The food at Jilmei gives you a feeling reminiscent of student eateries you often find near universities during your college days. The owner likes to post various sports news and posters from the Apple Daily on the walls across different periods, along with various slogans reminding customers of specials for the day or important notices to pay attention to.
The main offerings in the restaurant are fried rice, fried noodles, and pot-stewed noodles, and they provide free osmanthus-flavored red tea for drinking. Personally, I find the fried rice's texture to be average, but it’s a generous portion that fills you up, which is why I say it has a strong student vibe. Additionally, the clam soup is very fresh and sweet; while there aren't many clams, they are generally large and delicious, offering good value for money.👌
