When it comes to the favorite spot for Chinese-style stir-fry in Taipei, "Linyang Port" is undoubtedly the top choice for many locals for gatherings and after-work drinks. The lively atmosphere, diverse menu, and delicious drinks make this place's long-standing popularity no coincidence. During this gathering, we ordered several classic dishes and popular recommendations. While the overall performance had its ups and downs, it’s still a worthy old-school stir-fry restaurant to revisit.

First, I highly recommend the "Pineapple Shrimp Balls".
This is a signature dish that is a must-order every time we visit. The shrimp balls are large, with a light batter, perfectly paired with the mildly sweet and sour mayonnaise pineapple. They’re enjoyable both hot and cold, and even those who don’t like sweets will be satisfied. It’s a "peaceful dish" perfect for sharing at the table. 🍤

The "Fried Dragon Pearls"
is another great snack to have with beer. They are crispy and packed with texture, with a lovely crunch outside and a chewy inside, without any fishy taste. Whether as a side dish or an appetizer, they are excellent, with a rich flavor that isn’t greasy, making them quite memorable!

The "Three-Cup Matsusaka Pork"
tastes quite good, with a nice balance of basil and sauce, and an inviting aroma. However, it’s a bit disappointing that the portion of meat is small, with a higher ratio of ingredients, leaving you a little wanting in terms of "finding the meat."

The "Kung Pao Chicken"
is stir-fried to perfection; the sauce is just right—not too wet. The peanut and chili aroma stands out, and the salty yet slightly spicy flavor is quite appetizing.

The "Scallion Beef"
is fairly standard. While not unpleasant, the quality of the meat and cooking isn’t particularly outstanding, making it a safe but unremarkable choice.

The "Golden Sand Egg Tofu"
is somewhat disappointing, lacking a strong salted egg yolk flavor and crispiness, and the tofu itself is a bit soft, resulting in a somewhat vague overall flavor.

The "Bacon Cabbage"
is cooked just right, retaining the crunch of the cabbage while absorbing the fragrance of bacon. It’s deliciously savory and pairs very well with rice.

Overall, Linyang Port maintains the stability and lively atmosphere that an old-fashioned stir-fry restaurant should have. The dishes have both highlights and more mundane offerings, but it remains a stable quality choice in a mid-range price category—ideal for family gatherings or casual get-togethers with friends. I recommend first-time visitors prioritize the shrimp balls, dragon pearls, and a few classic stir-fries to avoid any disappointments!
