"Don't be a fool, be a villain!" The shop assistants' slogans one after another are exactly the characteristics of this pickled fish restaurant.

This time we came to the Ximen Diaomin Pickled Fish branch. Since it had just opened for more than a month, the lobby on the first floor was still crowded. We took a number and waited in the lobby for more than half an hour before we were seated.

The clerk guided us to the dining area on the second floor. After briefly introducing the meals and side dishes, we were given a reference before ordering. The special thing about this restaurant is that there are only two kinds of main meals, the pickled fish with adjustable spiciness and the non-spicy tomato fish. The rest are the ingredients of the main meal and the side dishes that can be adjusted to taste, because the ingredients are the same as those of the main meal. The main meal is heated and served together, so it can only be ordered with the main meal for the first time, and additional orders cannot be made.

After ordering, the clerk indicated that we could go to the tea area next to us and make our own tea to go with the meal. The store provides cute big cups, you can fill it with roselle flowers and tangerine peel according to your preference, and then add a wave of hot water to make it a refreshing and appetizing tea.

While tasting the tea, side dishes were also served. This time I had cold cucumbers and duck blood. The cold cucumbers were sour, spicy and crispy, which was an appetizer. The duck blood had a thick texture and the slightly spicy marinade was also very fragrant.
Maybe because we ate too fast, it took a while after the side dishes were finished before the main meal of pickled fish was served.

The sour and spicy sauerkraut fish fillet pot is sprinkled with fresh chrysanthemum petals. Although there are as many dried chili peppers as common Sichuan cuisine, the fish fillet is tender and smooth, the sauerkraut is sour, sweet and crispy, and there is also a handful of broad winter noodles inside to absorb the soup. , I think it’s delicious and there’s nothing to be picky about, and the portion is generous.
Although both of us had large appetites, we ended up having to take away the meal. The attitude of the store clerk was also very good (although they were very busy). Whether we added soup halfway through the meal or asked them to take away the meal before checking out, the service attitude was very good. , the meal is packed and reheated after taking it home, and it is still delicious!

It’s a restaurant that’s perfect for a few friends to get together and try something new. Although it may be a temporary trend, I recommend trying it out at least once to see how delicious it is!
