This is the 【WASO CAFE】 in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. It is very popular, and there is almost always a queue during meal times. Payments can only be made with Octopus cards or cash. Ordering is done by scanning a QR code online. The decor follows a retro Hong Kong-style tea restaurant theme, but the floor is a bit sticky, possibly indicating insufficient cleaning.

We ordered two items:

One is the Scallion Oil Pork Chop with Fried Egg Rice. The pork chop is cooked just right, with thickness and juiciness, and the surface has a slight char that adds a lovely aroma. Paired with the fluffy white rice and scallion oil, the overall taste is savory and goes well with rice. The fried egg has a perfectly runny yolk, making it a classic and unbeatable combination in this type of tea restaurant.

The other dish is a noodle soup base (with coriander and century egg) + pork intestine + meatballs + fried egg. The coriander and century egg soup base is surprisingly refreshing and has layers of flavor, not the overly rich taste one might expect. The coriander blends well with the flavor of the century egg. The pork intestine is well handled, tender yet with a bit of chew, and the fried egg yolk is still slightly runny. Overall, the bowl is warm and comforting; if you're a cilantro lover, you can't miss this.

The only small disappointment is that the pineapple buns were sold out during the dinner time, which is unfortunate.

What we brought today is
🗣️Hong Kong’s popular check-in tea restaurant

🔺Environment
We arrived around eight o'clock and there were already a lot of people. It was super crowded.
But the six of us happened to be arranged in a small box-like place, completely separated from the people outside, so it was very comfortable.

❣️Pork chop and pineapple bun💰hk29
The pineapple bread crust is baked to a crispy texture and tastes a little sweet like pineapple bread🤣
The pork chop itself is a little thick, and it doesn't taste like a regular breakfast restaurant's reconstituted pork chop, but the meat is a bit firm and a little tough.
It contains lettuce and 🍅 (tomato can be customized, but I removed it), which gives the whole body more texture and is less cloying.

🥲Lemon tea less sugar💰hk20
The first bite was super bitter! 😭
I wanted to say that Shaosuang is the same as Taiwan’s Shaosuang. I was wrong. His tea is super bitter.
People think it's sweet but it's bitter. I added three packets of sugar and managed to drink until 1/3 was left.
The bitterness at the end is really unbearable
The drinks and milk tea served by my friends who were traveling with me were also very bitter.
I checked Google reviews and no one mentioned this. Maybe we are not used to the taste of Hong Kong drinks🥹

🤗Summary
It is recommended to order the drinks with full sugar, the pineapple buns are delicious👍
Food served quickly
Come as soon as it opens so you don’t have to wait, but the table turnover rate is pretty fast.
Since I didn’t eat at other ice houses on this trip, I can’t compare with others.
The overall taste is not too amazing, there should be better choices
