The taro balls at Little South Gate are still chewy and resilient, perfect for those who love sweets, but the potstickers did not meet expectations; they were a bit greasy and not crispy, making them not very value for money.
The atmosphere in the store is relaxed, offering a variety of sweet soups and snack options, making it convenient and comfortable, especially suitable for cooling off in the summer.
Although some reviews mention poor service attitude and incorrect orders, I did not encounter these issues in my personal experience, so I suggest customers consider their own experiences.
Reviewer on braces: There is a washbasin at the food street.
Xiao Nanmen Tofu Pudding 101 shop, I had a good impression from my previous visit, so I returned and ordered a bowl of rice cake, tapioca balls, and mung beans (65 NT dollars), and also ordered 10 potstickers (160 NT dollars) separately.
The rice cake remains the highlight of this place, chewy and springy, with a hint of sweetness, making it easy to eat. The tapioca balls are quite ordinary, and the mung beans have a creamy texture, but the overall sweetness is on the high side, and it gets a bit overwhelming towards the end. It would be better if they could reduce the sugar syrup or offer sweetness adjustments.
The potstickers are quite large, but they are harder to eat than those from Ba Fang Yun Ji; they are not crispy and a bit oily, and the filling is not particularly outstanding. The price is also relatively high, so the cost-performance ratio isn't very good.
Overall, the rice cake performs consistently well, and the dessert is suitable for people with a sweet tooth, but I do not recommend the potstickers.

In fact, my favorite thing is to order red bean glutinous rice balls in winter. They are just right in sweetness and warm the stomach. In summer, I like to order sweet soup with rice cakes. The rice cakes here are as good as Q bombs.
You can’t go wrong with the 12 combinations in the store (except for rice noodles, which tend to clump together). Any order of them is very refreshing, cool and refreshing. However, sometimes the sweetness of the hand-added sugar water is uneven and not sweet enough, so you can tell the store staff~
