Futai Third Generation is a restaurant where I eat every week.
Visit around 12:30 on weekdays. The first and second floors of the store are fully occupied, so please wait for a while before you can be seated. There are about 5 seats for two people on the first floor. The second floor is wider and can accommodate approximately eight groups of four-person families.
This time we ordered the following dishes.
Stir-fried pork rice: Futai has its own special taste, using semi-fatty parts for a stronger aroma. The sauce is moderately salty and sweet, with a strong shallot flavor. Garnished with cilantro. Personally like it very much.
Side dishes: Today it’s cabbage and spinach. The saltiness is moderate, the dishes are fresh and sweet but not overly seasoned. The frying method is slightly different every day.
Local fish: It is also a dish that is not overly seasoned and presents a complete original flavor. Fresh and without fishy smell, the meat is soft and tender. Really excellent.
Scrambled eggs with shrimps: The shrimps are coated in flour and stir-fried with eggs. The egg flavor is very rich. It is a more traditional approach.
Fish skin and fish ball soup: The fish skin is fresh and the fish scales are removed very cleanly. It is very tender and smooth. As for the meatballs, there are fish balls, shrimp balls and ordinary fish balls. In fact, there is no obvious difference in taste. The soup is seasoned with pepper and ginger. Fresh, sweet and delicious.
The ingredients are fresh, the store is clean, the price is reasonable, and the food is delicious. Even in the Central and Western District, we are happy to go there, every week.
Fu Tai Dining Table is a well-known Chinese restaurant in Tainan that started its business. Today’s visitor is the third generation of Fu Tai Restaurant opened by his son and daughter. The dry-fried local kingfish chosen today is priced by weight (90 yuan). It has no earthy taste and will not be greasy; the fish skin soup The fish skin is large and locks in the freshness and sweetness of the fish meat, so it doesn’t taste too pink.
