The sauerkraut and pork hot pot at this restaurant is highly praised, with a moderately sour broth and abundant ingredients. The taro balls are especially recommended. Some customers feel that the meat quality is average, with a higher proportion of fatty meat, which may affect the texture.
The interior decor has a traditional Chinese style, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that perfectly matches the theme of hot pot.
The staff is friendly and does not charge a corkage fee, allowing customers to bring their own favorite drinks to enhance their dining experience.
The sauerkraut and white meat pot is sour from the beginning. It doesn’t need to be cooked for a while before it becomes sour. It’s suitable for people who like it sour!
The soup is good, the taro balls are delicious, and the initial ingredients are quite rich. The rest of the food is just average~~The meat quality is also average. Basically, I probably won’t return for a special visit. It’s not unpalatable but nothing memorable! (Except taro balls)
The birthday girl of the month who punches in will receive an extra plate of meat.
When the weather gets colder, it’s better to eat sauerkraut and white meat pot. The online reviews for this restaurant are pretty good, but it actually tasted a bit disappointing.
The main reason is that there is too much fat. I only took a picture of a meat plate with an acceptable fat distribution. The fat ratio of other plates was more than 60%, which made me a bit reluctant to eat it.
The acidity of the soup was pretty good at first (I think it could be more acidic later), but after adding broth, the sauerkraut flavor was diluted even more, so I might need to add more sauerkraut.
The overall dining experience is not bad, but the most important piece of meat is not satisfactory, so I give it 2 stars
I have passed this Siping restaurant several times and the interior decoration is quite tasteful. It is a traditional Chinese restaurant that specializes in sauerkraut and white meat pot. The hot pot itself is a very traditional charcoal pot, which is quite nostalgic.
The soup itself is very good, sour and flavourful! My favorite ones are the spicy balls and Huazhi slippery, especially the spicy balls, which have just the right amount of spiciness and are very balanced.
The only drawback is that the fat part of the white meat is a bit hard and a bit overcooked after cooking. The taste is not that good. I personally prefer the soft and tender fat part. Not sure why this is happening~
In addition, they only have Taiwan Gold Medal Beer, which I really don’t like, but there is no corkage fee and you can bring your own wine of your choice👍
Overall it's quite delicious. If you want to eat sour white pot, you can try it!
The sauerkraut and white meat pot is really delicious. The acidity is not so sour. I personally think it is just right. The soup can last for several bowls.
The pot itself has a variety of handmade meatballs, shrimps, oysters, etc. The seven of us ate some from the big pot and ordered our favorite ingredients, which was pretty good! The white meat has good texture and is not greasy when paired with the dipping sauce. For other ingredients, we recommend taro balls.
If you are the birthday girl of the month, you can go to Google and give a five-star rating to get a plate of meat for free 🤪
