It's time to explore curry shops again.
Zhuque Curry has always been on my curry bucket list,
but the location has been quite inconvenient,
so I haven't had a chance to visit.

This time, I happened to have an errand nearby,
so I made a special trip to try it out.
What sets it apart from other curry shops is
that there's absolutely no need to queue during meal times.
Maybe it’s because it was a weekday dinner,
so there weren't too many people.
I was lucky to arrive and get seated right away.

The curry menu is quite simple and straightforward,
divided into chicken, beef, or vegetable curry.
Other specialty curries include the cilantro butter avocado series,
and then you just choose mild or spicy.
It's a straightforward and no-fuss ordering method.

When ordering, if you want to try the spicy curry,
the staff will seriously warn you,
"This spicy curry is really hot!!!"
They hope you think it over before ordering 😂😂😂

Of course, I’d like to tell everyone,
if you’re not someone who can handle very spicy food
but want to enjoy the authentic taste of curry and curry rice,
I would really recommend sticking to the mild option 😂😂

Additionally, if you want dessert,
you can also add it to your order.
I personally think the desserts here are quite thoughtful and good!

The seating in the shop is indeed limited,
and it has an open kitchen space.
However, since there aren’t too many diners either,
you probably won’t have to wait too long to get seated.

Also, this curry shop offers free refills,
whether it's rice or sauce,
you can really eat until you’re full!
Considering that, I’d say the cost-performance ratio is quite high, right?

For those who love curry rice,
I think this place is definitely worth a visit.
Whether it’s their mild or spicy curry,
it’s truly worth trying.
Especially after tasting the spicy version,
going back to the mild version brings out a different flavor!

⭐️ Food section
On my first visit, my friend tempted me to try the spicy curry,
and the staff did confirm with me several times that I really wanted to order the spicy one.
But I thought, since it’s my first time, I should give it a try!

👉 Mixed beef and chicken curry, spicy $260
After I ordered the spicy curry rice,
after a few bites, I regretted choosing it
because the spiciness overwhelmed all the other flavors,
making it hard to appreciate the curry rice itself.
It just felt like I was eating spicy curry rice.

Since my friend who accompanied me ordered the mild version,
after I ate the spicy version and then went back to the mild,
the sweetness of the curry came through beautifully.
Maybe this is the saying that without comparison, there's no harm,
after eating the spicy rice,
going back to the sweet curry rice makes it taste even better 😂😂

As for the meat ingredients,
whether chicken or beef,
it's average quality, nothing particularly memorable or stunning.
The meat plays a good supporting role in the curry rice.

But anyway, my conclusion is
I will definitely visit again,
but I will order the mild curry rice to fully appreciate it.

After all, what I want is curry rice,
not spicy rice～～～

👉 Snowflake pudding $130
I must say their dessert is quite unique.
When the staff brought the dessert,
they held a cheese stick,
grating cheese powder over the pudding.
I think this part is more about the visual effect than the eating experience.
The pudding itself is quite nice,
but the use of cheese is generous and suitable for photos.

Plus, this snowflake pudding is really inexpensive,
so after eating super spicy curry,
I think it’s worth a try!

⭐️ Atmosphere section
The space inside the shop is quite large,
but since it's shared with other shops,
there's also a drink shop next door.

Thus, even though the space is big,
the number of seats is limited,
hopefully accommodating only six to seven groups of customers.
And the kitchen and dining area are connected,
so you can directly see how they prepare the curry.

Since the tables are quite close together,
you should also be mindful not to be disturbed by other diners next to you.
As a result, it can get a bit noisy during meals,
but it's still within an acceptable range 😂

This curry shop offers very straightforward dining and service.
However, the staff are very humorous and fun,
inquiring about the level of spiciness when you order.
If you want to order spicy curry,
they really confirm with you several times.
And they joke that you have to finish it! 😂😂

⭐️ Price section
Zhuque Curry’s curry items are quite affordable and budget-friendly,
and the portions are decent.
Moreover, you can also have unlimited refills on rice and sauce,
which I think makes the cost-performance ratio quite high!

⭐️ Overall,
because this time Dickson had the spicy curry,
it’s really hard to fully evaluate the authentic taste of the curry.
Therefore, I will definitely come back next time.
After all, I want to order a mild curry to really try the original flavor of the curry.

This time, since my friend ordered the mild version,
I had a couple of bites,
and for me, perhaps because after eating the spicy curry,
I was particularly impressed by the flavor of the sweet curry.
So, I have a good impression of their curry taste.

I personally recommend friends who love curry to give it a try.
If you want to challenge the spiciness, you can also give it a shot!

I am a curry lover and have admired the name Suzaku for a long time. This time I went to Ximending, a place I usually don’t visit, to visit the store. Conclusion: Not very loving.

We entered the store right after it opened at 11 o'clock. The store shares a seating area with another beverage store, and we sat at the bar. The curry comes in two flavors: sweet and spicy. The clerk at the spicy mouth always warned that it is super spicy! I only ate mildly spicy food, but was completely put off and ordered sweet beef.

All I can say is that the rice was cooked well👍but the curry sauce itself was quite disappointing. The taste was actually okay, but it lacked that layering. It has a very simple curry flavor. How can I put it? It's a bit like the Javanese curry from 7-11 but not spicy at all (so it loses the taste). What about meat? I don't know if it was just bad luck, but the beef itself tasted a bit fishy. I sometimes get this smell when I buy it from Costco. It’s not serious, but I don’t expect to get this smell in restaurants.

In addition, you can choose some spicy food after adding sauce. I ordered a little bit and it was really super spicy. I don’t understand why these two are so extreme. Maybe the slightly spicy sauce after mixing will be my favorite flavor. But such extreme two sides make me not love either one🥲

Finally, transportation is a big problem. I happened to have a direct bus and arrived there smoothly. But friends who were riding bikes were miserable. It took a record of 20 minutes to find a parking space. Even before I could eat, I was so annoyed by the search for a parking space.

The decoration and design packaging are very good, but the food itself is not my taste. Plus the traffic is really far away, so I don’t have much chance to try it again!

Conclusion: The aroma of grilled chicken is handled well, but the curry sauce is too lackluster. It just tastes like curry cubes and cooking packets.

I saw that Suzaku had good reviews on Google Maps, so I came here to try it, but I was super disappointed. There are only two kinds of curry sauce, spicy and sweet. For me, sweet is not spicy at all, but spicy is a bit too spicy. You can choose different rice and sauce. When refilling, I ordered sweet sauce for the first time, and when I refilled the sauce, I ordered half and half sweet and spicy~

This time I ordered the beef and chicken mixed curry-Ganko. When I took my mouth, I really felt that it was "overrated". What on earth is going on with this sauce? It really has no depth and tastes like curry cubes. I was disappointed because I had expectations. Super doubled! (After reading the interview, it said that I cooked it myself, so I really don’t think it’s a waste of time. Just use curry cubes and the taste will be the same)

Of course there are still advantages, the rice is cooked very well, the grains are distinct, the dryness and humidity are well grasped! The grilled chicken is okay, but the beef is not that tender. If you want it, just order the chicken.

(The sauce of Tiancai curry really beats Suzaku by 10 blocks...)

I didn’t have a chance to try the dinner-only one, but if the standard menu is like this, I probably won’t come back again. The pudding for dessert is also ordinary, not bad but just ordinary.

In addition, package A plus drinks costs NT$50 for a super small cup of oolong tea. It’s about the size of a small water cup. I personally think it’s a waste of money.

If you are really a curry lover, it is recommended not to eat it because you really won’t feel special; but if you don’t usually eat curry, you may think it’s pretty good.

Note: It is very difficult to find a parking space when riding a bicycle. The area is full during noon on weekdays.

It is located near Taipei Main Station, but the location of the store is super secret. It is not a place you can just pass by. It is inside 𝘼𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 of 𝘼𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙒𝘾𝙃 𝟭𝙁. Next to it, there is "Planté" which specializes in light food and drinks and "a reader" which is curated by books. "

After ordering, I had to wait about 15 minutes for the food to be served. Because their meat is made to order on site, it is a store that makes people feel attentive.

Comprehensive beef and chicken curry·Ganko $260
3 pieces of beef and 3 pieces of chicken. The aroma of beef and chicken after being grilled is very charming. The meat of both types of meat is soft and tender, and you can even taste the tendons.
Seasonal vegetables include zucchini, corn shoots, and okra, but I don’t eat the latter two. The store staff can help customize and replace them all with zucchini. However, it seems that zucchini is only boiled and not roasted, which is a pity; there are Add corn seedlings, it tastes weird, it should be more of a decoration

Chicken Curry·Spicy $240
This was ordered by a friend. Before ordering, the waiter reminded me that it is very spicy, very spicy. I took a bite of my friend's curry sauce and it was really spicy. People who only dare to eat a little spicy food should not try it easily~~
A friend said that he thinks the sweet taste is not spicy at all, but the spicy taste is too spicy. It would be great if there was a curry sauce with a middle level of spiciness.

You can add rice and sauce for free here. I think this price is quite cost-effective, but the original portion of rice is a lot, so I only have to add a little curry sauce.

Overall, I think the meat performance of Zhuque Curry is very good. The curry sauce is delicious but a bit ordinary. It has not beaten the top two curries in Taipei in my mind - Tong'an mature curry and Monga curry, but here There are some limited-time special items, such as the spicy creamy mullet roe curry, which is sold until the end of April. The name sounds delicious. I want to try it next time.

ps The small disadvantage of this store is that you will smell some oil smoke after eating it.
