This time I came to "Douhua Zhuang" near the Ningxia Night Market.
The business is pretty good. 😆
I arrived on a Monday evening around eight, and had to wait a bit in line to place an order.
However, there are quite a few seats available, with both first and second floors.

After placing my order, I picked up my food from the pickup area and went to the second floor to eat.

This time I ordered the "Shaved Ice + Four Ingredients" option, with added condensed milk, soft peanuts, taro balls, and rice flour cakes.

1. I feel that the condensed milk isn't the kind of flavor I enjoy. 🤣
   It's very sweet, but I can't quite put my finger on what's off about it, haha.

2. The soft peanuts have a rich peanut flavor. 🥜
   The texture is just right!

3. Taro balls and sweet potato balls.
   I think this was my favorite topping this time. 🤤
   They're completely cooked and very easy to chew.
   The aroma of the taro or sweet potato inside is quite nice, and occasionally you get a little bit of the raw ingredient's texture. 👍🏻

4. Rice flour cakes.
   The rice flour cakes are just standard.
   They’re sweet and chewy.
   But I recommend sharing the rice flour cakes. 🤣
   Otherwise, I think they can get a bit overwhelming, haha.

I’ve eaten the douhua here before and thought it was pretty good.
This time I tried the shaved ice, and I think it was just okay.
The main reason might be that I feel the "syrup" doesn't have the traditional black sugar flavor.
And the "condensed milk" also isn’t the kind I like. 🤣

Next time I might just stick to eating douhua! 😇

The sweet soup ice cream shop near the Ningxia Night Market is bright and spacious. It has a second floor and a lot of seats, which is enough to absorb the crowds of people during peak hours. However, it is a sweet soup specialty shop after all, and the tabletop is sometimes stained by the sugar water spilled by the previous group of customers. It's sticky, which is a small flaw.
There are many sweet soup options. The beancurd has a bean flavor and the soup base is ancient sugar water. If you don’t want it to be too sweet, remember to avoid the bean paste type ingredients. I love their small glutinous rice balls. They taste very good and have a light texture when chewed. The glutinous rice is fragrant, and my friend highly recommends the taro balls for your reference🤣.
Most of the toppings you want to add can be done for only 10 yuan. It is very friendly to people with choice barriers like me. Only children make the choices, and adults can just add whatever they want!

The weather was getting hotter and I suddenly wanted to eat tofu pudding late at night, so I went to the Ningxia Night Market at around 11pm. I usually buy the nearby Binglin ancient flavored tofu pudding. Today I saw that the tofu pudding shop was also open at this time, so I came to exchange it. Eat and see in a store.

I ordered the store’s No. 3 tofu curd, which included mung beans, barley and glutinous rice balls, all my favorite ingredients!

Compared with the common brown sugar water, the sucrose smoothie here is added, which has an extra fragrance. I think the sweetness is also lower and not greasy! The mung beans are cooked just right, not too hard and not soft enough, nor too rotten or gritty. The barley is soft and Q-y, and the glutinous rice balls become a little tough because they are soaked in the iced bean curd. The tofu pudding is quite dense, and overall it’s good. I read the reviews on Google Maps and said that the line usually takes a long time. I don’t want to line up for bean curd. If you don’t have to line up, you can come here to eat it.
