♢ Suzaku CURRY SHOP ♢
Location: Located between Dongmen, Beimen, Taipei Main Station, and National Taiwan University Hospital Station, about a ten-minute walk from Taipei Main Station.
Dining Environment: Clean and bright; the other half seems to be a multifunctional space, well decorated.
Ordering Method: Order at the counter.
All curries come with seasonal vegetables, a half runny egg with Sichuan pepper, fried onion strips, and the main dish.
Dine-in customers can request extra sauce and rice once.
Chicken Curry · Mild $240
Seasonal vegetables: Baby corn, zucchini, small tomatoes, all quite good.
Sichuan pepper runny egg: Delicious! You'll want to order more.
Fried onion strips: Pairs very well with the curry.
Grilled chicken: Super tender, with none of the usual sous-vide flavor of chicken breast. The grilled aroma is fantastic.
Mild curry: Just like the curry from an ordinary Japanese curry shop, tasty, with no particularly special spice flavor.
Beef Curry · Mild $260
Similar to the chicken curry, the beef is also quite tender (sorry, lack of adjectives).
The dining time is only 50 minutes, and considering this time frame, I think the price is quite high. But it's delicious, so if you don't look at the price, you might come often.
Only after ordering did I realize there's a second floor, and the menu and business model seem different, so I might come back to try it out if there's a chance.
