The amber ice brick milk has very excellent tea brick ice cubes, with a rich flavor of tea and milk, but the sweetness is on the higher side, making it suitable for those who enjoy sweet foods.
The interior decoration of the store is quaint and charming, attracting many customers to queue up. The atmosphere is lively and filled with a sense of history.
Due to the large crowd, the waiting time is longer, but the drinks recommended by the store are worth a try, and the service attitude is friendly.
Location: Central West District, Tainan City
Recently, a popular drink shop in Tainan
I used to really like the Herbal Tea from the Pharmacist
Today, I came to line up and check out this drink shop
As soon as I arrived, I had to wait in line
But there weren't many people because it's a weekday
🌟 Amber Ice Brick Milk
The first in line to wait
I saw people sharing that it seems a bit sweet
Though I was a bit hesitant, I decided to give it a try
After ordering, I received my drink 20 minutes later
The ice is made from tea bricks, which is excellent
It's very photogenic and cute
Once I took a sip, it was super sweet 😅
For someone who usually drinks either sugary or unsweetened beverages,
this drink is really overwhelming
However, the tea and milk flavors are both rich
It's not bad
But next time, I'll order a tea with adjustable sweetness
It's too sweet.
The old tea shop, Qingshan Tea Shop, is the only one of its kind without any branches. Established in 1982 in Tainan, it was the first tea shop on Anping Road, going through the widening of Hai'an Road and the renaming of Anping Road to Minsheng Road. Boss Sun of Qingshan Tea Shop has been working with tea for 43 years and has won numerous awards, including the Special Award for Tea Roasting in 1984. He has specialized in black tea research for decades, and the sugar is homemade brown sugar syrup, which can be adjusted for sweetness if needed (shop introduction).
There are many people in line, typically waiting from 30 minutes to an hour. There are many varieties, and it’s best to prioritize the shop’s recommendations. Pure tea types are generally acceptable, and the amber ice block milk tea is very delicious, featuring an ice block in the shape of a leaf on top, with a perfect golden ratio.
💠 Aoyama Tea Shop
Hi everyone! I'm Wolf Wolf 🪽
Today I visited the super popular drink shop "Aoyama Tea Shop" that has been trending on IG lately. However… this time, I have to honestly share that I felt a bit disappointed after drinking…
☕ Amber Ice Brick Milk ($75)
The whole cup contains small crushed ice, with a slightly sweet milk tea and tea brick combination.
It looks really beautiful, with amber-colored tea bricks floating in it, creating a fantastic visual effect!
But when I actually drank it… the tea aroma is strong at first, but later on the taste becomes weak, and overall it lacks depth. By the end, it completely loses its essence… leaving just a lot of crushed ice.
🍋 Amber Lemonade ($65)
This also has fixed small crushed ice with slightly sweet lemonade, primarily focusing on the balance of sour and sweet flavors.
Upon the first sip, there is indeed a refreshing lemon aroma; it is sour, and it starts with some sweetness, but afterwards, there isn’t a memorable point.
Plus, with a lot of crushed ice, by the end there’s just crushed ice left…
I genuinely feel that this shop might be a bit overrated –
the prices are on the high side, the taste is average, and the flavors don't live up to the visual expectations.
Out of 5 points, I can only give 2 points, feeling that it’s a trendy drink overly hyped by influencers.
If you like light beverages and care about appearance, you might enjoy it.
But if you, like me, value the depth of tea aroma and layers of taste,
you might find yourself thinking: Huh? Is that it?
