Located near the Cultural Road Roundabout, Ah Hong's Turkey Rice needs no introduction—it's my top choice for turkey rice. The rice, turkey slices, and crispy scallions create a rich, savory flavor that's hard to forget with their perfect balance.

During this visit, the chicken slice rice and braised cabbage had already sold out, a testament to the restaurant's popularity. I had to settle for a small turkey rice bowl, but despite being a "small bowl," it was anything but lacking in sincerity. Each grain of rice was distinct, absorbing the oiliness of the turkey and the special sauce, with a savory richness complemented by a buttery feel. The shredded turkey had a chewy texture and was not dry, and with the addition of crispy scallions, the aroma was instantly amplified. Taking a bite was truly a taste of happiness unique to Chiayi.

Popular items often sell out early, so if you want to enjoy the complete menu, it's best to arrive early. This time, I missed out on the chicken slice rice and braised cabbage, which was a bit disappointing.

Later, when I was working as a substitute, the crowd began to increase, but I didn’t have to wait in line for a long time. Even if there was a line at the door, I would just walk in and sit down, and then the boss would ask you what you want to eat XD

There are too many people now, so we can only come to eat Ah Hong at three or four o'clock in the afternoon when there is no one around.

The taste of Ah Hong’s chef has never changed much. Unfortunately, the chicken rice is sold out today, so we can only have a bowl of turkey rice, sprinkled with pepper, chicken fat and scallions are the soul of this bowl of chicken rice. The rice is soft. It's soft and glutinous, and the shredded chicken is also delicious. The taste of Ah Hong's chef can definitely be ranked among the top three in Chiayi. The first thing in my heart is Smile Turkey Rice which is only open in the middle of the night XD

You can choose half-boiled or fully-boiled poached eggs. Personally, I like half-boiled eggs, so that the egg liquid flows on the chicken rice, which is very delicious.

The oysters in the oyster soup are very plump and delicious, and the price is not expensive. A large bowl costs 40 yuan, which is great value for money!

For one person, this is actually enough to eat. At most, I can add a vegetable. But more often than not, I will order a bento directly. It is more cost-effective to have meat, rice and vegetables.

Sometimes I don’t understand. Traditional food has sufficient portions and good taste, and the price can be controlled very well. However, in many new online celebrity restaurants, the quality of ingredients and cooking are not necessarily outstanding. They just add a little presentation, but they are not. The most important thing is not to improve the taste of the food, but to sell it for a price of 100, 150 or more, after all...?

Before going on a turkey rice tour in Chiayi City, Ah Hong’s Restaurant was recommended by most people as a must-visit during the store visit, and it was also recommended by internet celebrity Cai Aga.

The Guanghua Road store is only open until 8pm, while the Wufeng North Road store is open until midnight. The taste is similar, but the chicken oil rice in our store seems to be more fragrant and hot. If you have a car, Cai Aga also recommends going to the Ahongshi branch in Zhongpu Township to avoid the long queues.

Overall, the turkey rice is the best, and other side dishes are optional. If I visit again in the future, I will stick to the turkey rice.

Both stores are air-conditioned and the tabletop environment is clean, but the floor... is always full of toilet chopstick sets and toilet paper. The clerk seems to be used to it and never cleans it.

I came to Chiayi Ahongshi Turkey Rice Restaurant. This restaurant was recommended by my friend. The turkey rice is really the best. The taste is very salty to my liking. The braised pork rice is not too greasy. It is just right. It is not far from the train station. You can come and give it a try.
