Reviewer on braces: There is a washbasin at the food street.
Xiao Nanmen Tofu Pudding 101 shop, I had a good impression from my previous visit, so I returned and ordered a bowl of rice cake, tapioca balls, and mung beans (65 NT dollars), and also ordered 10 potstickers (160 NT dollars) separately.
The rice cake remains the highlight of this place, chewy and springy, with a hint of sweetness, making it easy to eat. The tapioca balls are quite ordinary, and the mung beans have a creamy texture, but the overall sweetness is on the high side, and it gets a bit overwhelming towards the end. It would be better if they could reduce the sugar syrup or offer sweetness adjustments.
The potstickers are quite large, but they are harder to eat than those from Ba Fang Yun Ji; they are not crispy and a bit oily, and the filling is not particularly outstanding. The price is also relatively high, so the cost-performance ratio isn't very good.
Overall, the rice cake performs consistently well, and the dessert is suitable for people with a sweet tooth, but I do not recommend the potstickers.
