This place is the Australia Dairy Company in Hong Kong.
It's very famous and really draws in a lot of people.
As soon as you enter, you need to quickly and decisively place your order—there isn’t much time to hesitate.
Before we could even settle down, the staff was already urging us to order.
There’s this feeling of “you can eat here, but please hurry.”
But it’s precisely this sense of efficiency that makes it quite interesting.
This time we ordered three items:
French Toast
The thick slices of toast are fried to a golden crisp, with a slab of ice-cold butter in the middle.
As soon as it arrives on the table, it starts to melt, paired with syrup from the table.
Every bite is a mix of sweetness, oiliness, and crispiness—it's packed with calories but extremely delicious.
The outer layer is crispy, while the inside retains the fluffiness of the toast.
If you eat this when you’re hungry, you’ll definitely keep going without stopping.
Almond Juice Steamed Egg
I was a bit worried that the almond flavor might be too strong, but this was just right.
The texture is as smooth as tofu pudding, but even more delicate.
You can adjust the sweetness with syrup, so it’s not overly sweet.
After eating, there's a lingering subtle almond fragrance in your mouth—surprisingly ordinary.
Dantou Coffee
This is coffee, not milk tea; the flavor is quite strong.
The bitterness is noticeable but smooth, with very little sweetness.
Drinking it immediately wakes you up.
It goes perfectly with the dessert, cutting down the sweetness in your mouth a bit.
This is the charm of an old-school tea restaurant.
The service isn’t particularly warm, but it’s not rude either.
The overall vibe is one of: eat and go, with a high table turnover rate.
Some places are just like this—not particularly comfortable, but very Hong Kong.
