the subway station. The overall dining environment and atmosphere are very nice.
Location: Nangang District, Taipei City
Recently, there has been a super famous high-end buffet restaurant that is extremely hard to book. You have to rush in early to have a chance at getting a reservation. I watched too many videos and really wanted to eat there. As a result, I managed to grab three time slots on time, and later offered the other two time slots to friends.
What I like the most is that each area is paired with different types of alcohol. They have sake, millet wine, white wine, red wine, and various cocktails matched with different sections. I have a ceremonial feeling that I should only take items from that particular section if I'm going to drink from that section’s alcohol. Drinking white wine first is really quite bitter, but when paired with seafood, another sweetness emerges. It really feels very ceremonial; I believe people who love wine will be very happy with this.
🌟 Beverage Sharing
In addition to the alcohol paired with each area, there is also a dedicated beverage area. The cocktails are collaborated with a famous bar in Tainan. If you check out bars in Tainan, you will definitely know it. However, this time I only tried the one in the middle. It is truly suitable for this kind of family-friendly buffet. It is basically a "sister drink," with a light alcohol flavor, paired with the fresh sweetness of fruits, making it very refreshing and delicious.
🌟 Sushi & Seafood
My favorite is the freshly made seared sushi: seared wagyu, seared scallops, and seared salmon, all having an additional fragrance from the searing process. I highly recommend it to those who are not that fond of raw food.
Hand rolls are also made on the spot, and there are many flavors to choose from. However, you can tell that the staff is quite tired because it has become mechanical to a certain extent.
🌟 Barbecue and Fried Items
For fried items, my favorites are the fried shrimp and fried oysters. They have no fishy taste and aren't too oily. For the grilled items, grilled oysters often require queuing. I only got to try one thanks to a friend who helped me get it. It was also very fresh and juicy, completely without any fishy taste. Highly recommended!
🌟 Desserts
My favorite is their ice cream, and I think the Swiss milk flavor is delicious. As for desserts, the red-fleshed guava Basque cheesecake is very tasty and quite unique.
Overall, I think the experience was excellent. Whether it’s the speed of clearing dishes, the staff's service, or the variety and freshness of the food, I believe it is above standard. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys this type of buffet. Personally, I am not very strong in these battles, but this is a place I would want to return to with my friends.
Reviewer comment: The restroom is clean and tidy.
Grand Hyatt Taipei - Irodori Japanese Cuisine
This time, I chose to celebrate my birthday at Irodori Japanese Cuisine in the Grand Hyatt Taipei. The birthday guest dines for free with three companions. The regular price for dinner on holidays is NT$1,780 per person, reduced to NT$1,513 per person after discount. The dinner service was on a Sunday evening, and the restaurant was not fully booked.
Environment and Size
The restaurant is not large; upon entering, there is an open kitchen in a square shape that occupies almost the entire dining counter. The distance between the dining area seats is relatively small, and it can be quite noisy.
Type of Dishes
The dishes are divided into the following areas: seafood cold platter, sashimi, sushi, hand rolls, cooked seafood, grilled items, fried items, teppanyaki area, freshly made noodle area, soup and hot pot area, salad area, fruit area, dessert area (imagawayaki, Häagen-Dazs ice cream, red bean soup, mochi, agar jelly, grilled meatballs), coffee machine, and canned beverages, orange juice, the chef's special hibiscus vinegar, and alcoholic beverages (available for an additional charge).
Dish Features
Sashimi and Sushi: The sashimi is fresh, and the sushi rice is well-proportioned, with good flavor.
Teppanyaki and Cooked Food: The diced beef in the teppanyaki area is tender and juicy, performing excellently; however, the fried items were a bit greasy.
Desserts and Beverages: Imagawayaki (red bean and cream) has a nice texture; among the beverages, the chef's hibiscus vinegar is pleasantly tart and sweet.
Service
Each person has a tea cup at their seat, and the staff actively refills tea. The service attitude is friendly and attentive, and parking is convenient.
Summary
Although the variety of dishes is not abundant, the ingredients are fresh and delicate, and the restaurant leans towards a traditional Japanese flavor. It is suitable for birthday celebrations or small gatherings, but the seating spacing is limited, making the environment feel somewhat crowded.
🎉Shenzhen Shanhai Seafood Buffet🎉
🎉Unlimited Fresh Hairy Crabs♾️🎉
The biggest highlight of the Shanhai Seafood Buffet is the fresh seafood selection, ranging from live shrimp and crabs to various shellfish. 😳 All the seafood here is fresh and live. Diners can freely choose from the buffet station and then cook them in their own steamers or hot pots on the table, with steaming being the best way to preserve the seafood's freshness. 🙌🏻
In addition, the Shanhai Seafood Buffet offers a variety of sauces, allowing diners to mix according to their own taste. 👍 From classic garlic sauce to special Thai sauce, these condiments add more layers of flavor to the seafood.
Besides seafood 🦞, the Shanhai Seafood Buffet also provides a rich selection of other dishes, from Japanese sushi and Western steak to Chinese hot dishes or Hong Kong-style roast meat.
