The menu design is bright and cheerful, with appetizers like crispy basil fish and main dishes such as sous-vide cherry duck leg with spicy asparagus flat noodles, all of which are delightful, and the overall taste is excellent.
The restaurant is located in a popular shopping district, and the environment is not as crowded as Lalaport, making it suitable for family gatherings.
Reservations are available, but there are dining time limits. The service is attentive and suitable for family gatherings.
This was my first dining experience at an Italian restaurant, and I was very satisfied. For family gatherings, it's essential to find a restaurant like this in Nangang Mitsukoshi that takes reservations. However, there is a dining time limit, which I can understand. This shopping area is quite popular, but it isn't as crowded as LaLaPort, allowing us to sit down comfortably and enjoy our meal.
The menu design is straightforward, and you can upgrade to the Naples set meal which includes additional options for appetizers, salad/soup, dessert, and drinks.
We ordered several appetizers that were delicious and opened up our taste buds. Adding sauces enhanced the flavor even more. Unfortunately, the popular garlic sauce was sold out, so we couldn't order dishes that required it, like the grilled chicken wings.
(1) Crispy basil fish with green mustard sauce: We were thrilled to find that this dish was still available. Fish has always been a favorite of ours. This was the first appetizer served, and it was finished off quickly.
(2) Baked seasonal vegetables with focaccia.
(3) Smoked duck breast with honey mustard sauce.
(4) Grilled marinated pork with garlic sweet vinegar sauce.
Actually, we were already half full after finishing the appetizers. We also finished the soup/salad. I wondered if we could still manage the main course.
No need to doubt. The appetizers were beautiful, and the main course was even better.
(5) Sous vide cherry duck leg with spicy asparagus flat noodles: This was my selection, and it looked excellent. The duck was tender, the asparagus was crunchy, with a hint of spiciness that blended well with the flat noodles, surprisingly delicious.
(6) Spanish seafood paella.
(7) Squid ink flat noodles with abalone and calamari.
(8) Pesto wild vegetable round noodles.
(9) Hawaiian pizza.
In the end, we added drinks and dessert. As we chatted over our meal, we unknowingly finished everything on our plates.
It was truly a satisfying lunch.
We'll definitely plan to come back and try more next time.

Below are the items ordered and their prices 🔻
👉🏼 Happy Couple Set Meal $1,020
🔺 Angus Beef Spicy Hand Roll
Three pieces (not suited for the couple set), the spicy sauce tastes like Korean kimchi, and the beef is delicious, with lettuce underneath.
🔺 Truffle Potato Focaccia 👍🏼
Four pieces, I really love focaccia; it's soft and chewy with a great bread flavor ☺️ The mashed potatoes are well-seasoned, topped with a baked egg that’s supposed to be soft-boiled but is actually fully cooked 🤔.
🔺 Cheese Onion Soup
It's nice, but I couldn’t figure out what the floating thing was.
🔺 Hungarian Beef Soup
Includes basic ingredients like carrots, potatoes, and beef chunks; the broth has good flavor.
🔺 Bacon and Egg Flat Noodles
Topped with a onsen egg 🤤 There’s a lot of bacon, about 20 slices, but unfortunately, the white sauce didn't thicken up, and the noodles don't really taste like pasta... they’re more like wonton noodles.
🔺 Black Truffle Garlic Mushroom Risotto
Served in moderate portions, the risotto is improved for Taiwanese tastes, so it's not hard in the center; it has king oyster mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms on top, with something that feels like fried cheese slices, which is delicious! The garlic flavor isn’t overpowering, very nice!
🔺 Hokkaido Honey Cream Cake 👍🏼
The cake is astonishingly delicious, with a dense texture and rich honey flavor, the whipped cream is plentiful, giving a sense of guilt.
🔺 Cinnamon Apple Puff Pastry
The pastry base is slightly hard, with enough cinnamon flavor and warm apples, it pairs well with ice cream.
🔺 Chocolate Soft Serve Milkshake 👍🏼
The chocolate isn’t fake sweet; it’s a bit sweet, but you can add water to turn it into a super large cup that's very filling. The soft serve also enhances the texture, making it smoother.
🔺 Banana Soft Serve Milkshake 👍🏼
While not very large, it has a strong banana flavor and is very tasty.
I originally thought there’s no need to make a reservation for regular crowd at Cathay,
but it must be because of the nearby Lalaport crowd.
The Cathay area is packed, and you have to wait at any restaurant.
I was hungry all day and wanted to eat at Shabu Shabu Yakiniku, which is part of the same group,
but the waiting time was 2 hours!😵💫 So crazy.
I shifted to my second choice, Gu La Jue,
mainly because of #Taiwan pay 20% with Yun Piao Group,
$200 discount for a single purchase over $1,000 is super generous!🔥
Event ends on 6/30, leaving the remaining discount for Shabu Shabu Yakiniku 🍲.
