"As an eel pasta lover, it makes sense to eat eel pasta two days in a row."
As a student in Tainan, I eat all the time when I return to Tainan
The 12th stop of Tainan’s 400-year food and drink journey - Ba San Pasta
Basan Pasta is located on Minzu Road. In addition to eel pasta, it also sells flower pasta, as well as a variety of sesame oil offal series, such as pig heart, pork liver, kidney, etc.
There are seats both indoors and outdoors. The weather was so hot. I originally planned to go inside to enjoy the healing effects of the air-conditioning. Unexpectedly, the boss said, "It's cooler if you sit outside." It turns out there is no air-conditioning inside. 🥲
Stir-fried eel pasta $120
When it was served, I didn’t notice that the pasta was different from the Tainan eel pasta I’m used to eating. As soon as I ate it, I realized that the pasta they use at home is not the round pasta of the pot roast pasta, but another kind that is thinner and flatter. A type of pasta with a more obvious pink texture
There are 5 pieces of eel in total. Their eel is relatively small, but the fried onions and cabbage are quite delicious. The fried onions and cabbage are also very fragrant. Give it a try!
Their stir-fried eel pasta is also on the sweet side like Fusheng Snacks. Although I personally prefer saltier stir-fried eel pasta (such as Ajiang), because Basan’s pasta itself has added sugar. Stir-fry the spicy residue, it won't be too spicy, but it will enhance the taste. The more you eat, the more you eat it.
The small disadvantage is that the pasta is fried in oil, and you will want to wipe your mouth after almost every bite.
Overall, although it is still not in the top three of my favorite eel pasta restaurants in Tainan (currently Ah Jiang, Fulai, and Chengbian Zhenwei are still on the throne), I will be willing to visit again in the future, and there is no need to queue. Some points~ (Every time I visit Ajiang, I queue until I starve to death)
