Curry Lab. Tokyo 小巨蛋店

Hidden near Taipei's Taipei Arena, CurryLab Tokyo is a discreet Japanese curry specialty shop. The restaurant accepts electronic payments, making it very convenient for modern people accustomed to mobile payments. I previously dined at their Yanji location and had a good impression, and this visit to the Taipei Arena branch was equally stable and satisfying.

This time, I tried the "No Water Meat Sauce Dry Curry + Cheese." It has a rich aroma. The characteristic of dry curry is the absence of sauce, which highlights the concentrated flavor of the meat sauce itself. The pork flavor is a bit strong, and some may need to balance it with tea or an omelet; however, I think this is part of its charm. The addition of cheese perfectly enhances the smooth texture, and the overall layers are quite nice, though it might be more suitable for those who prefer stronger flavors.

Next up is the "Soy Milk Chicken Curry + Omelet." This dish feels much more comforting and is my top recommendation. The chicken is cooked perfectly tender and not dry, while the curry carries a natural soy milk aroma and delicate sweetness. It's rich without being overwhelming and pairs excellently with rice. The silky omelet adds to the overall experience, making the curry even more moist and visually and taste-wise richer!

For dessert, I had the "Soy Milk Pudding." It has a smooth and delicate texture, with the sweetness just right, and the caramel aroma is natural and unpretentious, making it a very pleasant way to end the meal.

Overall, CurryLab Tokyo at the Taipei Arena continues the standard set by the Yanji branch. Whether it's the strongly flavored No Water Dry Curry or the comforting Soy Milk Chicken Curry, both showcase the diverse charm of Japanese curry. I recommend all curry lovers to give this place a try!
