The crepes at this restaurant are their signature dish, with a crispy exterior and a soft interior that makes it worth the wait. The classic double egg crepe is perfectly paired, but the basil crepe lacks a bit in flavor. The fried dumplings are average, and the black sesame soy milk is not hot enough.
The store has a comfortable environment, and it is easier to find a seat on weekdays, but during peak hours, you may need to wait in line. It is recommended to allocate more time for dining.
The service is friendly, and they offer QR code ordering and LinePay payment, but it takes a longer time for the dishes to be served.
📍 Zhongshan District, Taipei City (near Xingtian Temple)
A breakfast place recommended by the 2024 Michelin Bib Gourmand, popular for long queues 🥣🥚
I had wanted to eat here even before it was selected for the Bib Gourmand, and after it was selected, I heard the queues and waiting times could be exceptionally long.
This time, I chose to come on a Wednesday, a weekday.
I arrived at 10:30 AM and could sit down immediately without waiting. There was a QR Code on the table for ordering, and I could pay directly online using LinePay.
After placing my order, there was a long wait. I waited for over half an hour at my seat before the dishes started coming out.
It's important to note that if you arrive when the place is full, you will need to take a number and wait outside. It's advisable to set aside extra time when coming to dine.

Order items:
🍳 Classic Double Egg Pancake with Preserved Vegetable Set ($175):
I came specifically for their signature rice flour pancake with eggs, and the wait was worth it! The outer layer is crispy, and the inside is soft, allowing you to taste the batter.
I personally feel that the thickness of the double eggs complements the rice flour pancake perfectly. If there were no wait, I’d love to eat this kind of breakfast every day 😻
As for the fried dumplings, they were quite ordinary.
The black sesame soy milk comes in a cute bowl, but unfortunately, it wasn't hot enough, and the black sesame flavor wasn't very strong.
🌿 Taiwanese Style Basil Pancake ($50):
The rice flour pancake is perfect again.
However, I could barely taste the basil, making it feel rather empty and somewhat overpriced.
🍄
Will I revisit? Yes!
I would like to come back on a weekday for the double egg rice flour pancake 🥞
The store will be newly selected as a food powerhouse recommended by Michelin in June 2024. It is a specialty store for flour paste egg cakes.
There are a lot of people, so it is recommended to fill in the information on the paper at the door as soon as possible when you arrive at the venue to reserve a seat.
Milk tea only has iced and hot options. It tastes pretty ordinary.
The meat-controlled steamed bun contains meat floss and peanut powder. It tastes quite delicious and the price is on the high side. It seems to be the star product of the store. It is indeed delicious.
Their flour omelet is their star product. The ingredients are preserved vegetables. It tastes quite right and is very delicious.
There are three small pieces of meatloaf in one portion. I thought it was delicious, but I didn't say it was special.
When we first arrived, it was already around 12 noon, and the rice balls were already sold out. We were told that we had to wait for more than 20 minutes for the egg pancakes. In fact, we should have waited for half an hour.
There is a restroom in the store, and the restroom is quite big and clean.
