The flavor of the spring rolls is rich, with more than a dozen different specialty wrappers to choose from. The green Sichuan pepper and century egg spring roll has a unique texture, and when paired with strawberry skin, it offers a distinctive flavor. The amount of vegetables is abundant, and the prices are reasonable. The degree of customization is high, with a variety of ingredients, resulting in a rich taste that leaves a lasting impression.
The store does not have an indoor dining area; it is all for takeout. Free bonito broth is available for self-service, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed, making it suitable for quick purchases.
The staff recommends ordering food online for more convenience, as they are friendly and efficient.

This is a shop that friends must visit when they come to Puli! This time I happened to be in Nantou and specifically came to visit. The shop has no dine-in area, only takeout. When I arrived, the staff mentioned that ordering online for pickup is more convenient.
I was taken aback when I entered the shop; there were tons of ingredients on display, and many flavors to choose from. The most special thing is definitely the daily limited spring roll skins; today it was strawberry. There are also unique skins made from purple sweet potato, carrot, spinach, dragon fruit, and more. Additionally, the sweetness of the powdered sugar and peanut powder can be adjusted, making it quite customizable.
Since it was my first time eating here, I chose the original flavor for the fillings, but selected the special strawberry skin of the day with normal sweetness. I actually don't have a strong passion for spring rolls and often feel a bit tired of them halfway through eating, but this one was super delicious! It costs $50 for a big portion, and besides the common ingredients like cabbage and bean sprouts, it also includes small ingredients like dried tofu, making it extremely rich in texture. By the time I finished, I wasn't feeling sick of it but rather full 😂 It was really delicious! The strawberry skin had a hint of sweetness and strawberry aroma, which was a bit offbeat but didn’t affect the overall tastiness.
This is definitely a flavor I would want to buy again in the future. Unfortunately, it’s a bit far from me; I think there’s a branch in Xinzhuang, New Taipei, but I don’t know if the quality is as good as the main store. Additionally, there’s free bonito broth available for self-service takeout drinks. If it opened near my home, I would definitely visit often!!

Jia Run Bing is located in Puli, Nantou, and I always bring one back every time I visit or pass by. The shop offers a special selection of spring roll skins daily, with more than ten varieties. This time, I had the strawberry skin, but you need to specifically request it; otherwise, they will use the regular white skin. There are 12 flavors available, with prices ranging from 50 to 70 TWD, and you can customize it by removing ingredients like peanut powder or cilantro. Additionally, the shop provides free bonito fish and pork bone soup.
This time I ordered the green Sichuan pepper skin and century egg spring roll for 70 TWD. I had tried it before and thought it was good; the numbing aroma of the green Sichuan pepper pairs very well with the century egg. Adding a bit of sweet peanut powder makes this combination quite unique compared to regular spring rolls. I took it home to Taipei, and it still tasted great. The portion of the spring roll is sufficient, with plenty of vegetables, so one is enough to fill you up. Next time I'm in Puli, I will definitely visit this shop again. I heard there is also a branch in Xinzhuang, but I haven’t been there yet.
