The taste of the shrimp noodles and the beef brisket noodles is delicious, with whole shrimp inside the wontons, and the beef is tender. The broth is slightly salty but pairs perfectly with the dry noodles. The Chinese broccoli is sweet and crunchy.
The restaurant is small, with strong air conditioning. Usually, tables need to be combined, and the turnover rate is fast. However, during non-peak hours, you can enjoy a tranquil dining atmosphere.
Only cash payments are accepted, service efficiency is good, and there is no need to wait during non-peak times.
🍜 Mak Man Kee Noodle Shop
📍 G/F, 51 Parkes St, Jordan, Hong Kong
🕛 12:00 – 00:30
🌟 A well-known wonton noodle shop that has been nominated multiple times for Michelin recommendations, conveniently located next to Australia Dairy Company. The shop is small, with strong air conditioning, and you often need to share tables due to the high turnover rate.
🍤 Shrimp Noodles: Each wonton is solid and contains a whole shrimp, delivering maximum freshness. The broth is slightly salty, which pairs well with the dry noodles.
🥩 Braised Beef Noodles: The beef is tender, and the beef tendon is flavorful without being tough, with a rich braising sauce. The dry noodles are chewy but not overly salty, and adding a bit of vinegar enhances the taste. The only small downside is that the dry noodles can stick together a bit, making them not too easy to eat.
🥬 Chinese Broccoli: Blanched and refreshing, it's sweet and crispy, helping to cut through the heaviness of the meal.
🍵 Clear Soup: Served with the meal, it’s soothing and tasty, making it a great companion for the dry noodles.
💳 Payment Methods: No Octopus card or credit cards accepted, only cash.
💰 The total for this meal was HK$126. The price isn't particularly cheap, but the quality of the wontons and braised beef lives up to its reputation. This Michelin-recommended old shop is worth trying when in Jordan.
📍 Jordan, Hong Kong
A full shrimp wonton shop that has been featured in the Michelin Guide for many years 🦐🇭🇰
I’ve been thinking about the full shrimp wontons from this place since I tried them a few years ago 🤍. There are many wonton noodle shops in Hong Kong, but this one insists on having no other branches; it is said that many of the other shops are opened by relatives of this one.
Arrived at six o'clock on Wednesday night with no wait, and two people can sit at a four-person table without sharing.

Order Items:
🍜 Superior broth wonton noodles ($46):
The presentation when served isn’t great 😆, as the wontons are at the bottom. If you prefer softer noodles, I recommend the soup noodles.
The wontons are really impressive! Each wonton is filled with two pieces of fresh, springy shrimp 🤤🤤. They are full of flavor and have a great texture.
🍤 Wonton tossed noodles ($51):
The noodles have my favorite firm texture, and they have a characteristic yellow color with a hint of alkaline saltiness.
This dish has a better presentation; besides the tossed noodles, it also comes with a bowl of broth. The soup has a delicious shrimp flavor and a rich stock, very satisfying.
🍄
Will I return? Yes!
It’s my number one noodle shop! For shrimp lovers, I highly recommend trying the original full shrimp wontons, which come without noodles and include eight wontons!

Small note:

✨Wonton noodles HK$50
✨Wonton noodle soup HK$45
Both noodle bodies are the same, and the texture is between hard noodles and konjac noodles. The lo mein is dry, and you will get a bowl of soup that is similar or the same as the soup noodles. The wonton has two fresh shrimps when it is opened, and it is springy. It’s big, highly recommended for those who like fresh shrimp~
The store is not big. It is common in Hong Kong to share tables with others when there are many people. It is recommended to go on weekdays or during non-dining times when the crowds are less crowded.
