The salt-flavored ramen broth is light and smooth, paired with lightly seared chicken chashu and pork chashu. The noodles are slightly firm, offering a stable overall texture. The soy sauce ramen broth is rich and layered, with extremely thin and chewy noodles, ideal for those who enjoy a springy texture.
The space inside the store is small with limited seating. The environment is clean and comfortable, suitable for enjoying a meal, with a quiet atmosphere.
The restaurant is run by two staff members and has good service efficiency. Although it only accepts cash, bank transfers are supported. There aren't many seats inside, so it's recommended to come early to line up.
📍Beitou Station, Taipei
The location is very close to the MRT station, about a one-minute walk from Beitou Station. You need to register on the waiting list at the entrance and wait to be seated. The number of seats inside is limited, but the place is clean and comfortable.
Dishes 🍜
Soy Sauce Ramen / Licheng Noodles / 195 TWD:
Licheng's noodles are extremely thin, with a firm and chewy texture. It costs an additional 15 TWD. Paired with the rich soy sauce broth, it has a very layered flavor. However, the downside is that if you're wearing traditional braces, the thin noodles might get stuck in them🤣.
Salt Ramen / Haoyi Noodles / 160 TWD:
Haoyi's noodles are also good and are the basic option without an additional charge. Compared to the rich flavor of soy sauce, the salt flavor is milder and not as strong, evoking a sense of light and refreshing chicken soup. You can easily finish a whole bowl of soup without feeling too heavy.
Overall, considering the price of these dishes, it's a ramen with a very high cost-performance ratio. If there's not a long wait, you'd want to visit often.

Long queue | A great choice for affordable and consistently quality ramen 🍜
Changsheng Salt Ramen, the first location in Taipei at Tianmu has opened a branch near Beitou Station, and it's a ramen shop I've returned to many times!

Order Items
🧂 Salt Ramen ($160):
This is the flavor I always order when I come 🤤. The light broth is smooth and not overly salty, paired with slightly charred chicken chashu and pork chashu, as well as noodles that still have a bit of firmness.
However, this time the flavor felt a bit weak by the end, reminiscent of a simple noodle soup base 😆.
🥢 Soy Sauce Ramen ($180):
I ordered this for the first time! The first sip of the broth was impressive!
The soy sauce has a smooth texture, with a hint of seafood aroma. By the end, I found it a bit salty, so it's not suitable to finish the soup.
Recently, there are two types of noodles to choose from, with one on display before it is cooked. One type requires an additional charge of 15 TWD. This time, I ordered both types. Besides the cooked one being thinner and a bit harder when it was served, the difference in texture wasn't very noticeable.
🍄
Will I return: Yes!
The seating inside is limited, so next time I plan to come and line up right when they open!

Note:
🔸 Cash only 💰 (they also accept bank transfers, but it seems to take longer for other customers to process it).
"I recently happened to come to the big city of Taipei for a business trip, and I wanted to try the ramen that I haven’t had in a long time." by Younger Brother
<About the Meal 🥣>
This time I ordered the salt ramen for the first time, which can be divided into three parts: noodles, broth, and meat.
Firstly, the noodles were a bit hard but had a nice chewiness. The broth was a bit salty for me, but when paired with the onions they provided, it added a different sweetness (I hope they can add more next time🫨). The meat was my favorite; the chicken was very tender and had a nice char on top which was truly amazing.
I hope I can customize my noodles in the future to satisfy my cravings.
<About the Staff 👨🍳>
The small shop is run by just two people: one person is busy coming in and out (handling payments and greeting customers outside), while the other is focused on preparing the meals.
<About the Environment 🐾>
The restaurant is quite small and a bit cramped, but the dining atmosphere is great and super quiet with only a little chatting. The cleanliness of the environment is also good as I didn’t see any dirt, but a small downside is that you can only queue in person and cannot make reservations over the phone🫨.
