The desserts in the store, such as grilled grass jelly, tofu pudding, and red bean milk shaved ice, have a traditional flavor and moderate sweetness. The texture of the grilled grass jelly can be adjusted according to temperature, the tofu pudding has various toppings, and the red bean milk shaved ice is substantial and nostalgic.
The store offers dine-in seating and a variety of dessert options, showcasing the atmosphere of a traditional local dessert shop.
After visiting a must-try local dessert shop, the weather has turned cold, so this time I got takeout grass jelly (it comes with peanuts and a spoon, and the plastic bag donation is one dollar). It's best to eat it while it's hot, like grass jelly tea, but if you want it thicker, you can wait until it cools a bit to eat. The sweetness is just right, and I really like it. In the summer, I choose takeout soy milk and tofu pudding (unsweetened) with three types of toppings: tapioca (original and brown sugar) and mixed balls (sweet potato balls and taro balls can also be ordered separately). The red beans are slightly sweet and pair well with the unsweetened tofu pudding; I personally feel the sweetness is just right, not overly sweet. You can add ice or some syrup if you like. I find traditional tofu pudding a bit sweet for my taste, so when dining in, I prefer the shaved ice, especially the red bean milk ice at 65 dollars, which is a very reasonable price now. The taste is just like the traditional flavors from my childhood, perfectly balanced.
