You can tell with one sip that this hand-shaken tea is completely different from other Vietnamese teas.

Sunbay Lab: Blue Line, a branch of He Ping Wu Long, takes a more refined path with its tea drinks. Compared to other branches specializing in roasted tea, the menu is streamlined yet focused, featuring only high-quality tea varieties sourced from Taiwan. This makes it not just a drink, but a meeting with Taiwanese tea culture.

The brewed Oolong tea in-store comes from Ming Jian Township in Nantou, the Red Oolong is taken from Alishan in Chiayi, and the Hsuan Oolong originates from Shanlinxi in Nantou. The names of these origins themselves are a guarantee of quality. Sourced from the century-old "San Yi Tea Company," they combine traditional tea-making techniques with modern extraction methods, locking the fragrance of tea into every cup.

The indoor space is simple and refreshing, allowing guests to sip on the aroma of tea in an air-conditioned environment.

This time, I ordered three types of tea drinks.

The "Watermelon Roasted Oolong" combines Nantou roasted Oolong with the sweet aroma of watermelon for a summer treat. The first sip brings the sweetness of watermelon, while the finish reveals a subtle tea fragrance. Although refreshing and thirst-quenching, the sweetness of the watermelon somewhat overshadows the tea's nuances, which may be slightly disappointing for tea connoisseurs.

The "Lemon Honey Oolong" strikes a perfect balance between sour and sweet. The bright aroma of lemon blends harmoniously with the smoothness of Oolong tea, offering distinct layers that not only quell any greasy feel but also create a refreshing sensation that makes you want to take sip after sip.

The "Plum Aroma Roasted Oolong" was a delightful surprise of the day. The tea plum jelly at the bottom not only adds texture but allows the sweet and sour flavor of the plum to intertwine naturally and harmoniously with the roasted scent of the tea. After drinking, you can still chew on the jelly’s resilience and fragrance, leaving a long-lasting finish.

In terms of pricing, a single cup is priced at 80 NT dollars, only available in medium size, which is indeed higher than typical hand-shaken drinks. However, if you consider it as a carefully selected premium Taiwanese tea item, this price is actually reasonable, and it's worth having a cup if you pass by occasionally.

Whether you're looking for a genuinely smooth tea drink or a quiet corner to appreciate the aroma of tea in the afternoon, this place can satisfy both.

Located across from National Taipei University of Education, Shan Bei specializes in creative drinks centered around Taiwanese tea, blending fruits, floral notes, and tea flavor to present a multi-layered taste combination. The interior design of the shop is minimalist and comfortable, with a clean and bright seating area that is perfect for sitting down to slowly savor tea and chat. In addition to tea drinks, they also sell pudding and snacks, offering more choices for customers who want to pair their beverages with something sweet. However, it's worth noting that many drinks are only available in medium size, which might be a bit unsatisfactory for those who prefer larger portions.

The first drink tasted was the "Plum Fragrance Roasted Oolong."
This is a very distinctive option. Upon entry, you first experience the intertwined sweet and sour aroma of plum, followed closely by the roasted fragrance of oolong tea that slowly spreads in the mouth, resulting in a rich layering of flavors with hints of sour and sweetness. There’s also plum tea jelly at the bottom of the cup; it is recommended to stir it with a straw before drinking, which allows you to enjoy the chewy texture of the jelly along with the fusion of tea and plum flavors, making the drink more interesting.

The "Lemon Honey Oolong" presents a different style. The initial sip delivers the bright sour aroma of lemon, accompanied by a natural fruity sweetness, and the rich oolong tea taste gradually emerges in the aftertaste. This drink has a distinctly clear sense of layers, with a smooth and natural transition between sour and sweet, making it suitable for customers who enjoy a sweet-tart tea beverage while still appreciating the tea aroma.

The "Watermelon Roasted Oolong" is the sweetest of the three options and cannot be served unsweetened. It has a smooth and refreshing texture, with the tea aroma blending naturally with the fruity scent of watermelon, giving the illusion of biting into a red-fleshed watermelon while sipping oolong tea. However, the presence of oolong flavor is subtle, making it ideal for tea drinkers who prefer rich fruity and sweet flavors.

Overall, Shan Bei puts a lot of effort into the flavor design of its tea beverages, achieving a balance between Taiwanese tea and different fruit flavors. Most drinks retain the aroma and layers of the tea itself, without being overpowered by excessive sugar or ingredients. However, for customers who do not favor sweetness, options like the Watermelon Roasted Oolong, which has a fixed sweetness level, may come across as a bit sweet!

If you're a tea enthusiast, especially one who enjoys sipping tea amidst refreshing fruit flavors, Shan Bei is a small shop worth visiting. It is recommended for first-time visitors to try the Plum Fragrance Roasted Oolong and the Lemon Honey Oolong—both offer a delightful combination of sweet and sour fruit aromas while allowing you to appreciate the tea flavor, making them excellent introductory choices for the shop’s tea offerings.

Hello everyone, I am little frog🐸
Located near the MRT Science and Technology Building Station, "Shanbao" is the "Sanyi Tea Shop" from Mingjian Township, Nantou

This beverage shop was recommended by a colleague. After trying it, I really like it. I will almost always repurchase it as long as it is nearby.
There are many kinds of tea drinks, but the roasting level and tea type are marked on-site. There are even thoughtful labels on the caffeine content and calories.
Tea drinks are all freshly brewed, so you need to wait patiently~
The Ping Wolong branch also has several inside seating areas, where guests can sit down, drink tea and take a break.

Large cup: 660ml / Medium cup: 480ml

⭐️Black Snow Robin $70
That’s it…brown sugar and ruby fresh milk tea!!
It’s a thunderstorm in the summer afternoon. I want to drink hot milk tea today. This milk tea uses Sakurajima’s fresh milk⋯
Lightly roasted Robin black tea is paired with fresh milk and brown sugar. It is sweet but not greasy. It has a rich tea aroma and a warm milky aroma, which is very smooth.

〰️Warm drinks are only available in medium cup size

⭐️Ink Chi Latte $70
That’s it…burnt red fresh milk tea!!
This cup was ordered by a friend, but I didn’t take two sips because of this item... I’ve had it before 😉
It is based on re-roasted Mochi black tea, which has a honey-burnt aroma, and is paired with Sakurajima's fresh milk. The overall taste is a burnt-flavored black tea latte with a strong tea flavor. It is a fresh milk tea with a heavy tea flavor~

‼ ️Conclusion:
The tea soup tastes smooth and not bitter. The quality of the freshly extracted tea is stable. I have repurchased it many times😆
