This is a shop that friends must visit when they come to Puli! This time I happened to be in Nantou and specifically came to visit. The shop has no dine-in area, only takeout. When I arrived, the staff mentioned that ordering online for pickup is more convenient.
I was taken aback when I entered the shop; there were tons of ingredients on display, and many flavors to choose from. The most special thing is definitely the daily limited spring roll skins; today it was strawberry. There are also unique skins made from purple sweet potato, carrot, spinach, dragon fruit, and more. Additionally, the sweetness of the powdered sugar and peanut powder can be adjusted, making it quite customizable.
Since it was my first time eating here, I chose the original flavor for the fillings, but selected the special strawberry skin of the day with normal sweetness. I actually don't have a strong passion for spring rolls and often feel a bit tired of them halfway through eating, but this one was super delicious! It costs $50 for a big portion, and besides the common ingredients like cabbage and bean sprouts, it also includes small ingredients like dried tofu, making it extremely rich in texture. By the time I finished, I wasn't feeling sick of it but rather full 😂 It was really delicious! The strawberry skin had a hint of sweetness and strawberry aroma, which was a bit offbeat but didn’t affect the overall tastiness.
This is definitely a flavor I would want to buy again in the future. Unfortunately, it’s a bit far from me; I think there’s a branch in Xinzhuang, New Taipei, but I don’t know if the quality is as good as the main store. Additionally, there’s free bonito broth available for self-service takeout drinks. If it opened near my home, I would definitely visit often!!
