I ordered a serving, and I realized it's completely different from traditional apple pie. Instead of the usual crust, they use a puff pastry technique, layering thin slices of apples inside and topping it with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream.

It feels fresh to eat, presenting a dessert style that is rarely encountered, and it’s not overly sweet.

The pastry is very crispy and thin. When you cut into it with a fork, it crumbles a lot, which is perfect for scooping up some ice cream to enjoy together. The texture is rich and substantial, making it a dish worth trying.

I was expecting the kind of cinnamon-cooked apple filling, rather than these fresh apples. The puff pastry is baked very well, and the vanilla ice cream is just regular vanilla ice cream. This "topped with fresh apple slices" style of apple pie is the first time I’ve encountered, and I must say I still prefer the traditional method of making apple pie.
