【Foodholic Naoko @ Taipei】
"Sushiro" is currently one of the top three most well-known conveyor belt sushi restaurants established by Japan in Taiwan, with many branches in Taipei. This time, we visited the "Taipei Songjiang Changan Store." Personally, I found the space quite cramped, especially in the check-in and checkout areas where guests are packed in with hardly any room to stand. This is a small downside of this branch, so I deducted 0.5 stars from the overall rating of 4 stars.
At Sushiro, you can reserve a number in advance through the app and check your progress. When your number is close, you can just arrive at the venue, which I think is very convenient. This makes me prefer choosing Sushiro compared to other conveyor belt sushi restaurants.
Today, the two of us weren't very hungry, so we ordered a total of 8 red plates ($40 each) and 3 silver plates ($60 each), which came to exactly $500.
By the way, if we were to visit during regular meal hours, we would probably end up spending around $800.
I generally think the quality of sushi at Sushiro is quite good, but the items I like to eat are mostly salmon, tuna, or tempura, with most being rated around 70-80 points and a small portion reaching above 90 points—these are the kind that make you really happy when you eat them.
Today, the items I had that were rated 70-80 points:
Salmon $40, Seared Salmon Belly $40, Salmon Abdominal $40, Fried Shrimp Avocado Roll $40.
Today, the items I had that were rated 90 points:
Seaweed Tuna Wrap $60, Seared Salted Raw Salmon $60, Garlic Squid Tempura $40.
Additionally, my friend highly recommended the Chawanmushi (savory egg custard) $60 and Crispy Mozzarella Cheese Sticks $60, so I wanted to share that with everyone!
Currently, there’s a limited-time item, Seared Beef Tongue $60, which I didn't try, but my friend said it was quite ordinary, so you can skip it.
Sushiro is currently collaborating with Monster Hunter for themed merchandise, so fans should take this opportunity to visit!
