【Foodholic Nako @ Taipei】
"Soft Food Power" is a crepe shop in Taipei that I really like. Recently, it received the Michelin Bib Gourmand recommendation. Even though I have to wait in line for a long time every time I go, and it’s not cheap, I suddenly crave it every once in a while (but honestly, I recommend takeout because dining in really takes a long time~~~).
The Xingtian Temple branch is located near Xingtian Temple Station. If you pick up a number and find that it’s still a long wait, you can actually go pray at Xingtian Temple first and then come back.
I think the main reason to go to Soft Food Power is to eat the egg crepes (don’t be distracted by the mantou burgers and rice balls). Personally, I think the most basic double egg crepe for $70 is really good. The outer layer is crispy, but when you bite into it, the inside is a soft batter egg crepe, and the dipping sauce is quite flavorful. If you can handle spicy food, I recommend adding some spice; it’s very appetizing~
This time we also ordered five-spice soy milk chicken for $110 and Amu's handmade pork chop for $90. I personally think the soy milk chicken was quite good; the chicken meat was tender and quite large, but the pork chop was a bit dry, so I wouldn’t really recommend that.
As for whether to add the $80 upgrade set? To be honest, this time we ordered fried glutinous rice balls and red bean mochi pastry, and we thought they were pretty ordinary; you can choose to order them or not~
For drinks, this time we chose brown rice soy milk, which was pretty good. It doesn’t come with ice, just chilled, and it has a filling feeling without being too sweet.
