The combination of pasta, corn, and white sauce is satisfying, and the aroma of the three-cheese flatbread is enticing, with a remarkable texture. The carrot cake is not overly sweet and has a rich taste. The meal options are abundant, making it suitable for sharing among many people.
The interior decoration of the store is cute, creating a comfortable dining atmosphere. There aren't many people on weekday afternoons, and the spacing between seats is just right.
During weekday afternoons, there are not many diners, the food is served quickly, and the service efficiency is high.
This day happened to coincide with my sister and I both having a day off at home, so we thought we’d go out for a little stroll.
Having not yet had lunch, the two of us walked to the first floor of Xindian Yulon City. My sister suddenly said she wanted to eat at this place (she mentioned that she had wanted to come here before but gave up because it was too crowded on weekends). Now that it was neither peak dining time nor a weekend, we were hopeful we could finally eat here, so we happily took a seat.
I originally thought it was a restaurant I had never been to, but once we sat down and looked at the menu, a memory suddenly surfaced. This restaurant also has a location in the East District! (It’s quite a large place. The last time I went to the East District location, even on a weekday afternoon, it was super crowded.)
Miacucina has a pretty rich selection of dishes, many of which have a lot of vegetarian options that I really like. (I was really surprised when my sister said she wanted to eat here because she's usually someone who doesn’t like vegetables at all and always has to have meat! A friend who can't enjoy a meal without meat!)
I remember eating their pizza at the East District location before and it was pretty good. My sister wasn’t really keen on trying it, but I recommended it to her, saying, "Look, the table next to us is having pizza!" So we decided to order it and give it a try.
In the end, based on my recommendation, we ordered pasta, a pizza, and a cake to share!
Baked corn bacon smoked cheese pasta: The sweetness of the corn combined with the white sauce base really enhances the richness of this dish. However, I do think their portion sizes are quite generous, so I recommend ordering different dishes to share instead of having one main dish each (you'll definitely feel too full!). This dish definitely needs to be eaten hot and quickly; we ate too slowly, and it also became a bit cold towards the end, which made it feel a bit heavy.
Three cheese baked tomato and arugula pizza: I personally really like thin crust pizza, and when this one arrived at our table, the aroma was delightful. It had a rich flavor, but the arugula gave it a refreshing texture, so you don’t have to worry about the cheese being too overwhelming. I was initially worried we wouldn’t be able to finish it, but we ended up finishing the pizza even faster than the pasta!
American carrot cake: I had a slight hesitation about ordering this because I thought, "Are you serious about ordering carrot cake?" Although I don’t dislike carrots, I’ve never considered eating a carrot cake! When it arrived, I bravely took the first bite: it didn’t taste like carrots at all! The cream paired with it was also light and not overly sweet, and the nuts added layers to the texture and richness. It was really delicious! (Don’t let the name scare you!)
Dining on a weekday afternoon, I felt that the place wasn’t too crowded, the food came out quite quickly, and the distance between seats was just right (not too cramped).
Next time I have a day off, I can come back and try other dishes!
The restaurant is located on the first floor of Yulong City, and the decor is quite cute. This time I ordered:
Grilled corn, bacon, and smoked cheese pasta: The corn is very sweet and pairs well with the white sauce, which is one of my favorite pasta flavors. The only downside is that it can be a bit rich, so it's better to share.
Three cheese roasted tomato and arugula flatbread: This was recommended by a companion, and I saw it on another table, so I ordered it. It smells great and has a rich flavor. Taking a bite was a delightful surprise; it's quite delicious.
American carrot cake: The name sounds a bit scary, but it doesn’t taste like carrots. It’s not dry when eaten with the cream, and there are nuts in the middle that add texture.
Overall, the dining experience was good. I initially felt resistant when I heard it was a vegetarian restaurant, but I found it quite tasty and would like to come back to try other dishes next time.
