This place is my favorite after-work hangout in Taipei, and I visit it most often📍 It’s open from evening till dawn.
(If you want to come alone, you need not worry at all; there are many solo-friendly low bar seats. I've often seen people dining alone, which might allow you to enjoy the night even more 😝)
This chain has nine locations in Taipei, and I’m at the first one, the Xinyi branch🤣. Maybe when you encounter a jerk, you could come here to unwind?

Both the atmosphere and menu follow a Taiwanese style, and the retro decor feels very local. Here, you can order items like a braised platter, snacks to pair with drinks, and even large intestine wrapped with small intestine and salty pork.
Main dishes include dumplings, ramen, dry noodles, etc.
Of course, they also have the essential alcoholic beverages; there’s a whole wall of drinks, and it’s hard to find something you won’t want to drink—beer, sake, and specialty cocktails are all available.

I’ve been here several times and ordered different items, but I’ve never been disappointed!
I especially recommend the spicy duck blood tofu, braised platter, crispy pig blood cake, and what I ordered this time👇🏻
(The cocktails are all good, especially the fruity ones, which have a unique and approachable taste, perfectly balancing the feeling of mild inebriation, but it’s a bit unfortunate that they don’t frequently introduce new items.)

✐ Miso Udon Soup Noodles $160
· This is perfect whether you want a light bite or something to accompany your drinks! The portion is about 70-80% filling for women, with the right saltiness and a chewy texture. It would feel great to sip on a bowl of this in winter.

✐ Sweet Potato Congee $50
· I thought it was funny that I came here to eat congee… but surprisingly, it’s really delicious! The sweet potato is cooked to a creamy consistency, with sugar syrup on top, so even ordering just the congee doesn’t feel boring. If you want something more substantial, you can add some braised items to go with it~
The end of the month is here, and this bowl of congee is enough to satisfy...
