Dickson's Fooday Mouthpiece Review #279
This time I visited a ramen shop near Zhongshan Station.
There are many ramen shops on my Google Maps bucket list waiting to be discovered, and there are indeed quite a few ramen shops around Zhongshan Station area. The competition is really intense! In one alley, there might be two or three new ramen shops competing with each other. But even with so many ramen shops, almost every one still requires you to wait in line to get in. It seems that people in Taiwan have become very accustomed to the waiting culture for ramen.
Longlin, the ramen shop I visited, focuses on seafood options, including scallops, sea urchin, salmon roe, and shrimp. It's a pretty unique type of ramen! Therefore, I have always wanted to find the opportunity to visit.
Because I visited on a weekend dinner time and did not queue before the shop opened, I had to wait for a while to get in. However, compared to other ramen shops, the waiting time here wasn’t too long. I think I waited about 20 minutes on that day before getting seated! It's a fairly acceptable waiting time.
The dining area inside the shop is quite spacious, and they also use a self-service ordering machine. The types of ramen are numerous, mostly topped with seafood ingredients. If you enjoy seafood like scallops and salmon roe, I think this ramen shop would be one of your favorites!
Personally, I think this ramen is quite good, and I would definitely come back for another visit!

⭐️Food Section
👉 Cloud Sea Urchin Chicken Broth Ramen $390
This chicken broth ramen, I personally added some extra toppings, including chashu and more salmon roe, along with an additional scallop 😂😂😂. From the picture, you can see it looks quite extravagant—it's almost an explosion of flavors!
I personally really like the broth of this chicken ramen, and the noodles are thin, with a perfect texture! So in terms of the ramen, I definitely recommend it. The ramen is topped with many seafood ingredients like salmon roe, and overall I think the flavor is fantastic.
As for the other toppings, including chashu and scallops, the chashu tastes just like the regular chashu you’d expect—pretty good. The scallops are somewhat ordinary, just your typical sashimi-grade scallops.
👉 Deluxe Chashu Rice $280
I highly recommend this if you love seafood dishes, especially if you really enjoy salmon roe. This Deluxe Chashu Rice is a must-order. From the picture, you can see the portion is quite generous—the salmon roe is almost overflowing!
Besides the salmon roe, the chashu rice itself is also very delicious, and the portion is quite sizable, which is worth the price. I can highly recommend this!
👉 Fried Chicken Karaage $120
In terms of fried items, I feel it’s somewhat ordinary. The fried chicken karaage is pretty standard—nothing particularly impressive about it, just a regular fried item to accompany the meal.
Of course, if you still feel hungry after the ramen and chashu rice, you can always add some fried items to share!
So, overall, I think the ramen here is quite good, and since there are various ramen options, I will try different ramen during my next visit.
I highly recommend the Deluxe Chashu Rice, so overall, I feel this ramen shop is definitely worth another visit!
⭐️Atmosphere Section
Compared to other traditional ramen shops, the space in this shop is quite spacious, with plenty of seating. Even when I was dining, there were many empty tables available.
I think the shorter waiting time can be attributed to this spaciousness. Besides the basic bar seating, there are also tables available for two or four people.
The lighting in the shop is bright and organized, and there is ample width in the walkways, making the overall dining experience quite comfortable!
⭐️Service Section
Like other ramen shops, this one uses a self-service ordering machine. After ordering, you just hand the order slip to the staff and wait for your ramen to be served.
So, in terms of service, it's similar to other ramen shops. However, the staff here are slightly more enthusiastic; if you have any questions, you can easily ask them and they'll quickly assist you.
I think the service is pretty good!
⭐️Price Section
Probably because the types of ramen are more unique and the ingredients special, the seafood options tend to have a higher price point, making the overall ramen prices slightly higher than regular ramen shops. However, given the seafood focus, I think this is understandable and quite normal.
You won’t feel it's too expensive!
⭐️Overall
This ramen shop offers quite unique ramen varieties, including a wide range of seafood options featuring plenty of salmon roe and other seafood items. Moreover, the dining atmosphere is pretty comfortable.
It's a ramen shop I will definitely visit again, and the waiting time isn’t excessively long. Considering all these factors, I highly recommend this ramen shop!
If you're a ramen lover, you must come and give it a try!
