Good Memory Danzi Noodles is located on Jilin Road, and it’s a well-established Taiwanese restaurant. The decor has a slightly vintage atmosphere, making it suitable for family or friends gatherings. I originally planned to eat at the opposite Ah Cheng Goose Restaurant, but due to the excessive queue, I decided to dine here instead.
At the entrance, there are plates of food models displayed for reference, making it easy to order. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, from snacks to main courses. This time, we ordered sweet and sour ribs (230), sorghum sausage (120), tender fried pig liver (200), oyster fritters (250), danzi noodles (50), salted egg stir-fried bitter melon (200), seafood lotus leaf tofu (300), steamed fish in a bamboo basket (690), and three bowls of white rice (60), totaling 2,100 NTD.
Overall, the flavors are on the heavier side and the food is quite oily, but it's flavorful and good for serving with rice. The broth for the danzi noodles is smooth, and you can get free refills, making it a must-order. The oyster fritters are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the sweet and sour ribs have a balanced sweetness and tang. However, the pig liver was slightly overcooked. The steamed fish in a bamboo basket has delicate meat, but it's priced higher.
The dining environment is relatively spacious, the service attitude is good, and the dishes are served quickly. There is a nearby designated parking lot, but it's a short walk away. Overall, it's a consistently performing Taiwanese restaurant, suitable for gatherings or enjoying a hearty meal of Taiwanese cuisine.
