Dickson's Fooday Mouthpiece Food Review #258
This time, I visited a Taiwanese-style izakaya. The variety of dishes inside is actually quite extensive, with many Taiwanese-flavored dishes.

Some dishes need to be pre-ordered in advance, such as the crispy chicken on the menu. When you make a reservation, the restaurant will ask if you want to pre-order this item, and it will be served directly to you at that time! If needed, remember to tell the owner in advance.

Also, there are some special dishes of the day listed on the blackboard. If you want to try the specials, remember to check the blackboard for today's offerings! You might find some unique items there.

Additionally, this place hosts all-you-can-drink events with different prices depending on the type of alcohol. So, if you want to enjoy beer with a group of friends and some dishes, this is a highly suitable place!

The overall atmosphere is a mix of Japanese and Taiwanese stir-fry styles. Unlike the typical noisy Taiwanese stir-fry restaurants, dining here feels like being in a quieter Japanese stir-fry restaurant. The dishes also reflect the stir-fry style! I believe it's a great place for Taiwanese to gather with friends after work to drink and chat.

Regarding the food, most of it is above average. There's nothing particularly outstanding or disappointing. However, their limited crispy chicken, which requires a pre-order, is highly recommended by me!

Indeed, it's worth booking in advance. As for other Japanese or different flavored dishes, they are quite standard.

As far as I remember, there aren't any particularly disappointing dishes. 😂😂😂

Therefore, I think this place is perfect for gatherings with family and friends. Or, if you're an office worker feeling down, it's a great spot for some drinks and delicious dishes after work to lift your spirits.

The all-you-can-drink option itself is already quite enticing!

⭐️ Food
Unfortunately, all grilled and steamed fish were unavailable that day, so I couldn't try their signature fresh seafood. I was looking forward to their grilled fish. However, the restaurant had already mentioned these were limited.

Limited items are indeed cruel. I'll have to try again next time!

👉 Limited Crispy Chicken $420 for half
As mentioned earlier, I really enjoyed the crispy chicken here. Although it looks like regular chicken from the outside, it lives up to its name. The skin is truly crispy, and the chicken is tender and flavorful.

Unfortunately, we only ordered half a chicken for six people, so the portion was a bit small. If you're with a larger group, I recommend getting a whole chicken.

However, the price is a bit high at $420 for half a chicken, so you might want to consider the portion size. It's worth trying if you've never had it before.

For those interested in this dish, don't forget to pre-order when booking!

👉 Squid Sausage $160
The sausage was fairly ordinary, similar to squid sausages from other places. It's above average but nothing special.

👉 Stir-fried Water Spinach with Bean Paste $180
We ordered stir-fried water spinach as the vegetable that day. It was quite standard, similar to what you'd find at other establishments.

👉 Crispy Fried Chicken Cartilage $180
The chicken cartilage is similar to what you'd find at other stir-fry places or izakayas, so nothing particularly memorable here. 😂😂😂

👉 Grand Banquet Sushi Platter $1160
This was listed on the blackboard. It's an enhanced version of various nigiri sushi. The variety is extensive, and I thought each piece tasted good. However, with our large group, there weren't enough pieces for everyone to try each type.

If you're a group of five to six, you might want to order two for enough portions.

Ordering two of these would raise the price, which is a bit of a dilemma. 😂😂😂

👉 Sashimi Deluxe Platter $660
When visiting a Japanese-style izakaya, I always like to order some sashimi. The sashimi here is relatively fresh, and the freshness is acceptable.

There's quite a variety, so I believe it's above average.

👉 Salmon Roll $380
Just your standard Japanese salmon sushi roll. I think the salmon roll here is well done. The salmon flavor is handled nicely, accompanied by the sushi roll and some bonito flakes on top, making it worth ordering!

👉 XO Seafood Fried Rice $220
Missing some carbs felt like something was lacking. Here, they offer fried rice or udon as main dishes. The seafood fried rice with XO sauce resembles a regular seafood egg fried rice, with additional seafood inside. The ingredients are ample for the price.

The ingredients used are substantial, and I personally highly recommend it due to the taste. It's a delicious seafood fried rice!

Feel free to consider it a staple carb dish here. Overall, the food's flavor and taste are above standard. Nothing overly impressive, but definitely worth a try, especially if you're drinking.

⭐️ Drinks
We didn't order the all-you-can-drink package that day, just two glasses of plum wine. The drinks here are similar to other places.

The all-you-can-drink option here is truly attractive. It includes soft drinks as well. For those planning to drink here, I recommend starting with the unlimited beers for better value!

⭐️ Atmosphere
The seating and furniture really give a Taiwanese stir-fry restaurant vibe. It's not very spacious, so tables are quite close, and you may be affected by noisy or drunk neighboring guests. 😂😂😂

We ate early, so we avoided such issues. The interior style combines a Japanese izakaya with a Taiwanese stir-fry restaurant. Therefore, the atmosphere is more suited for friends or colleagues. Not ideal for romantic dates.

⭐️ Service
This place is usually quite busy, but we were early. The owner had time to serve us and explain the menu.

I heard that if you arrive later, the staff will be busy and won't have much time for personalized service.

The owner is enthusiastic and actively introduces the menu options and special items on the blackboard. I found this quite nice!

⭐️ Price
The prices are reasonable, though some items are slightly pricier due to the ingredients or being limited-edition.

However, they are within an acceptable range, not overly exaggerated. Most dishes are priced typically.

The standout feature is the affordable all-you-can-drink option. For those who drink a lot, the beer package is particularly good value! Pair it with side dishes or other menu items, and it makes for a satisfying experience!

⭐️ Overall
I find this place to be a blend of stir-fry and izakaya, well-suited for after-work gatherings or friendly get-togethers. With the all-you-can-drink option, you can have a great time here.

The food is quite standard, fitting the stir-fry vibe well. If you're unsure where to drink after work and want some Taiwanese or Japanese cuisine, this place is ideal for gatherings!
