The shrimp fried rice and milkfish soup at this restaurant are both very delicious. The shrimp are large and have a nice snap, the fried rice is fragrant, and the fish soup is warming without any fishy taste. The menu is diverse, with options for beef and lamb as well, offering great value for money.
The store has a nostalgic atmosphere of Taiwan, and the open space makes people feel comfortable. Although there aren't many seats, there's no need to wait on weekday afternoons, making it suitable for casual dining.
The staff are friendly and can communicate in English, making foreign guests feel welcomed. The owner is responsible for all the business operations and has a friendly service attitude.
A Taiwanese restaurant located on Huayin Street near Taipei Station!
It has a retro atmosphere that can be found anywhere in Taiwan, but it was very delicious! 🤤
【Atmosphere of the restaurant】★★★★ 4
There are no doors at the entrance, giving it an open and spacious feel. Although there aren't many seats, when I went around 1 PM on a weekday, there were few customers, so there was no need to wait!
The staff immediately recognized I was a foreigner but kindly spoke to me in English. 🙆🏻♀️ It’s a retro restaurant that exudes a local Taiwanese vibe!

Shrimp Fried Rice
The shrimp were large and firm!! They had an amazing texture and were very delicious! The fried rice was also fluffy and fragrant, which whetted my appetite!
There is a wide variety of meats like beef and lamb, and I’m very curious about the yakisoba and other dishes as well!
Milkfish Soup
Milkfish is something you don't get to eat in Japan, but it was very tasty with no strong smell, and the firm texture was wonderful! The ginger-infused soup kept me warm.✨
There’s also a soup with milkfish skin!
The cost performance is excellent, and I highly recommend it!
It’s easily accessible, making it great for tourists as well! 👍
A small shop located in an alley near Taipei Main Station and near Taiyuan Road and Chang'an West Road. It sells rice, noodles and soup. I was attracted to it when I saw that my favorite fried rice was sold.
The boss seems to be Brother Kun himself. He greets you cordially as soon as you walk in. He comes to dine at 6pm on weekdays and there are many customers both for dine-in and take-out.
After ordering the meal, I heard the sound of the boss's big pot quickly colliding with the wok, and I could smell the aroma, which made me look forward to the taste of the fried rice!
Fried rice with shredded pork $80
It was my first time here, so I chose the most basic fried rice with shredded pork. I ordered it slightly spicy. Let me start with my conclusion: it’s oily but delicious!
The fried rice and the eggs inside are full of pot smell and very fragrant! It's salty enough, the kind of fried rice I like, but it's a little oily, so people who eat lighter food may find it a bit strong. It's slightly spicy, but it's quite spicy, maybe because of the spiciness outside~
In addition to shredded pork and eggs, there are also some onions and tri-colored beans (carrots, corn, green beans) in the fried rice. There are very few tri-colored beans and they are just for decoration. Customers who have objections to the tri-colored beans can give him one Chance
Tribute ball soup $35
There are 2 tribute balls in total, they are quite big, and they actually contain green vegetables, which is quite a surprise~
The Gong Wan tastes just like Gong Wan, which is quite satisfactory. However, if you order a bowl of soup and have some green vegetables, the price is okay. Thank you!
Overall, the price of fried rice is quite cheap considering the current prices in Taipei, and it tastes very good. I will definitely come back!
They also sell tomato fried rice and mutton fried noodles here. They are both items that I am very interested in. I will give them a try next time~
It’s a small shop tucked away in an alley, not too far from Taipei Main Station. It has fried noodles, fried rice, risotto, side dishes or soup to choose from. It’s very cheap for Taipei’s prices, and the portions are enough to fill you up. Yes, the most important thing is that it is delicious. This time I had mutton risotto, and my friend who came with me ordered shrimp fried rice and fried vegetables. We both thought it was delicious.
