AI Spot Summary

The food at this Japanese restaurant is fresh and delicious, especially recommended are the Taiwanese rice bowl and the seared flounder fin bowl. The sashimi and seared scallop chawanmushi are also amazing.

The store is small and intricate, but it can feel uncomfortable in cold weather due to the lack of heating.

The service staff is attentive and friendly, proactively introducing the dishes and providing a self-serve miso soup, which feels very thoughtful.

📍Zhongzheng District, Taipei City (Guting MRT Station)
A small and exquisite Japanese restaurant 🇯🇵🍣

This place has been on my Fooday wishlist for a long time 😆 Reservations on weekends are necessary because many walk-ins that day find there are no available seats.

I visited on a super cold day during a cold wave, and I hesitate to recommend it because the restaurant has no heating, and the large glass windows made the indoor environment extremely cold 🥶

🥘
Order items:
🐟 Taiwanese Donburi ($480):
The sashimi don seems to be the restaurant's signature dish, and I wanted to try it despite the cold 😆

The fish used in this dish is all sourced from Taiwan, featuring sweet shrimp, abalone, octopus, five pieces of sashimi, and mullet roe.

My favorite was the red fish sashimi (I guess it's red snapper?), and I also really liked the mullet roe, which is quite rare in rice bowls! It has a very high saltiness.

🐠 Grilled Flounder Fin Donburi ($480):
Both types of fish were excellent 🥰
The salmon, while seared, still retained a sweet and fresh taste close to that of raw fish.

All donburi comes with soup, and that day's was a deep-colored cuttlefish miso soup. It had a nice seafood flavor!

🥚 Grilled Scallop Chawanmushi ($160):
I urgently needed something hot that day, so I ordered this 😆
To my surprise, it was incredibly impressive!

The grilled scallop was very tender, and the texture of the chawanmushi was one of the finest I’ve ever had. Plus, the egg custard was infused with the flavor of scallops, and at the bottom, I found shredded scallops.

🍄
Would I visit again? Yes!
The portions are not large, but all the ingredients are very fresh and delicious. Next time, I’ll choose a day that’s not so cold to come back 🤣

Dickson's Fooday Review #214

This time we are visiting a Japanese restaurant located near the Taipower Building and Guting Station. The name of the restaurant is also quite unique—it’s called "Pushing It!" Just how much are they pushing it?

This Japanese restaurant is relatively new; if I remember correctly, it opened just a little over a year ago.

The restaurant mainly serves a variety of sashimi, donburi (rice bowls), and set meals, etc. The menu is quite typical of a Japanese restaurant. However, what's special here is that they also offer some cocktails for customers to enjoy.

The overall ambiance of the restaurant is quite nice, and you can tell that the decor is relatively modern.

As for the food, the donburi is delicious, and the ingredients provided are very fresh. The portion sizes are generous, with a rich variety.

On the menu, they also have a liquor list. Besides the usual sake and beer commonly found in Japanese restaurants, there are also some unique cocktails available here.

The dining environment is very pleasant. If you live nearby and love Japanese cuisine, you definitely should come for a visit!

⭐️Food section:
👉 Deluxe seafood donburi $680
👉 Grilled salmon and flounder fin donburi $480

Coming here, of course, you must try their donburi! I ordered a deluxe seafood donburi, and as you can see from the photo above, the ingredients are indeed quite luxurious! It includes a variety of seafood, such as scallops, shrimp, abalone, and several kinds of sashimi—everything looks quite abundant!

The taste is also fantastic, with the sashimi and seafood being very fresh. Overall, it has a sweet and refreshing flavor.

The other donburi I ordered features grilled items, which are also well-prepared. The seafood is not charred or overcooked from grilling.

The rice portion in their donburi isn't too large either, making it just right.

Overall, I think both bowls were quite good. After finishing, I didn't feel overly stuffed, and the seafood was fresh and delightful!

⭐️Drink section:
Since the restaurant's menu includes a beverage list, I decided to try a specialty craft beer that day.
👉 Spring God Arrives $250
You can tell from the name of this cocktail that it’s quite refreshing. And indeed, when we drank it, we were very impressed; the beer has a very light alcoholic taste and is extremely refreshing and comfortable—almost like drinking a bubbly cocktail.

Thus, their drinks are something we really love!

⭐️Atmosphere section:
The restaurant seems to be quite newly opened, so overall, the decor feels very fresh. From the outside, you can see it has a good design sense.

The entire restaurant uses transparent glass as its outer decor, allowing you to see the dining situation inside from outside. However, this makes it a bit awkward because it feels overly transparent. 🤣🤣🤣

The interior space, although not exceptionally large, has a decent number of seats.

The decor and ambiance inside are quite elegant as well, making the dining experience pleasant!

⭐️Service section:
The staff at the restaurant is also quite attentive and meticulous. When the dishes are served, they will briefly introduce the contents and dining methods of the dishes. The miso soup is self-serve, so once you order your dishes, you can help yourself.

⭐️Price section:
For a Japanese donburi restaurant in central Taipei, I think its pricing is quite reasonable. If you're not going straight for the deluxe seafood donburi, the prices are comparable to other chain Japanese donburi places outside.

However, the overall quality of the dishes and dining experience is much better, making me feel that the pricing is quite good!

⭐️Location section:
As for the location, it’s somewhat awkward since it's situated between two MRT stations. It takes about a 5 to 10-minute walk from the MRT station, so it’s not a significant issue.

Additionally, there are other bus stops nearby, and the area is close to the Gongguan shopping district and the Shida Night Market, making it relatively convenient.

Thus, I think the location is quite nice, perfect for a lunch or dinner after wandering around nearby shopping districts!

Of course, it’s also great for a walk or shopping afterward!

⭐️Overall:
This Japanese restaurant is a very new little place. I think the overall dining quality and the flavor of the dishes are quite good, and the prices are reasonable, making it very suitable for a casual weekday dinner or lunch!

If you just happen to live nearby, you should really come over to try it. If you're strolling around Gongguan or near Shida, you can definitely come here to check it out!

Have you finally revealed your true nature?
Are you finally going to force me into it?
I just knew you were that type of person. 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

If it’s not enough pushing, I won’t accept it.

You see,

didn't you uncover some secrets?
Wanting to be pushed—could she be a bit of a submissive?

Regardless,
it seems like the distance between you and her has gotten just a bit closer. 😍😍😍
