The ramen broth is rich and has a unique flavor, especially the extremely rich tonkotsu ramen, which pairs perfectly with the hand-kneaded noodles. However, the amount of meat is slightly lacking. The chicken and clam salt ramen is refreshing and delicious, full of umami, and highly recommended.
The store environment is spacious and clean, providing a comfortable dining space. The open kitchen allows diners to see the chefs at work, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
The staff is highly efficient, the ordering process is simple, and the store is equipped with a waiting area and hooks, making it convenient for customers while they wait.
On weekdays in September, you don’t have to queue at 17:00.
First, buy a meal voucher at the machine at the entrance, and once inside, you can just press the "stone pet" on the high bar table in front of you👌 There are coat hooks and storage baskets behind you, which is a thoughtful touch.
Chicken and Shellfish Salt Ramen
It has a sweetness from the seafood, with no fishy smell. The salt flavor is refreshing but not bland; it belongs to a summer light soup that you can drink all the way to the bottom without feeling burdened.
Super Rich Tonkotsu Ramen
Honest and true, it truly is super rich. It flows slowly, has a high noodle strength, and the richness is close to the level of curry sauce. You could say it’s at the dipping noodle level. While it isn’t spicy enough to cause stomach pain or numbness in the mouth, your taste buds can subtly sense its presence, adding layers to the rich broth. The meat slices are thinly cut, not burdensome, with no greasy mouthfeel, pairing well with the thick soup. The broth underneath retains heat well and can be hot, so please be careful😇
Before reaching the oily limit, you can have a bite of bean sprouts to change up the flavor—
Unlimited noodle refills, with both handmade noodles and fine noodles available. The handmade noodles are thicker, and both have their merits. The noodle refill provided is fine noodles; it's recommended that big eaters start with handmade noodles to try both types🫶
The table and floor have no stickiness, and the space is large, so you won’t bump elbows with the next table. The air conditioning looks like it’s working hard (there are three units), but it still can’t compete with the heat from the open kitchen, which is a bit unfortunate.
Marusampa Ramen has only been open for more than a year, but it has already been well received and has 3 reviews on Fooday. Today I would like to recommend another unique meal of this ramen shop: Deluxe Premium Surf and Turf TKG!
Just ordering this one is a low-cost option, which is a perfect option when you're not too hungry, or you can upgrade it to double the meal for an extra price.
This can be said to be the top version of barbecued pork rice. It also adds conger eel, salmon roe, raw egg yolk, shredded green onion and shredded seaweed. No matter which ingredients are mixed together, it is delicious.
For example, the egg yolk is mixed into the rice, bringing with it the aroma of halibut fat and mayonnaise, plus the texture of minced barbecued pork or salmon roe, giving each bite a similar taste and a multi-layered experience.
Combining ramen with barbecued pork rice often turns into a starch bomb, and often leads to overeating. However, the portion of the barbecued pork rice is too small. In this case, it is recommended to order the deluxe premium sea and land TKG!
The ramen in Marusam has two classic flavors: chicken scallop salt and tonkotsu, and offers regular and special versions.
Noodles are available in hand-rolled and thin varieties.
The food coupon machine is located next to the entrance outside the store. The L-shaped bar inside the store has about 15 seats and provides toilets, clothes racks and storage baskets.
After taking your seat, just hand your food coupon to the waiter.
You can directly see the kitchen operations from the bar counter, and the food is served very quickly.
Marusampa also offers the option of unlimited noodles, so even those with big appetites can be satisfied.
Recommended place to eat for the first time is $300
Special Chicken Scallop Salt Ramen 🍜
The soup has a mild and rich taste, with the sweetness of shellfish and moderate saltiness.
Yuzu peel and nori add a unique flavor.
The pork barbecued pork is thin and has a good texture, while the Shufei chicken is large and thick. There is no special seasoning, but the portion is sufficient.
The chicken thigh meat is grilled and fragrant and is the best part of this bowl of ramen.
The scallops are of medium size and have a normal taste.
The hand-rolled noodles are chewy.
Overall, this bowl of special chicken and scallop salt ramen has a smooth texture, and the most impressive thing is the delicious flavor of the chicken drumsticks, barbecued pork and scallops.
It is located near Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station, about a 3-minute walk from Exit 1. It is nearby Guanghua Shopping Mall and Huashan Cultural and Creative Park, so it feels like there is an endless stream of customers.
We arrived at 5pm on Sunday and already had to fill out the waiting table registration form. There were 7 groups in front of us, but because there were quite a lot of seats inside, about 18 seats, we only waited for about 15 minutes before going in.
There are only two flavors of ramen sold here: extremely thick tonkotsu ramen and chicken shell salt ramen. You can choose the regular style or the special style (the special style will have more meat). Both of us chose the regular style and the noodles were hand-kneaded. noodle
Extremely thick tonkotsu ramen $220
The ingredients of this bowl include 3 slices of pork barbecue, bean sprouts, some seaweed and chopped green onion, and a large amount of minced garlic (but the garlic flavor is not very strong); you can choose whether to add chili oil when ordering, the soup with chili oil will be about It’s about Xiaolai
The name of the product says it’s very thick. I’m not lying. The soup is indeed super thick. I think it goes well with hand-kneaded dough. However, it also tastes quite strong, so I need to drink some ice water from time to time.
Chicken and clam salt ramen $200
The ingredients for this bowl include 2 slices of chicken barbecued pork, 2 slices of pork barbecued pork, some seaweed and chopped green onion. The ingredients are also very simple. Both barbecued pork are tender and delicious.
The soup is like chicken soup that has been simmered for a long time. The salt flavor will vaguely emerge from it, which enhances the umami without overpowering the show. The soup is very delicious and you can finish the whole bowl without any problem.
There is unlimited free noodles (thin noodles) here, which is very Buddhist-friendly. People with big appetites don’t have to worry about not being full. However, it is recommended to add half a ball at a time. I was too greedy and added one ball, and I was so full that I couldn’t leave. move
Overall, if you only choose regular ramen, you can get a very full meal for around $200. It is a pretty good value choice for a ramen shop, and the soup of both types of ramen is great, plus the hand-kneaded noodles are very elastic. It is chewy and performs very well (thin noodles are also good). It is directly included in the list of ramen that can be recommended to friends.
ps. They also sell deluxe sea and land premium TKG here. Judging from the photo, it should be the super deluxe version of barbecued pork rice. In addition to the regular barbecued pork, there is also a piece of conger eel and salmon roe. However, I am not very hungry today, so I have no chance to eat this. Bowl
Thick, really thick
Normally I am not used to eating thick soup for ramen. This time I ordered extremely thick tonkotsu and felt that my blood vessels were going to be blocked... Let’s start with the decoration. The bean sprouts and scallions are very fragrant. It feels like they have been processed first before being put into the noodles. Unlike In some stores, they have been blanched and left indiscriminately; the noodles have a moderate hardness and can be considered chewy; the soup is really thick, so thick that the garlic flavor can be covered up.
I think the meat is a bit lacking. I usually eat one or two pieces of meat first before eating the noodles, and save the rest of the meat for the end. Generally speaking, I feel spiritually satisfied, but this time I only got one piece of meat, which was a bit... Disappointed🥺
Next time I want to try some chicken shell salt ramen and barbecued pork rice. The soup should be more suitable for normal tastes and it will feel great!
